You gotta love Bruce Willis. He is an awesome actor, and has a good head on his shoulders. Unlike the majority in hollywood:

The Die Hard star understands some of his colleagues want to do good for various causes, but wishes others would keep their thoughts to themselves. He says, "I don’t think my opinion means jack s**t, because I’m an actor. "Why do actors think their opinions mean more because you act? You just caught a break as an actor. There are hundreds – thousands – of actors who are just as good as I am, and probably better. "Have you heard anything useful come out of an actor’s mouth lately?" He adds, "Although I liked George Clooney’s documentary on Darfur."

In response to a discussion on movie site Ain’t It Cool News about Die Hard 4’s supposed PG-13 rating, Bruce Willis logged in and joined the chat under the name “Walter B.”

It’s a funny thing. Once when I was sent to work Universal Citywalk substation for the summer, back in 99 I think, we were standing around watching the crowd from a Poison reunion concert exit the hall. Gotta tell ya, that was mighty interesting in itself, what with the 30 & 40 somethings trying to fit into their zip around pants and spandex, mighty interesting. But anyways, up walks Kevin Costner walking in the crowd with his daughter (whom he had taken to the concert) and a rather obvious bodyguard. I was so shocked seeing him I kind of blurted out “how can you just walk around with the crowd like that?” to which he just stared at me with a look of “you stupid idiot”. Oh man, I felt like a fool. I covered it up pretty well telling him that my wife, daughter and I had seen him play with the Cal State Fullerton baseball team a few months prior but afterwards I was slapping myself in the head thinking what the hell came over me.
Being around people you see on the big screen, or your favorite band makes people act stupid I suppose.
Costner was pretty cool actually, he walked up to us Deputies instead of the other way around, to talk to us. Seemed down to earth like Bruce seems to be.
I’m not impressed by most clebrities, but I’d be exited to meet Bruce Willis. He’s a dude.
God, I f**king love Bruce Willis; he’s such a throwback to the days when everyone wasn’t a total pussy.
Now just to get him away from using Macs. It’s like Hollywood is this bizarre pocket of reality that uses Betamax or something.

If Bruce were a liberal and not a conservative, he might think differently about the mostly liberal movie stars speaking out.
Anyway, they have as much right to speak as anyone. Just ignore them, like everyone ignores you and me.
u got to remember stars aren’t tech heads, so it makes sense to use a computer that is designed so even an idiot can use it. Hence the mac, the computer most idiots use 😛

Macs are about a 15 on the RC Collins Blows-o-meter. Another reason why Bruce is one of my favorite actors. 🙂

As much as you’d all love to believe he did that forum-thing just for his fans, well, you’ve been seriously fooled. It was a PR-trick(very effective) for Die hard 4. They knew that the media would pick up the news that Bruce is such a stand up guy, just talking to fans like that.
If you read all the text on the forum you’d see that there’s a lot of people that actually believe it to be Bruce, but he keeps saying, “I can prove it’s me” when only one person doubts. And later on when no one even cares to ask he keeps saying he wants to prove it’s him.
It was obviously paid by Apple as well, he says he’s too stupid or lazy to learn how to use a PC, so therefore he uses a mac and only Ichat. Please open your eyes to these “scams”. The PR-trick is a more developed form of a “buzz”. It’s a way to play with our minds when we least expect it. Please look up the term, it’s not a secret, even though they’d like to keep it as secret as possible.
The irony of a blog flogging this story is lost on everyone? Shut up bloggers. Shut up posters.

Bruce Willis also did a lot for US military units and attended a military ball for at least one battalion returning from OIF. He has done a lot more, but never sought any publicity for it.
That says more positive things about his character and worth for me than anything.
