NYC Bombing Threat - Flopping Aces

And now coming to a subway near you from the Religion of Peace comes this gift:

The New York Police Department and FBI are investigating a “credible” tip that 19 operatives have been deployed to the city to place bombs in the subway, and security in the subways will be increased.

While the police department is taking the threat seriously, it is also urging the public not to be alarmed because ? while the source is credible ? the information has not been verified.

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said this was the most specifically detailed threat made against the subway system, and he urged New Yorkers to be vigilant.

“I wanted to assure New Yorkers that we have done and we will continue to do everything we can to protect the city,” Bloomberg said. “We will spare no resource. We will spare no expense.”

According to sources in intelligence, emergency services and police headquarters, when three Iraqi insurgents were arrested several days ago during a raid by a joint FBI-CIA team, one of those caught disclosed the threat. Because it slipped out during the arrest, the plot was deemed credible.

After several days of work, sources said, the NYPD is increasingly concerned because it has been unable to discredit the initial source and additional information from the source.

The 19 operatives were to place improvised explosive devices in the subways using briefcases, according to two sources. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said officers will continue to check bags, briefcases, luggage and strollers, and additional uniformed and undercover officers will be riding in individual subway cars.

The police are deploying additional officers, dogs and heavy weapons teams in subways and commuter rail terminals, sources said.

Department of Homeland Security sources told ABC News they are very doubtful the threat information is credible, though NYPD sources said the information continues to come in and is disturbing.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, told The Associated Press, “Obviously, this is a significant threat.”

Mark Marshon, assistant director in charge of the New York office of the FBI, said the investigation has helped stop the plans. “The encouraging news is that classified operations have in fact partially disrupted this threat,” he said.

Bloomberg added that he will continue to ride the subways.

During the press conference Mayor Bloomberg stated that they have never had a threat with this much specific information and that it has to be taken seriously. It appears that the information they received had dates, times, and locations and because of the arrests they have been able to partially disrupt the terrorists plans.

Officials told NBC that the informant said attackers would try to smuggle explosives onto the New York train system ? possibly in baby carriages ? in an imitation of the London and Madrid attacks, several sources told NBC.

Don’t I know that feeling. Many times the cop on the street is the last to know this kind of stuff. I can’t tell you how many times my coworkers and I have had to tune into the MSM to get any information on significant events involving the area we work, and we know how realible the MSM is.

Apparently a news outlet had information on this threat two days ago, but they were asked to hold the information, and they did. Most likely, this is because our law enforcement had to undertake operations or at least investigate without causing attention and tipping off the suspects.

Anytime they want something, whether it’s another country, more of our rights, more of our money. They just blame Al Queida for it, they are a phony universal boogeymen to scare weak minded gullible sheeple into compliance.

They are clearly in deep, deep trouble if they are going back to their campaign tactics of All Fear, All the Time. The problem is that I don’t think it will work. Once the indictments come down, the Administration will be in it deep. Nevertheless, we should steel ourselves for the Administration’s All Terrorism tactics. We all remember how the Administration manipulated the nation through the course of the campaign to gain an advantage over Kerry. The fear tactics ended when the President got his second term.

Does this have anything to do with the Puppet’s speech today about Iraq becoming a hot bed for terrorism? Someone needs to investigate the credibility of Iraqi insurgents just offering up this info.

Is an Al Qaeda operative easily giving up that info? They seem a lot more diciplined then that.

Were they tortured? There are so many questions around these coincidences – it could fill a whole newspaper.

Holy moly there are some real idiots walking this planet.

If anyone has checked out my series on the Oklahoma bombing you would have read how this kid used the same explosives as Al-Qaeda used in the London bombing. This mixture of bleach and acetone can be put into a knapsack and is virtually undetectable.

Now we have this information coming out that Al-Qaeda is planning to bomb the NY subways, wanna take a guess what kind of explosive they would use?

But hey, it’s just a suicidal kid in Oklahoma and a Karl Rove operation in NYC…..sigh
