As Twitchy reported earlier, despite the fast-approaching fiscal cliff, President Obama can’t be troubled to meet with Congressional leaders. Well, it looks like the country will have to wait a little longer for even a halfhearted show of leadership. While the president isthreatening Americans that Republicans will steal their $2000, he’s preparing to embark on a three-week, $4 million Hawaiian vacation. Funded by taxpayers, of course.
The Hawaii Reporter estimates that the total cost of the vacation to Hawaii and federal taxpayers, including funding for travel, staff and protection, is at least $4 million. Obama’s vacations are more expensive than those of previous presidents because of the huge costs to fly Air Force One and an accompanying cargo plane for nine hours or so to Hawaii.
The trip is set for December 17 to January 6. We’re set to reach the edge of the fiscal cliff on January 2. As Obama and the Democrats’ irresponsible policies send us hurtling toward economic disaster, the president and his family will be enjoying their pu pu platters. Maybe they’ll even do a little cliff diving of their own!

Obama, and his train wreck of a wife, are not concerned about spending our money. Hell, he is more concerned how he can get more of our money (you know, those of us who actually do pay income taxes) to give to his voters. Nevermind the Fiscal Cliff is set to happen on 1-2-2013, Obama won’t be back on the mainland until four days later. Surely the cliff will wait as the engine stalls, right?
Nevermind that anyone with a brain knows the cliff is not on the top of his list as he seems to remain in campaign mode trying to sell his Socialist views all over the nation.

He doesn’t have to, . . . he has delivered his teleprompter talking points, jumped ahead of the Republicans on the message, and he can now leave, comfortable in the knowledge that he’s put Reps on the defensive, and the MSM will keep a boot on their necks.
Boehner’s address this morning – it was quite evident that he needs some PR advice, and the Republicans really need to improve the message delivery process. I’m sure he’s a capable man, but brilliant PR takes more practice than he’s obviously dedicated to it.
Reps are letting a statist walk all over them and are missing opportunities to really drive home powerful messages which could put the overwhelming load of this mess on the Administration and the Senate. TAXES ARE GOING TO SLAM THE MIDDLE CLASS. Obama knows this. His Administration’s vision for the Nation is well on the way to coming into focussed reality.

Great question. Of course, that might require knowledge, education, awareness, thoughtfulness, consideration, gratitude, recognition, and an acknowledgement of indebtedness to many who put their lives out front, their Nation at their backs, protecting its freedom from tyrants who would bring it harm.
Remember how the left used to whine and complain about Bush spending time at his Prairie Chappel ranch in Crawford. Of course, Bush paid for that ranch, and once all the communications equipment was installed, it didn’t have to be done again for 8 years.
Now the Chicago trash can spend $4 million going to a place they don’t own, didn’t pay for, and everytime they go somewhere different, all the communications and security facitilities have to be done from scratch. And the left is silent. And of course, the lap dog media is no longer interested in how many days of vacation a president takes.
Funny how the standards of the left changes when it is one of their own in the White House, isn’t it?
