The Coming (And Hilarious) Democrat Implosion

Loading

Kurt Schlichter:

Republicans fear a repeat of 1992, with a squishy Bush at the head of the ticket watching helplessly as some populist businessman/novelty act hands the election to a Clinton. But Democrats should fear the far more likely repeat of 1968.

Ah, the 1968 convention … just thinking of it brings a smile to the face of every normal American. Let’s start with hordes of Chicago cops kicking the psychedelia out of dirty hippies. Footage of all-American flatfoots clocking VC-flag waving pinkos with nightsticks is more erotic than a hundred “Fifty Shades” books. Just thinking about it makes me want to light up a Marlboro and cuddle.

Then there was the fun and games inside the convention hall – nothing like blue stater on blue stater fratricide to quicken the pulse and put a spring in your step. That glorious intramural warfare led to a Republican president. It may well again in 2016.

Back in 1968, the Democrat Party was divided between liberals who loved America and liberals who hated everything about it. The situation is a little different now, with today’s Democrat Party divided between liberals who hate everything about America and liberals who really, really hate everything about it.

The delightful scene at Netroots where Martin O’Malley was forced to do penance before a jeering crowd of washed-out undergrads for the sin of saying “All lives matter” was a harbinger of the future. The Democrats are on the verge of being sucked into their own vortex of progressive insanity that will bar them from any chance to reach out of their psychotic echo chamber to normal Americans. It serves them right.

Hillary doesn’t need this. Her poll numbers are plummeting – gee, who would have thought that a corrupt, condescending, commie shrew might be unpopular? Hillary is America’s First Wife, a sour, sexless, disapproving presence eager to spend the next eight years telling us all how we are failing to measure up to her exacting standards.

She’s also what passes for diversity among the Democratic candidates, and then only because she is one of those woman women, the kind of woman that has woman DNA and not just a whim to be a chick today.

Of course, while she started out thinking the whole XX chromosome thing was going to win it all for her, the freak show that is her base decided to go off-script and force the Democrat candidates to pretend that the activists aren’t all stark raving mad. That’s why Hillary is simultaneously trying to suck-up to the activist community you’d think a Democrat would have nailed down while also keeping the hell away so no one can jump on stage with her and ask her terrifying questions like, “So, do white lives matter?”

That’s why she hides where she knows she will be safe from unwelcome questions and unplanned queries – behind the mainstream media, where she’s among friends and allies. She’ll just try to make sure they photograph her carrying a copy of that new Ta-Nehisi Coates book all liberals have to buy and pretend to read.

There WILL come a time when all the selfish, outraged, diversified interest groups that comprises the Democrat party suddenly ask for their conflicting pay-offs all at once.

I don’t know…Hubert Humphrey NEARLY won that election. Had LBJ halted the bombing of N. Vietnam earlier in the campaign he might have. Don’t underestimate the stupidity of white women to vote for Hillary simply on the basis of gender. There are millions of VERY low information voters out there who want to elect whomever they think is “cool”. Look at Obama…totally unqualified. Likely not even natural born. It didn’t matter…the MSM turned him into a god. And look at what we’ve got. Some federal judge may find a constitutional “right” for illegals to vote. If so, say goodbye to the electoral votes of Florida, Nevada, and Colorado. It could happen.

Stupidity of white women you say. Do you think an ego maniac like Trump can get even 30% of the distaff vote—do you think he can 30% of the Latin vote—10% of the Black vote
Do you think he can win the Repub. nom?
I do see a repeat of 92—-Trump is 69—last chance. He.ll run 3rd Party–lights out for Repubs
He’s the Kardasian/ Apprentice factor. There is no telling who he’ll bash next.
Today’s ? Which bad foot got him his 5th deferment?.
RT might ask if all 3 wives are voting for him? I’d say no.

Upon reading an ignorant, misogynistic statement like that, the average American woman will most likely feel an immediate inclination to vote for Hillary Clinton.

Somebody should compile a List of Obvious Things that republicans just don’t get. They could benefit from a study aid.

@Greg: For MANY American women, that assessment of Hillary is no shock whatsoever. It is, in fact, pretty clear and accurate.

