Ohio woman: Yeah, I voted for Obama twice… what’s the big deal?

Loading

Doug Powers @ Michelle Malkin:

Nineteen cases of possible voter fraud are being investigated in Hamilton County, Ohio. One of the people being investigated is proud to admit she voted for President Obama –twice. She also helped others vote for Obama — twice. The woman insinuates that it was all just a mistake because she was unsure of the process.

Bonus points: She’s a poll worker:

According to county documents, Richardson’s absentee ballot was accepted on Nov. 1, 2012 along with her signature. On Nov. 11, she told an official she also voted at a precinct because she was afraid her absentee ballot would not be counted in time.

“There’s absolutely no intent on my part to commit voter fraud,” said Richardson.

According to BOE records, her name appeared on an absentee ballot list prior to Election Day. The board’s report states poll workers should have updated the signature poll book by flagging “absentee voter” next to the names of those who appeared on the list. Upon investigation it was found that none of the voters who appeared on the list were flagged, which included Richardson. The staff could not locate that supplemental list when asked.

Richardson voted at the Madisonville Recreation Center where she worked as a paid worker on Election Day.

But, but, there is no such thing as voter fraud!

What matters is not whether such a thing exists. What matters is whether it can be demonstrated to exist to such a degree that there’s some possibility it could actually be altering the outcome of elections. The number of cases that do exist has never been shown to have statistical significance.

The problem with many of the “cures” republican legislatures were rushing to put into place for this “enormous problem” was that they very likely would have affected the outcome of elections, by making it very difficult for millions of people to vote who should actually be entitled to do so. There was no missing the fact that the “cures” were a coordinated, multi-state strategy, calculated to reduce the count of democratic votes.

Reducing the days and hours that polls were open in spite of unacceptable waiting times during recent elections was another completely obvious strategy, calculated to have the same effect. The 2-4 hour lines in Florida were an entirely predictable result.

My take on all of this is that there was, in fact, an effort to steal the 2012 election. It failed. The GOP should try something else. Taking positions that actually reflect mainstream American opinion on a few more issues might be worth a try.

BTW, voting fraud is against the law. Those found guilty of it should be prosecuted.

Greg suggests Repubs. might fare better by” taking positions that actually reflect mainstream American opinion on a few more issues.” Novel concept Greg.

@Greg: What a load of crap. Photo ID and proof of citizenship and residency should be needed to vote. I find it totally disingenuous that liberals want to require citizens to show photo ID, prove citizenship and residency and have full background checks to exercise their Second Amendment RIGHT, but are willing to allow people who don’t even speak English to vote using a copy of a phonied up utility bill. If a photo ID and background check is such an imposition on citizens to vote, WHAT IS IT TO THE SECOND AMENDMENT WHICH SAYS, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED?

There were THOUSANDS of reports of election/voter fraud, VOTING MACHINES THAT CHANGED THE INPUT AND VOTE! Where are the investigations? I’ve NEVER had an ATM machine change something I have input, but when these voting machines are reported REPEATEDLY to be changing votes nothing is done or NO INVESTIGATION! I am sick and tired of my vote being disenfranchised by election/voter fraud, it should be prosecuted with severe consequences NO EXCEPTIONS.

Liberals have battled voter ID in Wisconsin with a passion because it’s going to “disenfranchise” voters…What that really means is people who can’t prove they are citizens of the state won’t be able to vote for Democrats….They will cite all kinds of studies and reports but it would be refreshing if they were at least honest and admitted the real reason they fight so hard against it.
If voter ID ever becomes law in Wisconsin they will lose a voting block they count on every 2 years.

@Chilly #4 – Excellent Points Chilly!! It’s amazing isn’t it ?? – The blatant hypocrisy….

..Greg is like most Libs/Progs….It’s ok to attempt to take away the Constitutional RIGHTS of Legal, LAW ABIDING “US Citizens” – in this instance, our 2nd Amendment Rights…AND on top of that, they want to dig and dig deep into our backgrounds via BACKGROUND CHECKS all the while legal citizens, and Our Law enforcement — cannot ASK for PROOF of CITIZENSHIP FROM ILLEGALS here in this country…(ie: Arizona for one) no hypocrisy here….[sarc] The Left then curse and stamp their feet when a “Fair” suggestion of ID to Vote in a US Election…. What a bunch of Asshats…

Right Greg…?

They then keep trying to “CREATE” NEW (Unconstitutional) RIGHTS for ILLEGAL NON-CITIZENS ….in order to CONFISCATE [ILLEGAL/FRADULENT ] VOTES…. !?!?

