Three Cheers For Socialism!

Sit down for this one:

MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) – Presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday, saying it’s time to replace an “on your own” society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity.

The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an “ownership society” really is an “on your own” society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.

“I prefer a ‘we’re all in it together’ society,” she said. “I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none.”

Good ole’ Socialism at work there.  We will wait with bated breath as she gives all of her millions upon millions to the Government, so they can then distribute it to the populace.  Maybe she can at least match Dick Cheney and give 75% of her earnings to charity….

Won’t happen.

Why?  Because Socialism doesn’t work.  It’s a pipedream utopia that is held in high regard by the young, who don’t know any better, and the aged hippies.  Oh, and it’s held in this high regard by one other segment of the population.  Those seeking power.

Power to people like herself who would decide who, what, when, where, and how the money they take out of our pockets goes to people they deem most worthy.  She wants the power to decide who makes too much, more power to stifle creativity, more power to stifle the economy, all for the "good of the people".

I mean we have enough corrupt politicians as it is with Feinstein and Reid in our capitalist Democracy.  Imagine what would happen with a Socialist government.

But here we have Hillary telling us that self-reliance is bad.  Individuality is bad.  Dependence on Government is good.

Then she has the gall to state:

"It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none.”

So she will support the end of affirmative action now?  That god awful policy where because of the color of one’s skin they get promoted and hired, doesn’t matter how incompetent they are, they get the job, they get the pay raise, they get the chair at a university.

Will she now call for the end of this "special privilege"?

Kinda doubt that one.

“There is no greater force for economic growth than free markets. But markets work best with rules that promote our values, protect our workers and give all people a chance to succeed,” she said. “Fairness doesn’t just happen. It requires the right government policies.”

So a free market that is micromanaged and has regulation policies coming out of its ass work best?

Ah….the type of analysis only a hippie could love.

It’s obvious that a vote for Hillary means a vote to side-step personal responsibility.  A vote for Hillary means you too can become dependent on government.

What a gal!

I have to ask….which way do we go from here America?

Do we go with individualism, self reliance, or dependence on an all knowing, all controlling welfare state?

I remember when self reliance was considered something to aspire to.

Now its noble to put your hand out.

This isn’t Bizzarro Earth or something, right?

Socialism?
Didn’t that fail when the Soviets tried it?

Conservative Republicanism?
Didn’t that fail when America tried it?

The answer to both questions is the same.

I’m loving your comparisons today floppy.
Tell us how illegal immigrants are just using NAFTA to export their resources (labor) into America just as American companies use NAFTA to export their resources (patents, etc) into Mexico.

This IS fun!!

“Conservative Republicanism?
Didn’t that fail when America tried it?”

Oh yeah… greatest peacetime economic expansion in our nation’s history started with Reagan.

Or were you just born yesterday Robert?

Conservative Republicanism?
Didn’t that fail when America tried it?

Nope, fixed the mess Jimmy Carter got us into and then the huge mess Clinton got us into…especially al-Qaeda.

Nice try little one, maybe go back to drawing with your crayons and leave the thinking to the big boys.