Hillary made a fool of herself when she gave that ”economics” speech the other day.
She denounced the ‘on demand’ or so-called ‘gig economy’ that includes people renting out one room (or backyard) as well as Uber, among others.
Add all such jobs together and they don’t amount to a drop in the bucket of all jobs or even a competitive force against unionized jobs.
So, Uber drivers are ”contractors,” not unionized people.
Big deal.
In NY the union cabbies are trapped by the limited number of medallions available.
Shortage produces demand.
A single NY cab medallion sells for $182,000.
But unionized drivers don’t drive those cabs!
They lease them out by the shift.
A day shift costs the driver $80. A night shift costs $90.
Too often cabbies who lease don’t hit their break-even point until their last hour on the job.
Some slow nights or when the car has issues, they end up owing money they never made!
How is that ”better” than Uber?
It isn’t.
Since NYC cabdrivers have labored for some three decades under the sort of conditions progressives claim to deplore, it is difficult to credit the claim that the effort to suppress Uber is a product of concern for workers’ well-being.
Yet, since the taxi industry (NOT the individual cabbies) sends hundreds of thousands of dollars into Democrat candidates pockets we can expect someone like Hillary to try to create a boogeyman out of Uber instead of trying to really protect cabbies.

Hillary is rich on paper.
She has lots of monied support, but few actual voters supporting her.
She has tried to give speeches for small fees and could not even fill small auditoriums without giving away tickets.
Dems have no enthusiasm for Hillary.

@Bill, #4:

Many might be numerically true but could also lead to an incorrect conclusion. A March 2015 Gallop poll found her to have a net favorable poll number of 24 percent among women. Many women might dislike her, but many more women feel otherwise.

Attacks on her such as Kurt Schlichter’s will likely have the opposite of the intended effect. Clinton could benefit from more people like him ranting as loudly as possible. Women will go to the polls just to knock them off their soap boxes.

Republicans are going to have a real problem when the time comes to narrow things down from sixteen to a single candidate. The GOP may blow up from internal stresses and pressures before election day.

@Greg: Do you realize that poll is from March?
That’s a 4 month old poll!
Hillary is ”popular” among polled people because they recognize her name.
Like Kim K.
To the extent polled people KNOW about Hillary, her stances, her habits, her scandals, they don’t like her at all.
Lucky for Dems there are plenty of low-info people in this country.

@Greg: Hillary is propped up by the media; they COULD be hounding her for answers to questions about her conflicting answers on Benghazi, emails and the Foundation. But, they don’t. They give her a pass. Should they sense that she is imploding and is no longer a shoe-in (even with their assistance) they will turn on her and support a new candidate chosen by them.

That moment of critical mass is, I think, approaching.

When in doubt, check the betting odds.

@Nanny G: Exactly Nan
Trump is the GOP’s Kardasian. Thanks for reminding us.

@rich wheeler:

Trump is the GOP’s Kardasian.

Then the election should really garner high ratings. The GOP’s Kardasian against the DNC’s Caitlyn Jenner.

Trump has tapped into the antipathy towards illegal alien amnesty, but the RINOs have certainly helped him via their political fellatio of Obama. The GOP ran in 2014 on a platform of stopping Obama’s anti-American agenda, but the hapless McConnell and Boehner have continued to run the Senate as if Reid was still in charge. Why on earth should conservatives support another wave of RINO capitulation to the left?

Hillary is a laughingstock to any thinking person. If she wasn’t a dem, she’d be so busy fighting media attacks into her corruption she’d have already dropped out of the race. Can you imagine the NYT ever altering a headline in favor of a republican running under the weight of pending criminal investigation Clinton is facing? Hell, look at the bogus financial stories the NYT ran against Rubio a few weeks ago.

Hillary accomplished nothing as a reverse carpet bagging senator, and is barely remembered by the left as having voted in favor of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. She lost the dem nomination to an even less qualified buffoon, who then made her Secretary of State, where her failure has only been surpassed by the nasal-toned idiot Kerry. Honestly, what positive accomplishment does she have as Sec State to recommend her for the presidency? Not yet being charged for keeping classified information on her illegal personal server? (Compared to the sailor who just got 30 years for having classified information on his personal computer.) Did our international stature improve under her tenure? How are things with Russia after her photo op “reset button” shennanigans? How did Middle Eastern relations fare under Clinton? Is our stature with China better for Clinton’s time as Sec State? Can anyone name anything she accomplished beyond flying around as a figure head? Oh, she did manage to give islamic terrorists a totally deceitful excuse for murdering our Libyan Ambassador – after refusing multiple requests for increased security. Anyone voting for Hillary because of the ridiculous idea that “it is time for a woman” would be incensed were someone to suggest voting for someone simply because they were born with a penis. Yet these same feminazis pushing Hillary’s “right” to the Oval Office look snidely down their noses at the far more accomplished Carly Fiorina.