THEN Like the Idiot above and the Frauds on the Left…- Their answer is Duh – huh??! – How Ignorant.. What Hypocrites!!!

Remember this is a member (drooling members) of Obama’s BASE….the Progressive / Liberals /Socialists – the BASE of a Government who wants to dictate to you, me and everyone else how we should live…A Government who knows better than You and Me what is good for us…..

ALL THIS ….yet they can’t even manage to Vote Correctly, Nor “Manage” to follow the Rules [not surprising] of their own state’s voting Regulations…??? .OMG!!! This is the reason we are in trouble….this is truly the dumbing down of America….and everyone else suffers from their stupidity, not to mention their lies, propaganda, and brainwashing…Pathetic!!

Pathetic or what….???

@Greg: I’ll make this as simple as I can Greg. Requiring photo ID to vote accomplishes one thing in my mind, it minimizes the opportunity for voter fraud, thus giving me confidence that the election results will be legitimate. With all the other activities that require photo ID, with much less importance than voting, I have a difficult time believing that the people opposed to voter ID are complaining for reasons other than stuffing the ballot box.
We have voter ID here in Oklahoma; in fact, tonight we went to a local restaraunt for dinner, a place we are regulars at, and still had to show photo ID to get a beer. I am in my mid-fifties and clearly I don’t look under 21 (full gray beard is a give-away).
So try again to convince me that the intentions of the liberals are actually due to a concern for others… good luck with that.

Scott You’re over 5o with a grey beard and get carded for a beer. Make sure you check your bill.

@Richard Wheeler: heh heh… yeah. I did not get the senior discount…

@Chilly: #4
If you get things the way you want, then obama wouldn’t be allowed to vote. I’m guessing that he can’t even show a driver’s license. We can’t have laws that make it illegal for our president to vote, can we?

How about purple thumbs? Purple thumbs would discourage fraud.
How about doing away with voting machines and using paper ballots? Voting machines are too easy to rig. Just fingerprint each ballot. That, along with a nationwide data base of prints, would do wonders for clearing up the morass.
How about abolishing early voting and have everybody vote the same day? Early voting is a massive promotion of electoral fraud.
If it is that important for everyone to vote, why even hold the election? Just mandate that everybody voted for the correct person. See? Problem solved.
The whole argument is so bogus. Democrats are NOT going to give up their power. Ever. The News Media is not going to give up its power. Ever. It is going to take a major calamity to change things.

@mathman: #11
For years I have said there should be permanent ballots. You can always recount them if necessary. The problem with putting a fingerprint on each one is that the ballot could be traced to the voter, and you don’t want your vote traced to you. If the ballots can be traced to the voter, the ones paying people to vote for a certain party can be traced and make sure they vote the way they are paid to. Without being able to be traced, anyone being paid to vote for a certain party can vote for someone else and say they voted for who they were paid to. The idea of a SECRET ballot is so nobody can find out how you voted.

I’m all in favor of fingerprinting at the polls, or whatever kind of identification is used in the future. The voting district would send the eligible voter list to the state police, and they would send it to the FBI, and they would send the fingerprints of those on the list to the state police, who would distribute them to the proper voting districts. The FBI and each state would get a list of the ones who voted, so they can check that that person voted only once.

One radio talk show host came up with what I think is a great idea. Have the voting open for 24 hrs. on the day of voting. That way everybody could stop and vote after getting off work. Who knows how many people don’t vote because they work at night and would have a problem going to vote.

Let’s record the voting with video cameras in a way that the voters are not recorded, but the area around the machines or ballot boxes is, so the instances like they had in some voting districts where the poll watchers were forcibly removed for a while, won’t happen again without being recorded. There would be lines on the floor marking where the cameras aren’t recording.

@Smorgasbord: If we’re going to have the polls open 24 hours, we need to think about a ban on all media coverage of the election results until all of the polls are closed.

@Jim S: I think there should be a media black out on voting results until the polls close in any case. I have always wondered how many people on the west coast don’t vote after seeing the east and midwest results.

