Interesting how the Geneva Convention doesn’t apply when the people violating it are antagonists of the United States isn’t it? Mike says: March 28, 2007 at 9:11 pm No surprise there Quilly Mammoth. The lefties have been treating the Geneva Convention in the same way they treat the U.S. Constitution. As a “living document” which can be redefined to suit whatever political goals and objectives they have at the time. Like the Constitution, it’s not difficult for folks to actually READ these documents and make up their own mind. The link to the Conventions is above. And if anyone is unclear whether the Conventions would apply in this situation, I would cite: Article 2 In addition to the provisions which shall be implemented in peace time, the present Convention shall apply to all cases of declared war or of any other armed conflict which may arise between two or more of the High Contracting Parties, even if the state of war is not recognized by one of them. Pretty much covers it doesn’t it? But that won’t stop the lefties.