It would seem the RINOs are obsessed with picking another milquetoast candidate (Bush) to lose to whatever socialist hack the dems put up, so we can have another round of “vote for moderate republicans in 2018 to pretend to fight the leftist destruction of America”.

@VoteOutIncumbents: While Greg is not a woman, he is supporting a criminal for president just because she is a democrat.

@rich wheeler: Why, because he is continually covered by the media? The Kardashians are popular because… they are popular. Trump is popular because of the constant coverage he gets in an effort to capture that silver bullet that’s going to wreck him. The Kardashians are wealthy because they are popular. Trump is wealthy because he has created it through enterprise. Those two examples could not be further removed from each other.

Hillary is more Kardashians-like. She is only identifiable by the name she assumed from someone else. She is bereft of positive accomplishments on her own. No matter what sort of unsavory details emerge about her, her followers still follow.

@Bill:
Thanks, Bill.
I was off doing other stuff.
You are exactly right.
Trump earned his name recognition.
Hillary’s is more like Kim K.’s.
When people learn more about Trump (as I have lately) he grows in their estimation of his and thus their support.
When people learn more about Hillary she loses support.

@Nanny G: Hillary’s support was astronomical before her Hard Choices book tour (what an ironic title). As she met people and spoke, her support crumbled, so she did the best thing for her; she shut up and hid. Now, she ropes off the media (and they happily oblige) and shuns any but the most friendly and favorable interviews… and she STILL shoots herself in the foot with easily proven lies.

While I have not thrown my support behind Trump as yet, he definitely says the things (other than denigrating McCain’s war record) that I and the rest of the citizens that have true concerns about the health of their nation want to hear. However, to write him off as a “clown”? Particularly from people that thought a community organizer provided enough experience to lead the most powerful nation on earth? These are opinions that are not even worthy of consideration. Clownish, in fact.

@Bill: Bill and Nan—Are you afraid to go all in on Trump? Who here at FA IS READY TO STEP UP for this guy
I got my Webb 2016 bumper sticker lol–Leadership you can trust.

@rich wheeler:

Why are you so fixated on getting those here at FA to endorse Trump? The election, and its many cycles, is well over a year away, a life time in political terms.

Since you seem to think Trump is just clown material, I would think you would be shouting “Go Donald, go Donald, go Donald” hoping he will be the nominee. Instead, you bash him, deride him and mock him. I guess you think your reverse logic will work on rational thinking people, but it won’t.

Glad you got your bumper sticker. It would be fun to know how many people see it and say to themselves “Jim Who? Who’s Jim Webb?”

@retire05: Of course nobody knows Webb—yet.
The Donald–I do want him to win the nom, but I don’t think there’s a chance in hell—just as good would be a 3rd party run.
Gonna be boring for awhile as he lays low honing his skills for the debate. That’s gonna be fun.
Seems FA’ers like Trump but somehow fear he’s gonna burn The Party. He certainly is not a Conservative—ya think?

@rich wheeler:

Of course nobody knows Webb—yet.

And just as few will know him in November, 2016. He doesn’t stand a chance in hell, but hey, go ahead and give him your money.

And what I think about Trump is moot. He is not my choice and I don’t think he will garner the nomination. But you seem to have a lot in common with the left wing press; he lives in your head.

What scares the hell out of you left wingers about Trump is he can’t be controlled by big donors and K Street. He spends his own money campaigning and that frees him from being beholding to the big money boys.

The nation has the possibility of turning around all the left wing crap you Democrats have forced on us. More and more states are turning red. And as more states turn red, the DNC faces a real problem; trying to show how their now accepted Socialist policies work. Just take a look at New York. Comrade de Blasio is a true Socialist and now it is legal to p!ss on NY streets because he refuses to enforce the laws. The residents of the city are getting fed up with not only the smell but the multitude of homeless.

I assume you are a Jim Webb supporter simply due to his military cred. Or do you think he most closely resembles JFK? I hate to tell you, JFK is dead and so are his policies. The Pelosi/Reid faction of the DNC killed those policies. The DNC has purged itself of all “blue dog” Democrats. There was a reason for that.

Now your own state is a failure. Leave it to Democrats to ruin a good thing.