I THINK THE WAY IT’S SO WELL FIX, LIKE OBAMA WITH MULTIPLE LAPTOPS WORKERS ON IT TO
SCAN EVERYTHING EVERY WORKERS, AND DOWN BELOW HE HAD GOOGLE’S EXPERT SCIENTIST SCAMING THE EVERY LOOPHOLE TO WIN THAT ELECTION SO SECRETLY THAT NOBODY KNEW THEY WHERE THERE AND WHY.
I REPEAT; I think the ELECTION SHOULD BE DONE TWICE BY ANOTHER COMPLETE CREW ON BOTH SIDE, AND SEE THE RESULTS MATCHING IT TO EACH OTHER, ELIMINATING THE FRAUDERS, AND GIVE THEM PRISON TERM AND COLLECTING A FEE FOR HAVING COMMITED FRAUD,
WOULD OBAMA BE WILLING TO RECALL THE ELECTION, BECAUSE HE ONLY WON ON A MINIMAL,
HOW ABOUT IT TO SAVE HIS NAME AND PROVE HIS INTEGRITY,
THAT WOULD PROVE HIS HONESTY ,

@Jim S: #13
How about banning ALL campaigning three days before the election, and on election day? Also ban ALL media from reporting on any candidate during that time. Let us have some peace and quiet from campaigning so we can make up our own minds. The only campaign ads allowed would be if one candidate disclosed some NEW information about their opponent the night before the ban. The opponent would be allowed to respond ONLY to the NEW information.

I remember when Ronald Reagan was governor of California, he wanted the predicting stopped, because it might keep some people on the west coast from voting, figuring their candidate lost. That is the main reason the propaganda media wants to predict their candidate will win with only 10% of the vote in. No coverage of the actual voting means no predicting.

@Scott in Oklahoma:

I think there should be a media black out on voting results until the polls close in any case.

How would you square that with the First Amendment?

Smorgasbord
hi,
and it’s still unclear that whole countys voted for OBAMA,
IT’S IMPOSSIBLE, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN ONE VOICE,
UNLESS THEY ARE ILLEGALLY VOTING,

@Tom: The same way they square a lot of stuff that goes on in government. But let’s not jump to conclusions (worked really well for Rove, didn’t it?), wait for the results to be counted. I don’t see where there is 1st Amendment violation for keeping results secret until the count is done.

@ilovebeeswarzone: #18
Especially the voting district that gave obama 108% of the qualified voters. The liberals won’t even admit that something is fishy when more people vote for ONE candidate than are registered to vote.

@Scott in Oklahoma:

No one is forced to jump to conclusions. No one is told not to vote, or that their vote doesn’t count. I understand there is frustration with the results of the 2012 election, but I”m trying to understand how “keeping the results secret” will satisfy the anti-government and conspiracy-minded wing of the American electorate in future elections that everything has been handled correctly. Let’s image the reaction from Flopping Aces to, say, an Obama victory under a government information blackout. Furthermore, the media calls elections based on more than just official results. They factor in exit polls and use statistical analysis. Asking the media to not interview voters or report on an election are clear violations of the First Amendment. As consumers of media, it’s our job to demand that they do so responsibly. This is why Nate Silver’ career is ascendant and Dick Morris’ contract with Fox was not renewed. Regardless, no one was forced to listen to either of them, and anyone who stayed home because of their prognostications and later regrets it has only themselves to blame. It’s not the government’s job to influence whether a person does or doesn’t vote through the dissemination or suppression of information.

Smorgasbord
yes if that is not fraud enough, what is? the need to have the whole election recount
by a different crew ,those who recount the ballots also,
being replace by other,

@Tom: Tom, I understand you’re looking through the liberal 2012 lens at this, but the opinion I have has nothing to do with the last election. I have held that same opinion for 30+ years; the press has become far too influential for my comfort. I have wondered about skewed elections due to media manipulation for a very long time. The election of 2012 is just another example, a more corrupt than previously known example.

In case I’m not clear here… a voter on the west coast sees news reports of “exit polls and statistical analysis”, and decides the outcome is cast, so why go stand in line for two hours to vote, and miss Dancing with the Stars… when the outcome really isn’t cast, but the media reports it so, and that’s how it goes. The media again dictates the direction we go, and their ego swells… and you buy it.

Scott in Oklahoma
you have a very good argument there,
and just mentioning to add up to it
you hear ONE CNN BOSS IN A FRENZY SAYING HE HAS A TINGLE IN HIS LEG,
THAT IS LIKE THE OBAMA CROWD ASSEMBLED IN A CABALE FRENZIE WAITING FOR THE RESULTS,
AND THOSE RUNNING THE CROWD LETTING KNOW THAT IF OBAMA DOESN’T WIN THERE WILL BE
A GREAT REVOLT BY THE BLACKS MOVEMENTS.
THAT’S HOW HE WON HIS ELECTION, IN 2008 BY INTIMIDATION AND PROMISES TO THOSE BELIEVING HIS WORDS,

Scott If Dems had listened to Fox’s Dick Morris’ incessant predictions of a Romney landslide and Repub. control of Senate they’d have been too disheartened to vote. Rove and Hannity almost as bad.
Morris lost his job. Good riddance. Sarah–don’t let the door smack you on the way out.

