Liberals: “Will love dictators for cash” [Reader Post]

Funny thing.

If you search for Democrats’ position on Moammar Muammar Qaddafi Khaddafi Gadaffi Gadhafi Kadaffy Gaddafi, after a bit you’ll find that they have none.

Reid, Pelosi, Hoyer, Durbin- nothing. Democrats are all oddly silent, except for the loony Cynthia McKinney who gave a speech in support of Gaddafi back in 2009:

Farrakhan promises Islamic uprising in the US [Reader Post]

The linkages between Barack Obama, Lewis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright and Muammar Gaddafi are plentiful. In 1984 Wright paid a visit to Gaddafi and Gaddafi then provided Wright an interest-fee $5,000,000 loan in 1985. Much later Gaddafi declared that Obama is of Muslim descent and is a “blessing to the Muslim world.”

Impeach Obama [Reader Post]

Violence at the Mexican order has reached unbelievable levels. More than 30,000 Mexicans have been killed in drug violence since 2006. In 2010 there were more people killed in Juarez than in all of Afghanistan. Seven people were killed in a park in January, including two playing soccer. Three adults and a boy were shot to death in late February.

79 Americans were killed in Mexico last year.

Iraq Deja Vu [Reader Post]

On a phone call to German Chancellor Angela Merkel on February 26 Barack Obama said that Moammar Gaddafi had to leave power in Libya.

“The president stated that when a leader’s only means of staying in power is to use mass violence against his own people, he has lost the legitimacy to rule and needs to do what is right for his country by leaving now,” the White House said.

Does this sound familiar?

Unions- that’s where the big money is [Reader Post]

Ken Vogel at Politico, who seldom misses a chance to bash conservatives, does his best to convince us that the effort to eliminate collective bargaining is the result of a long term right wing conspiracy.

The conservative assault on public sector unions that seemed to explode out of nowhere in Wisconsin and spread across the Midwest was in fact months – if not years – in the making, the result of methodical polling, lobbying, messaging, grassroots organizing and policy crafting by a coterie of well-funded conservative groups.

Koch’s whore and Goldman’s slave [Reader Post]

At The Beast “Murphy” posted the transcript of the juvenile punking of Governor Scott Walker and closed with this:

So there you have it, kids. Government isn’t for the people. It’s for the people with money. You want to be heard? Too fucking bad. You want to collectively bargain? You can’t afford a seat at the table. You may have built that table. But it’s not yours.

The face of unions [Reader Post]

The loss of collective bargaining does not bust unions. It does not remove their ability to bargain for wages, contrary to the stupidity we’re all seeing.

At one time unions served some kind of purpose, but they are irrelevant today other than serving as a means of guaranteeing mediocrity. Unions brought the auto industry to its knees and Obama has pinned the bill for their legacy costs on our futures.

The Manchurian President [Reader Post]

Events in the world are spinning Barack Obama around like a top. Barack Obama is ill-suited to be the President of the United States. His worldly sense is really only that of a Chicago mayor, but what Obama really should have been was the Secretary General of the UN. There he could pontificate, bluster, moralize and agonize all without meaning or intent. He could carry on the UN legacy of uselessness and failure and likely scoop up another Nobel Peace Prize for achieving nothing, to bookend his first Nobel Peace Prize for achieving nothing.
