At least the McCain camp understands the type of campaign Obama will run this fall. A campaign in which they attack and attack while they call any counterattack “meanspirited and personal.” And don’t forget the race issue which will be brought up by the 527’s….count on it. Any attack against Obama will suddenly be racist.
Here is Obama whining about the truth:
Barack Obama chastised John McCain Thursday for engaging in “smear” politics, and defended himself from critics who question whether he is capable of being commander-in-chief, during a wide-ranging interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer — his first sit-down since the Indiana and North Carolina primaries.
“This is offensive, and I think it’s disappointing,” Obama told Blitzer, when asked his thoughts about McCain’s comments that the terrorist organization Hamas wants Obama to be president. “Because John McCain always says ‘I am not going to run that kind of politics,’ and to engage in that kind of smear is unfortunate, particularly because my policy toward Hamas has been no different than his.
Fact:
During an interview on WABC radio Sunday, top Hamas political adviser Ahmed Yousef said the terrorist group supports Obama’s foreign policy vision. “We don’t mind – actually we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will [win] the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance,” Yousef said in response to a question about the group’s willingness to meet with either of the Democratic presidential candidates.
No way to dispute that Mr. Obama. It’s not a personal attack against you. Just plain ole facts. Kinda surprised the messiah didn’t use his patented “it’s a distraction” statement but its all familiar.
First, let us be clear about the nature of Senator Obama’s attack today: He used the words ‘losing his bearings’ intentionally, a not particularly clever way of raising John McCain’s age as an issue. This is typical of the Obama style of campaigning.
We have all become familiar with Senator Obama’s new brand of politics. First, you demand civility from your opponent, then you attack him, distort his record and send out surrogates to question his integrity. It is called hypocrisy, and it is the oldest kind of politics there is.
It is important to focus on what Senator Obama is attempting to do here: He is trying desperately to delegitimize the discussion of issues that raise legitimate questions about his judgment and preparedness to be President of the United States.
Through their actions and words, Senator Obama and his supporters have made clear that ANY criticism on ANY issue — from his desire to raise taxes on millions of small investors to his radical plans to sit down face-to-face with Iranian President Ahmadinejad – constitute negative, personal attacks.
Senator Obama is hopeful that the media will continue to form a protective barrier around him, declaring serious limits to the questions, discussion and debate in this race.
Senator Obama has good reason to think this plan will succeed, as serious journalists have written of the need for ‘de-tox’ to cure ‘swooning’ over Senator Obama, and others have admitted to losing their objectivity while with him on the campaign trail.
Much more where that comes from so go visit the link.
Now this wouldn’t be the first time Obama has mischaracterized McCain’s remarks. Recall the 100 years in Iraq attack.
Believe me….there is plenty more where that came from.
Either way….Obama is spinning, lying, and mischaracterizing to avoid a debate:
We understand why Senator Obama doesn’t want to engage in a debate over leadership and judgment with John McCain, but the American people demand that debate take place.

I completely agree with your Obama campaign assesment and it is one of the primordial reasons why I can not stand the man.BHO says he is above the fray, new politics if you like, but sends his surrogates on the attack or takes a cheap shot himself…and thats ok… but,if you have the absolute audacity to defend yourself or critisize his policy, you are labelled as being some sort of mean spirited racist.I cant tell you how many times Ive been insulted and called racist in the last six months by Obama supporters because I dissagree with his stand on most issues.A regular bunch of Bodhisattvas that bunch are not,I can tell you that!!!The DNC can continue living in la la lefty land and pretend everything is fantastic but the party IS fractured and McCain should try and capitalise on that and work to poach the disgruntled Clinton supporters who would rather spoil their ballots or stay home, than vote for Obama.
I believe Obama is already allowing himself to be boxed in here. There is a reason why governments don’t talk to these factions. McCain just has to rattle off these organizations and say to talk to those groups, they want legitimacy, money and weapons. McCain could then follow up with that Obama has already given these groups legitimacy and now in order to talk with them, all he has left is to give them money or weapons. So it ends up that Obama has said that he will talk to those groups and that he will have to use taxpayer money and U.S. weapons to do so. It’ll be Obama’s arms for hostages type of deal. Obama then would be bashed either way. Either he will have to break his promise to talk to these groups, a lynch pin in Obama’s foreign policy, or follow through with his foreign policy and get bashed for wanting to fund those groups. I believe Obama already set himself up for those kinds of issues too.
Hussein O is a socialist/Marxist. His minister and his wife are radical blacks. He has surrounded himself with radical blacks and radical muslims. If elected he will appoint judges who will rule according to social and economic guidelines instead of the Constitution. He will not serve and protect, but he will talk a lot. Whenever any of these facts come up though the defense is always racism. The ‘dumbing down of America’ has progressed to the degree that he probably has enough votes with the help of the media to get elected.
