Some Democrats, breaking ranks from their leadership, today said the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab Zarqawi in Iraq was a stunt to divert attention from an unpopular and hopeless war.
"This is just to cover Bush's [rear] so he doesn't have to answer" for Iraqi civilians being killed by the U.S. military and his own sagging poll numbers, said Rep. Pete Stark, California Democrat. "Iraq is still a mess — get out."
Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich, Ohio Democrat, said Zarqawi was a small part of "a growing anti-American insurgency" and that it's time to get out."We're there for all the wrong reasons," Mr. Kucinich said.
Zarqawi's whole reason for being was to get the United States out of Iraq, to create a civil war. He failed at both and is now taking a dirtnap. How is this not a good thing. The real funny thing about this is these Democrats are now calling for us to do EXACTLY what Zarqawi wanted, leaving, AFTER he is dead.
Calling it a stunt is just un-freakin-believable.

Did you see the Kossie Kiddie who admonished his lefty pals to “”keep your eyes on the prize.” The “prize” for these “Americans” is the propaganda value of the alleged Haditha massacre by Marines.
These folks don’t care about the thousands murdered by Zarqawi. They didn’t care about the hundreds of thousands killed by Saddam.
Hey, that’s okay…I think the whole GD Democratic Party is some kind of a stunt!

And, barbarian organizations tend to collapse once the folks with knowledge, resources, and contacts are eradicated. The Left cannot find anything they can grab. They are going down the hillside. They will not grab the one very easy handhold available – to become a player in defining the lasting peace to come. Like all else the Against Party is doing, they cannot see a role for themselves other than as a ranting 'opposition'. It is there – but they will be remembered as fondly as we now remember Morgenthau. They will be forgoten.
