It’s no wonder we’re so screwed.

Barack Obama has decided that he is the king of the United States and Republicans are in meek compliance. Obama unilaterally took us to war in Libya on a false premise. Libya was never an imminent threat. Obama invoked the War Powers Act in defense of his actions but now that the 60 days has passed Obama simply declared that he will simply not abide by the law.

Liberals:

NY Times editorial: “The killing of Osama bin Laden provoked a host of reactions from Americans: celebration, triumph, relief, closure and renewed grief. One reaction, however, was both cynical and disturbing: crowing by the apologists and practitioners of torture that Bin Laden’s death vindicated their immoral and illegal behavior after the Sept. 11 attacks. ”

Singer Sheryl Crow: “It’s just fascinating that we have a black man, who has Muslim ties with his father, even though he’s a Christian, it’s amazing how far our country has come, that that’s the man who took down Osama bin Laden. It makes you feel very patriotic. I do think that if it were any other president, I might feel different about it. But, he’s one of the most conscious [conscientious?] people I’ve ever met, and I’ve met four presidents now. He walks the walk.”

Rev. Terry Jones has done us all a big favor [Reader Post]

Curt pointed out the “unrepentant” Terry Jones to us here. Jones held a mock trial and burned a Quran on March 20. The reaction in the Muslin world has been as uncivilized, vicious and barbaric as it was predictable.

CBS suggests that Sarah Palin is somehow responsible for the shooting of Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords: “…critics of Sarah Palin have already drawn a link between the shooting and the fact that the former Alaska governor put Giffords on a “target list” of lawmakers Palin wanted to see unseated in the midterm elections.”

Michael Daly of the New York Daily News: “Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ blood is on Sarah Palin’s hands after putting cross hair over district.
