Well, the sulking is over. Now it’s time to let the protest voters know what they really accomplished….

Parties Across the Middle East

When I commented that the Democratic Party’s wins in our elections would prompt celebrations in the Middle East, several Nutroots bloggers immediately accused me of bigotry. And racism. And failing to wash behind my ears.

Racism is the standard Nutroots multi-purpose accusation, of course, as we saw in the elections when GOP candidate Bob Corker was ridiculously accused of using racist “jungle drums” in a campaign ad. (It was standard, stock dramatic music.)

And today we have a rash of reports from the Middle East showing that my “bigoted, racist” prediction was right on the money. The Arab Street is greatly pleased with Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House, and so are their despotic rulers and jihad-enabling media.

Mid-East media hail Bush defeat.

Arabs link Republican loss to Iraq war.

Iran: Democrats victory a way to exit from Iraq quagmire for US.

Tibi rejoices at Republican losses.

Democrats win, France rejoices.

This is far from the first time the Arab Street has celebrated America’s misfortunes:

LGF asks if any Democrat leader come out and repudiated this show of support from people who hate America? President Bush said yesterday that the enemy should not mistake the elections as a sign of weakness. Did any Democrat echo him?

I am not suggesting the entire Middle East is our enemy, but these headlines suggest that our enemies, ie. Iran, Hezbollah, and similar groups are quite pleased at the outcome.

This is what I would think if I was an enemy of the US. Well all I have to do is kill a few thousand people and their government will be overthrown. If I do it quickly I will make them angry. But if I do it slowly their media will sound the drumbeat of defeat, and then their politicians will loose heart and then so will their country. It does not matter what weapons we have if we do not have the political will to use them. We have become a paper tiger.

So how can the Muslims not view the elections of the Democrats as a sign of weakness???…. For further proof, here are the political views of the traitor Murtha today.

A triumphant Rep. John Murtha describes what will happen if he’s elected Majority Leader, to a sympathetic interviewer at NPR: Murtha to Run for Majority Leader in New Congress.

Regarding Iraq:

Winning is not a strategy, victory is not a strategy.

What the Dems will do:

We’re gonna say, here’s a plan that we have, and Speaker Pelosi has signed on to the plan I have, stability in the Middle East, stability in Iraq comes from redeployment of our troops, and that’s gonna be what we’ll work for.

Redeployment, oh I’m sorry, did you mean retreat? Yes, I’m sure retreating will do nothing to encourage the enemy and will not convience them that we are a paper tiger and won’t do sh@# to stop them.

And by them, I mean this….

Beheaded Girls Were Ramadan Trophies

New details have emerged about the horrific murders of three Indonesian Christian schoolgirls in October last year: Beheaded girls were Ramadan ‘trophies’. (Hat tip: LGF readers.)

THREE Christian high school girls were beheaded as a Ramadan “trophy” by Indonesian militants who conceived the idea after a visit to Philippines jihadists, a court heard yesterday.

The girls’ severed heads were dumped in plastic bags in their village in Indonesia’s strife-torn Central Sulawesi province, along with a handwritten note threatening more such attacks. The note read: “Wanted: 100 more Christian heads, teenaged or adult, male or female; blood shall be answered with blood, soul with soul, head with head.”

Javanese trader Hasanuddin appeared in Jakarta Central Court yesterday charged with planning and directing the murders in October last year. He faces a death sentence if found guilty under anti-terrorism legislation.

Hasanuddin allegedly returned from a visit to members of Philippines Islamist group the Moro Islamic Liberation Front with tales of how that organisation regularly staged bombings to coincide with Lebaran, the festival that ends the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. He later spoke with a preacher in Poso, Central Sulawesi, about whether such a plan could work in Indonesia, but expressed doubt about whether it was appropriate.

However, after further discussion with friends, he decided that beheading Christians could qualify as an act of Muslim charity.

Conscripting several accomplices at a local pesantren, or Islamic school, he directed one of them, Lilik Purnomo, to seek out “the head of a Christian”, prosecutors alleged.

“It would be a great Lebaran trophy if we got a Christian. Go search for the best place for us to find one,” Hasanuddin allegedly ordered his companion.

Lilik returned to say he had found an “excellent” target – a group of schoolgirls who travelled to and from class by foot in the Central Sulawesi village of Gebong Rejo.
It’s all from LGF

This is what we were fighting against. This is who we are surrendering to. This is who we encouraged and motivated Tuesday.

When the enemies of your country support your party, what does it say about the values your party represents?