@retire05: You are living in a dream 05. The Dems. don’t fear The Donald but the Repub establishment does
Fa’ers like Trump but I haven’t seen anyone with the guts to stand up and say—He’s my guy. You want him to carry the right wing’s water, then just go away and leave a real Conservative in place.
That’s a dangerous game because he may take his ball and not go home. Who’will be his Veep on a 3rd party run—Sarah?

@rich wheeler: When there are 16 candidates competing for the nomination, why would anyone make their commitment before the first damned debate? You must have us confused with celebrity-addicted liberals.

As to YOUR side, of course make an early selection of Webb; what else is there over there?

@rich wheeler:

You are living in a dream 05. The Dems. don’t fear The Donald but the Repub establishment does

All the better that the RINOs fear the Donald. Let him point out how they have sold core Christian Constitutionalist conservatives down the river. I will not be colored sad if McConnell and Boehner become a historical footnote.

Fa’ers like Trump but I haven’t seen anyone with the guts to stand up and say—He’s my guy.

Why would they this far out from the election? Just because you left wingers have such a small selection to choose from that the Democrat race becomes a no-brainer, doesn’t mean that conservatives lack guts because they refuse to pick a candidate now. It only means that you slam conservatives for being thoughtful in who they choose. We all know that with Democrats, the more Marxist the better. That is why Bernie Sanders is giving Shillary a headache and Webb doesn’t stand the chance of a snowball in Hell.

I don’t know if anyone here who claims to support Jim Webb is a Virginian. I am a Virginian and I don’t want Jim Webb. But it really doesn’t matter the HRC camp will take out ANY opposition regardless of party. Fact: It was the HRC camp that started the whole birther movement on Obama, not the Repubs. So believe me if Jim Webb got even the slightest hint of traction in the Democrat race HRC and company would take him out. They are a scorched earth group

@MullyAs you know,:Webb took out Conservative golden boy George Allen Jr. in 2008. Came from 30 points down..

05 and Bill Understand the argument that it’s early. However, when I look at the Repub. polls the undecided run within 2 points of 15%. A very large majority of Repub . voters HAVE picked a favorite candidate—subject to change.

@Rich Wheeler: LOL, if you really recall that election, then you know that Allen ‘lost’ the election, ‘anybody else’ won it.

love this statement:

The situation is a little different now, with today’s Democrat Party divided between liberals who hate everything about America and liberals who really, really hate everything about it.

and this one:

Hillary doesn’t need this. Her poll numbers are plummeting – gee, who would have thought that a corrupt, condescending, commie shrew might be unpopular? Hillary is America’s First Wife, a sour, sexless, disapproving presence eager to spend the next eight years telling us all how we are failing to measure up to her exacting standards. Of course, while she started out thinking the whole XX chromosome thing was going to win it all for her, the freak show that is her base decided to go off-script and force the Democrat candidates to pretend that the activists aren’t all stark raving mad. That’s why she hides where she knows she will be safe from unwelcome questions and unplanned queries – behind the mainstream media, where she’s among friends and allies.

Yep, she’s a real prize.

@Redteam: You must have me confused with someone who supports HRC.

@retire05:

Glad you got your bumper sticker. It would be fun to know how many people see it and say to themselves “Jim Who? Who’s Jim Webb?”

Jim Who? I’ve heard that name before. He’s the guy that had a bunch of wives, if he could get all of them to promise to vote for him, he’d be a shoo in. But no………

@retire05: 21

Comrade de Blasio is a true Socialist and now it is legal to p!ss on NY streets because he refuses to enforce the laws.

Retire, I’m not sure if you should be telling Rich about things like that, it might cause him to move back home to ‘The City’ and leave all his homo buddies out in Gayfornia behind. They would miss him. I’m sure you don’t want to be the ‘reason’ for that.

@rich wheeler:

with the guts to stand up and say—He’s my guy.

That’s no problem at all “if he wins the nomination, he’s my guy” Any repub that wins the nom is my guy, except: Rubio, Cruz, JIndal, Christie, Paul, Bush, Graham, McCain(or other liberal Rino’s)

@Redteam: I’ll bet ya Webb gets the votes of all 3 wives while Trump does no better than 1 out of three. lol
Trump has cozied up to a lot more liberals—money to Ted Kennedy, Harry Reid, John Kerry, HRC, Charlie Rangel–than Webb could imagine. Fact is The Real Donald is a lot more liberal than Webb. No worries he won’t get the nom but he’ll sure as hell elect a Dem when he runs 3rd Party.
Talking about “homos”–It must be lonely for you in La.