@Richard Wheeler: Ya pretty much made my point.

Scott Glad to help lol However, I’ve always thought the blame it on the lamestream media (credits to Sarah) meme absolutely overdone.
People vote pocketbook and ability to relate to the candidate. I like Romney though I didn’t vote for him. He lost because he wasn’t able to relate sufficiently to broad middle class America. His 47% comment cemented his loss. The beating his fellow Repubs. unleashed on him in the Primaries didn’t help.

Richard Wheeler
MITT ROMNEY WAS RIGHT ON THE 47% don’t blame those who where warning AMERICA OF WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW,
THEY HAD FIGURED IT UP WAY BEFORE.
but they overlook the 47 starting to get paid FOR OBAMA’S ELECTION, while they got their checks,
THEY OVERLOOK THE UNIONS WORKING AND GETTING THEIR MEMBERS ALL OVER THE USA
FOR OBAMA’S ELECTION, THEY PAID OBAMA MILLIONS TO WIN AND WOULD NOT LOSE THEIR MONEY
AT ANY PRICES, THEY ALSO OVERLOOK THE FRAUD ON THE MACHINES SWICHING THE ROMNEY VOTES
TO OBAMA’S VOTES WHICH WAS NOTED AND BURIED BY THEIR MEDIAS, THEY OVER LOOK THE DEAD DEMS RISING FROM THEIR GRAVES TO VOTE,
WHAT WENT ON THAN, WAS INEVITABLE , BECAUSE OBAMA MACHINE WAS READY TO STEP ON ANYONE TO WIN THE RACE NO MATTER WHAT THE COST, AND COST IT WAS,
MORE THAN MITT ROMNEY COULD EQUAL,
AND YET, OBAMA WON ONLY THOSE WHO WORKED FOR HIM,
NO ONE ELSE
BUT WHERE ARE THE JOBS FOR THE 23MILLIONS?
MITT ROMNEY THEY ARE MISSING YOU NOW,

Asking the media to not interview voters or report on an election are clear violations of the First Amendment.

Well, lookie here, boys and girls; Tommy Boy has finally found an Amendment that he is willing to defend on behalf of the American press, not the citizens. Odd that he would have such love for the First Amendment when he seems to have no problem with restrictions placed on American citizen’s Second and Fourth Amendments.

Of course, Tommy Boy is not totally brain dead. He understands the influence the press holds on the American public, and if the press can report that the Democrat is winning on the Beast Coast, those on the Left Coast will want to also vote for the winner. No one, at least the uninformed voter, wants to admit they voted for the loser.

I like Romney though I didn’t vote for him.

Which says that Richard either ignored his duty to vote in a national election, or he voted for the Criminal from Chicago, Barack Hussein Obama, Jr. Nevermind that Mitt Romney was correct in that 47% of American tax filers have no tax liability, leaving the burden to be placed on us 53 percenters. But then, Rich, being the beneficiary of government (taxpayer) largess, would most certainly vote for the guy who is going to continue that pathway to hell.

retire05
and I recall the welfare recipients had a raise at that time
and got a free phone, wow they where happy,
and some of them where moved to a mansion house,
a neighbor said geez they live like millionaires when I work my head up to meet my buget.

Retire05 Believe Romney backed off his 47% comment realizing the picture it was cementing in the minds of the electorate.Too late. Damage done–Losses in must win Ohio and Fla to follow.
He’s living the good life down in La Jolla. Good for him.

Richard Wheeler
MITT ROMNEY DID NOT LOSE,
HE WAS ROB OF IT.

@Richard Wheeler:

While Romney may have backed off his “47%” comment, what about it was wrong? We know leeches like you are more than willing to vote for larger, bigger, more aggressive government. Unfortunate that we have so many, like you, who are more than willing to give up not only your freedom and Constitutional rights for more taxpayer largess to be dumped into your pocket, but those who also think that any personal responsibility should be removed from the populace.

The good news is that I have finally arranged my own personal finances so that I will not be contributing to leeches like you this year.

