In a sign that Europe is moving one step closer to Sharia law, I spied this article in FOX News. I actually wanted to follow up on this report as I heard it last night originally on Hannity & Colmes.

Essentially, the Catholic priest has entered into his own plea deal with terrorism. By pandering to fundamentalism, it would seem the priest is hoping to strike a chord with militant Islam: I bow to your god, and in return, you spare my life.

After reading the report and watching Hannity & Colmes, I thought we better parse the report as well as the priest’s words. For example, based on testimony from one of the guests on last night’s show, the priest may have said this to either stir up conviction in his people, or place himself in complete Dhimmitude to this true master: terrorism.

“Father Tiny Muskens an outgoing bishop who is retiring in a few weeks from the southern diocese of Breda, said God doesn’t care what he is called. ‘Allah is a very beautiful word for God. Shouldn’t we all say that from now on we will name God Allah? … What does God care what we call him? It is our problem,’ Muskens told Dutch television.”

According to FOX News analyst, Father Jonathan Morris, "Words and names mean things…Referring to God as Allah means something."

Damn right it means something…essentially, it means I am placing my faith in a DIFFERENT God, not the my faith’s deity.

Those on the Islamic end offer their thoughts:

“Ibrahim Hooper, a spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Washington, D.C.-based Islamic civil liberties and advocacy group, backs the idea as a way to help interfaith understanding. ‘It reinforces the fact that Muslims, Christians and Jews all worship the same God,’ Hooper told FOXNews.com. ‘I don’t think the name is as important as the belief in God and following God’s moral principles. I think that’s true for all faiths.’”

“The Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago supports the idea. ‘I think it will open up doors,’ said Janaan Hashim, a spokeswoman for the group representing more than 400,000 Muslim Americans in the Chicago area. ‘Language is a man-made limitation. I think what God cares about is how we fulfill our purpose in life.’"

What hypocrisy…if Hooper and his ilk truly believe that, then why are NON-MUSLIMS reduced to being second and third-class citizens in Muslim countries? Why can they NOT own land, enjoy the same privileges as their Muslim “brethren,” or testify against said brethren in the event a Muslim commits a crime against a non-Muslim.

Thankfully, the United State’s largest Catholic civil rights groups vehemently opposes Muskens’ notion: “Bishop Martinus ‘Tiny’ Muskens can pray to ‘Allah’ all he wants, but only addlepated (sic) Catholics will follow his lead,’ Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights, said in a statement. ‘It is not a good sign when members of the Catholic hierarchy indulge in a fawning exchange with Muslims, or those of any other religion.’"

How can I refer to God as “Allah” when day after day we see Muslim-on-Christian or Muslim-on-Jew violence, where our Lord and Savior is denigrated and made to bow to “Mohammed” in their eyes? This is yet another effort to the appeasers to pander to their Muslim masters.

Unfortunately Muskens and a significant portion of the Left and Europeans on general are so clouded by their Dhimmitude, they cannot reason or think logically. The bottom line is this: referring to God as Allah is tantamount to blasphemy.

What a shameful, sickening display.
