The True Face Of Our Enemy

Loading

This is the act of our enemy, not criminals as many on the left try to make them out to be, but our enemy.

What is that you ask?  It’s from Michael Yon’s latest post on the fighting going on inside "The Surge".  But there was no fight with the enemy here.  Instead al-Qaeda murdered whole families, cut the heads off of their children, and threw em all into these holes pictured above.  They then "blessed" them by placing bombs amongst the bodies.

Michael Ledeen on Yon’s post:

Yon’s latest provides a clear picture of the terrorists’ savage methods. Literally, because it’s mostly photographs of what happened to a village that fell into the claws of al Qaeda. They just tore apart the villagers, their livestock, their children and women, and then boobytrapped the area to try to kill our guys, knowing that they would honor the dead.

And then I think about the terrorists’ latest efforts in England and Scotland, where only innocents were targeted. And of course 9/11. And then I think of so many of our leaders, who seem to be preparing to retreat from Iraq (and therefore Afghanistan), thereby leaving the beasts, as Michael Yon properly calls them, an even broader area of operation.

And then I return to my mantra: the war is much bigger than iraq, we cannot win it in iraq alone, and there is no escape from this war. They are already here, and "bringing the boys home" will gain us nothing. It will only increase the number of victims.

I stopped saying "faster, please" some time ago, because it is obvious that W and his people are not going to take the proper actions against the terror masters. But we must be clear about the nature of the war and the bestial nature of our enemies. Nobody does it better than Michael Yon.

While I disagree with Michael’s view on Bush seeing as how he did install the best in the business with Gen. Petraeus and gave the ok to "The Surge" but the rest of his comments ring true.  There is no escape from this war.  We are fighting an enemy who who will chop the heads off of children, just because: (Michael Yon)

Soldiers from 5th IA said al Qaeda had cut the heads off the children. Had al Qaeda murdered the children in front of their parents? Maybe it had been the other way around: maybe they had murdered the parents in front of the children. Maybe they had forced the father to dig the graves of his children.

[…]While that was happening elsewhere in Baqubah, we stood around the stinking graves of people who had gotten a close-up view of al Qaeda-style justice. The villagers’ bodies were rotting in the heat before us.

This is our enemy folks.  Iraq is one front, and running from that front won’t help us stay secure nor will it prevent the wholesale slaughter that will happen once we leave.

LT Baxter, the tank commander, was concerned that the heat was getting to me, and checked my uniform for sweat, asking several times if I was okay.  They always watch out for me. But I was okay from the heat; I can take the heat as well as our soldiers can. Still, I felt very sick, the kind of sick that no amount of cool water can fix. I put on the comms in the tank, then ripped them off and left off my helmet and held the jet hose of the air conditioner on my face as the tank rumbled back to base.

While the left worries that womens panties are being placed on the heads of the enemy at Gitmo, the enemy are slaughtering whole familes.

And they care little about that fact, all they want, all they crave is that we run so they can say "AH-HA!  I told you Bush was wrong!"

Sad and pathetic.

I always thought that Bush was gearing up to deal with Iran at some point. There are three carrier groups over there now? But he doesn’t seem to think border security is very important whether it involves protecting Americans here or American soldiers over there.
He seems willing to indefinitely allow Iranian attacks to go on. Perhaps there is a grand strategy to deal with Iranian terror. Or, more likely, we have the case of someone who can’t deal with his job and is trying to coast until retirement. He certainly has distanced himself from those who would support an attack on Iran.

We knew how he felt about immigration in 2000, it’s dishonest to now be shocked about it.

He most definitely is not just allowing Iran to attack wholesale, you can bet there are plenty of things going on behind the scenes but short of invading the country what can he do? The Democrat controlled Congress sure won’t let him do anything, the liberal Europeans won’t let him….so he pushes a secret program for regime change which is quickly outed to the newspapers.

“Can’t deal with the job”….please.

“Can’t deal with the job” isn’t that Clinton’s campaign slogan, Curt?

What do Dems care about slaughtered families in Iraq? The deceased families can’t vote for them, and their deaths can’t be pinned on US soldiers. This situation brings absolutely no political value to Democrats. Hence, the guilt-free ‘cut and run’ policy.