Ms. Bees BHO 65,899,660–Romney 60,929,660 Almost 5 million difference
Electoral College BHO- 332 Romney-206 Not close
Let it go Listen to what your parents said about sore losers lol

Richard Wheeler
what is 5 million,
there is 11 million illegals in AMERICA,
GIVE THEM SOME BREAD AND THEY WILL VOTE WHAT YOU WANT AND
LEAD THEM TO WHERE THEY CAN VOTE,

Bees As a Canadian you really don’t have a clue about how OUR country works. Do you?
I’ll say again–Your attempt to help The Conservatives or The Republicans is actually helping The Dems.
Funny

FED X
DON’T PICK ON ME
THE CAPS GET STUCK IN MY COMPUTER,

Richard Wheeler
tell me how it help the DEMS,
SO I CAN FIX IT

Voter fraud should be punishable by immediate execution and confiscation of all personal financial assets, including life insurance policies. These criminals are stealing our national heritage and condemning us to the pending totalitarian government once our current system collapses from all their Cloward-Piven-Gramscian nefariousness. They are traitors to this country and should never be considered Americans.

My only hope is that I will life long enough to see all these leftist bastards get exactly what they deserve for their evil, selfish acts…and for a new Republic to rise from the ashes that actually remains faithful to the principles of our Constitution.

I really don’t know how much more of the leftists’ blatant hypocrisy I can stand…

Pete
well said, it take just a bit more time to get there where you want,
but it will with the SPIRIT of AMERICANS LIKE YOU.
BEST TO YOU.

Pete Maybe you oughta move up to Canada with Bees. You can continue to throw bombs from up there. She sure does.
Of course you’re still gonna be in a country run by leftists.lol

Richard Wheeler
my turn to tell you that you don’t understand CANADA
IT’S RUN BY A CONSERVATIVE PRIME MINISTER,
AND HE IS VERY SMART AND FOR THE OIL PRODUCTION,
AND PROMOTE JOBS BEFORE ANY THING ELSE,
HE IS FOR THE PEOPLE, NOT HIMSELF

Richard Wheeler
you didn’t answer my question,
you said I’m helping the DEMS?
HOW’S THAT?

Bees If you don’t know by now I ain’t gonna tell you. Just keep doin what you’re doin.lol

btw I do stand corrected about current Canadian leadership but Harper would probably be considered a CINO by many here at F.A.

Richard Wheeler
you are the one to say I’M HELPING YOUR SIDE,
I JUST ASK YOU HOW,
IS IT SO HARD TO ANSWER AND FINISH YOUR SENTENCE?

I’ll say again–Your attempt to help The Conservatives or The Republicans is actually helping The Dems.

This is Rich’s comment to Bees. When asked how, his reply is:

Bees If you don’t know by now I ain’t gonna tell you.

Now, ain’t that a fine answer from a guy who voted for the Crook from Chicago?

Let’s see: Bees has no voice in America as Bees is not American, but Canadian. Bees cannot vote so consequently, cannot have a say in electing a scam artist from Chicago. Bees does not have access, like Rich, to take advantage of taxpayer largess in order to refinance his $600,000.00+ California McMansion. Seems it is not Bees that is hurting this nation, but far leftists like our own resident liberal, Richard Wheeler, the leech who thinks there is no problem putting others on the hook for his own responsibility.

Let me introduce to you Richard Wheeler, Left Coast Leech.

Retire05 You’re just a sad and very frustrated old lady.If you weren’t such a mean old bitch I might feel sorry for your mentally hobbled condition.

Richard Wheeler
he said it to you better than I would have,
you are the one who started this,
now don’t blame any one for your stupidity,

Bees Retireo5 is mid 70’s woman who has previously “engaged” Aye and other Conservatives on this site. She’s frustrated.
My comment to you about helping the Dems—Much of what you say is over the top.Not in any way based on fact. In the long run that type of hyperbole hurts your cause. Check your facts and you’ll be better served.

Semper Fi

@Richard Wheeler:

Richard Wheeler says:49

Bees Retireo5 is mid 70′s woman

Well, my, my, Richard; you seem to have one of those crystal balls that allow you to know facts about people that only liberals seem able to buy. Or perhaps you have invented a new computer widget that allows you to access someone’s personal information. Please, do tell all of us where we can buy those wonderful products.

who has previously “engaged” Aye and other Conservatives on this site.

Which has exactly WHAT to do with you? Oh, that’s right; like all liberals, you need to drag others into the conversation for backup. The title of “Weasel” doesn’t do you justice, Richard.

She’s frustrated.

So now you’re a psychiatrist qualified to give an opinion on someone’s mental/emotional state? Is that a recent acheivement as I don’t remember you mentioning it before?

Why don’t you go ahead and tell us all again what a leech you are and how you used the system, and taxpayer dollars, to fund your $600,000.00+ McMansion.

Richard, you are a disgrace to this nation, and no, I’m not frustrated. I just have gotten to the point where I lack any tolerance for enemies of the nation I love, and that includes you.
