Kelsey Osterman @ Red Alert Politics:

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) took the Obama administration to task over Operation Fast and Furious Sunday morning, calling out Attorney General Eric Holder for his hypocritical remarks on gun control on Friday.

In response to Holder’s statement following the Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown, Conn., Gohmert said Holder was one to talk about gun control, following his department’s ‘Fast and Furious’ gun scandal.

“We need to discuss who we are as a nation, talk about the freedoms that we have, the rights that we have, and how those might be used in a responsible way,” Holder said Friday.

After being asked about Holder’s statements by Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, Gohmert laid into the Attorney General for his comments.

“Well I think coming from him, that’s really important to note, coming from a man who’s over a department that forced the sale of guns to people that would bring about the death of people like Brian Terry, and there should be national outrage about Mexicans — our neighbors — 200 or more that have been killed by the guns that his department have forcibly — forced to be sold,” Gohmert said.

like the slut hillary, he will skate…nothing will be done and he will retire with a “fat” political welfare retirement-only difference between his paycheck and welfare’s is the color. Impeachment is long over do. And now a new male prostitute in the sec. of slut position. A common expression for john kerry is kagema. kerry’s idol, bill clinton, has outdone him on the prostitute posture. john kerry will be the “kagema of state.” As you should recall, his current wife’s husband died in an airplane crash. On April 4, 1991, Heinz and six other people were killed when a Bell 412 helicopter and a Piper Aerostar with Heinz aboard collided in mid-air above Merion Elementary School in Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania. All aboard both aircraft, as well as two children at the school, were killed Ever wonder who arranged for his death? How quickly you all forget history…

@mos8541 When you stoop to such vulgarity, igornance, hatedred, and unsubstanciated gossip, you lost any meaning to your comment. You have reduced yourself to a troll. And when Flopping Aces allows such comments, it loses its social value. Forget the nonsense about freedom of speech. When speech is inflammatory and falsely discredits another, it’s always had consequences in the courts. So it is fair to censor such nonsense if this forum is to remain beneficial and relevant.

@JAG:

You seem to not understand the First Amendment. While you may dislike what others say, you, in no way, have a right to limit their free speech. If we conservatives stooped to such low tactics as to silence those we disagree with, there are a whole lot of Democrats who would have their mouths sewn shut.

As to legal recourse, there is none. Slander must also involve personal finances. Eric Holder, Madame Clinton and John Kerry, have never seen a reduction in their ability to draw a pay check no matter what has been said about them, in spite of them all being scum bags..

You missed the target by miles. First, a digression: Slander can be against not only a loss of income but also loss of reputation, maliciously affecting one’s life, or, in some jurisdictions, it may be enough to establish mental anguish. There’s more on legal sites but this makes the point that loss of income is only one possible damage in a slander case. National Enquirer has loss such cases against celebrities and it is a safe assumption the celebrities did not lose money because of the slander. Second: The first amendment inhibits Congress from placing restrictions on speech and expression, but it gets more complex if one is slandering another or inciting illegal activities because they are not considered to be under the first amendment per se and have legal consequences. But, to the degree that it is happening, MOS8741 can probably get away with it.

But here is the nitty gritty of my comments: MOS8741 is making outlandish comments that he cannot support and is spewing vulgar name calling with hate. Anyone who resorts to that childlike behavior immediately loses in any public forum that counts. If you want the conservative movement to get its point across, practice civility and do your research and you might persuade someone to your side of thinking, or change your mind even. Otherwise, you loss upfront.

Additionally, I would think floppingaces.net would want to establish its forum where deliberate and serious interchanges of opinions happen. But vulgarity and conspiracy theories reduce it to irrelevance. But you are right. It’s your choice.