@Mully:

So believe me if Jim Webb got even the slightest hint of traction in the Democrat race HRC and company would take him out.

I think you mean they ‘would TRY to take him out”. After all they didn’t get the current disgrace out, and he can barely read a teleprompter.

@Rich Wheeler:

You must have me confused with someone who supports HRC.

If she’s the nom, she’s got your vote. Socialism’s your gig.

@Rich Wheeler:

Trump has cozied up to a lot more liberals

How about giving us a list of who HIll has cozied up to. Many of them aren’t even in this country. She even stood by during ben ghazi due to a pay off.

@Rich Wheeler:

I’ll bet ya Webb gets the votes of all 3 wives

3 ? hmmmm. Ok, you’ve got a bet.

Kinda bad when a native son of Kenya has to try to push homosexuality on his fellow countrymen and gets slapped down.

@Redteam: No, kinda real good.

@Rich Wheeler:

I’ll bet ya Webb gets the votes of all 3 wives while Trump does no better than 1 out of three. lol

Well, The Donald got Ivana’s vote. That’s 2 out of 3. Doubt Webb will do that good.

@Bill:

No, kinda real good.

well, yeah. I guess I was thinking from Obozo’s perspective. Heaven forbid.

@retire05: Ivana caught him cheating with Marla Mapes (wife 2) He constantly cheated on Mapes and dumped her unceremoniously. Doubt if either would vote for their cheating spouse
Webb gets along well with both exes the 2nd having worked on his Va campaign.
I’d pay to see war hero Webb go against 5 deferment—“can’t remember which foot it was”—Trump in a debate. VERY unlikely to happen.

@Rich Wheeler: Ivana said today she would vote for the Donald, said he would make a great Prez.

@Rich Wheeler:

VERY unlikely to happen.

Correct Jim Who won’t make it, can’t get all his other wives to support him.

This whole Ivana story lasted a total of 5 hours, from breaking news that hurt Trump to the fact that Ivana supports Trump!
This means there can never be an effective “October Surprise” again.
IF the Left wants to try to destroy the Republican candidate just before the election they will have to break their story on the night before the election.

@Rich Wheeler:

Here, Rich, since you seem to live in a bubble:

“Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of. I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign,” she said.

“Incidentally, I think he would make an incredible President,” Ivana Trump, who divorced her husband in 1992, added.

@Redteam:and 05 He bought her off–How bout Marla.?
Both of Webb’s exes– mothers of his kids–say they’ll support him
Webb 3 of 3
Trump 2 of 3
Do you HONESTLY think The Donald can win the Repub. nom? It would be great for the Dems but it won’t happen

Nan If you can get Marla to say he’d make a great Prez you’ll have a real scoop
Same question to you. Can Trump win nom?

@Rich Wheeler: Nan If you can get Marla to say he’d make a great Prez you’ll have a real scoop
Same question to you. Can Trump win nom?

Common tactic: slide the goalposts when you’re losing.
Shame on you.

IF two are allowed to play at that game……
The scoop I want to see is our so-called investigative reporters looking into just how Planned Parenthood guarantees so many 17-week fetuses.
The wine-swiller insisted she could get all of the 17 week’ers her pretend customers needed.
What does PP do?
Let pregnant women (who could get by with an early D&C) cool their heels waiting for an appointment until they’ve reached 17 or more weeks?

@Rich Wheeler:

Both of Webb’s exes– mothers of his kids–say they’ll support him

Both? is that a joke?
Trump sure has you in a panic. Well, I’m declaring for Jim Who. I want him to be the Dim candidate. Then me and all his former wives will join together in not voting for him.
“JIM WHO FOR PRES”

@Nanny G:

The scoop I want to see is our so-called investigative reporters looking into just how Planned Parenthood guarantees so many 17-week fetuses.

That’s one of Rich’s favorite charities. their mission is to raise money for their employees to drive Lamborghinis. Even if they have to sell murdered baby parts to do it. Love those Libs…..

@Nanny G: losing?
For those who can count–not you RT
Webb 3 FOR 3
Ttump 2 FOR 3 Unless and until Marla Mapes Trump comes out of witness protection.

RT My panic may set in if Trump doesn’t run third party after slinking away from Repub. primary defeat.
