There was a recent clamor about Obama’s birth certificate, which no one had yet seen, the major one being proof of whether Obama is a “natural born citizen,” as required by the Constitution. The Campaign has not produced it and the internet bubbled with intrigue on the subject until Daily Kos posted what appeared to be a copy of the birth certificate issued by the State of Hawaii.

Here it is. A larger version is at the Kos link.

This satisfied most people who even knew about the issue. Read the rest of this entry »

The camapign didn’t want a photo of headscarves in a picture with Obama. Can’t imagine why that would be. Is Obama anti-Muslim? Nah, that can’t be it. His grandfather was Muslim. Perhaps he didn’t want to appear pro-Muslim? Why not, isn’t he the candidate of unity? Hmmm, what a quandary for Barack Hussein Obama.

From Politico.

Two Muslim women at Barack Obama’s rally in Detroit Monday were barred from sitting behind the podium by campaign volunteers seeking to prevent the women’s headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate.

There were two incidents that the Obama staffers handled brilliantly for the would-be president. The first started with a staffer asking some young men if they wanted to be in the seating area behind the stage. Read the rest of this entry »

As the Democrat primary debacle continues to rumble along, the Obamanation, and his people, want to allow all of the FL delegates to be seated, but each one will only get 1/2 of a vote.

Anyone else remember a time in the US when people were counted as 3/5?

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Barry likes winning on technicalities though. He has a past history of using the rules to his advantage.

When BHO ran for the Senate, this is how it happened:

Update

FL and MI delegates will all be seated. Delegates from both states will receive 1/2 vote each.

New Dem slogan: Count every other vote.

Contrasting Hillary & Obama

Posted by: Curt @ 10:57 pm in Barack Obama, The Clintons

Lanny Davis, a longtime Clinton supporter and Democrat, was on the John Gibson show today discussing the Hillary and Obama showdown and it was quite an informative discussion on the differences between the two candidates. Both of them are all wrong for this country but one of them has a few accomplishments to name. Accomplishments which she should be ashamed of but at least it is something for her to hang her hat on unlike Obama who has none, zero, zip.

Welp, there goes my new PC for a while. Thanks Harry! Great job-NOT

“The US Senate this evening rejected a broad economic stimulus bill in a procedural vote, as it failed to muster the 60 members needed to end debate on the bill and allow a final vote later this week.”

“The Senate bill, which costs about 158 bln usd, would offer tax rebates to taxpayers, but also to low-income individuals and families that do not pay taxes, and recipients of Social Security and veterans benefits. The House bill, which costs 146 bln usd, only allows refund checks to wage earners. Senate Republicans this week offered to vote on the House bill with an amendment to allow seniors and veterans to receive a rebate, but no other additions.

The Democrats’ broader stimulus package bill would also extend unemployment insurance, allow companies to backdate operating losses to prior years, fund state and local efforts to refinance mortgages, and offer a range of energy-related tax breaks for companies and individuals. The House bill does not include any of this language.”

Looks like the Democrat led 110th Congress is going to be run as ineptly and in such disarray as the 109th was. In the 109th they added an idiotic sunset provision into the FISA law which gave them six months to hammer out a long term version. What did they do? Nothing. The Democrats stamped their feet and cried and cried about the telecom immunity but never worked to compromise, as usual.

The result?

I am one of the few Americans who seem surprised by today’s news: Dennis Kucinich has dropped out of the Presidential race.

Now, having lived in the Cleveland area almost all my life, and with clear memories of Dennis’ antics as mayor, I have to say that I knew he wasn’t going to be President, and I knew he wasn’t going to get the nomination, but I was still surprised.

Why?
