Another day, another hit piece poll out to show the world that the Democrats are going to take over the Congress.
Six months before Republicans try to hold on to control of Congress in the fall elections, a new poll shows President Bush has slid to the lowest approval rating of his presidency, and a majority of voters say they’ll vote for Democrats in November.
A USA TODAY/Gallup Poll taken Friday through Sunday found Bush’s approval rating at 34%, two points under his previous low. He also received the lowest ratings of his presidency on his handling of the economy, energy and foreign affairs. He tied his previous low on Iraq: 32%.
The poll showed Democrats leading 54%-39% among registered voters who were asked which party they would prefer in a congressional race.
I waited and waited yesterday for CNN to put out the actual questions to their poll to no avail. USA Today did tho, and the only question that tells us how many of each party they contacted is this one:
2. If the elections for Congress were being held today, which party’s candidate would you vote for in your Congressional district? As of today, do you lean more toward the Democratic Party’s candidate or the Republican Party’s candidate?
Which is not quite as good as the ole’ are you a Dem or Rep? But it will have to do I suppose. The answer to the above question was Democrat 54%, Republican 39%.
A difference of 15%.
Then we have this CBS poll whose sampling was closer, Democrats 35% while Republicans 27%. But they also included 37% Independants. WTF! More independants then either Democrats or Republicans….and this is a “correct” cross section of American? Give me a break.
When will these MSM outfits start polling likely voting adults with a sampling ratio that compares to the rest of the United States? Never, because then they would have to print “Bush’s approval ratings go up”. We will not see that EVER before this election.

All polls are biased. Everyone actually thinks W is doing a great job.

Repeat it often enough and after each new poll is released and you’ll soon start to believe it.
Just wanted to point out that Bush is at roughly 30% approval and almost 60% disapproval. This isn’t a hit piece, it is trying to tell the GOPers that they are failing (GOPers and reality don’t mix well). The people of the US are not happy with the Republican party, and the GOP needs to accept that they have failed.
