Fox News host Megyn Kelly has asked Debbie Wasserman Schulz when she thinks human life begins. Yesterday, CNN grilled the head of the Democratic Party about abortion and whether or not she supported any limits on killing a 7-pound baby in an abortion. As with abortion, she can’t answer the question.
Last week, the head of the Democratic Party made it clear: There should be no limits on abortion, period — and that includes no limits on abortions up tot the day of birth apparently.
“Can you answer that question?” [about when life begins] Kelly asked.
“The question that he was asked, and that he’s trying to deflect by pushing it out on me, is does he support exceptions—,” Schultz started saying.
Kelly responded, “No, I know. I gave you that point. I see that point. He hasn’t been explicit on it. But I’m wondering about you, because I have you tonight.”
“So, from my perspective, from my party’s perspective, we do not support rolling back the protection that the Constitutional right to make your own reproductive choices established in Roe versus Wade has given to women,” Schultz said.

Even as the most horrific details of what Kermit Gosnell was doing were coming to light, the left would not object to it. The left wing media would not even cover it. Though George Tiller had been proven to be lying about the necessity for late term abortions, when he was murdered he was (and still is) revered as an abortion hero.
Except for reasons of threats to the health of the mother, there is NO REASON for partial birth abortions. None. Nada. If a woman, with all the freedom of choice she could possibly want, has not made up her mind about abortion in 20 weeks, by which time the baby can survive outside the mother’s body, then she should take the baby to full term. All the left wants is a world of irresponsibility and freedom from consequences.
Maybe Schultz should go back and re-read Roe V Wade.
The entire decision rested on a ”penumbra” of shadow of law that required the abortion to take place in the 1st trimester!
There is no justification for the murderous act of abortion. Every excuse the pro-abortionists use has always been nothing but a dodge of the very real, completely willful and determined act of extermination of innocent human life for nothing but the convenience of those who have already escaped the womb alive.
Even in incest or rape cases, it is not the fault of the innocent fetus how he or she came into being. Murdering the fetus because the sperm donor raped the mother is like killing the person who buys a new car because the car salesman was beaten up by the truck driver who delivered the new car to the lot. Perhaps if we could devise a manner to conclusively prove (DNA evidence? Video proving the rape?) that a man raped a woman (since we have plenty of evidence of false accusations of rape, a la the Duke lacrosse team; the recent Rolling Stone false report, etc) then in such cases conclusively proving the man raped the woman. had the penalty be death by castration, we might not have as much rape to worry about.
Regularly taking care of human beings born at 23-24 weeks gestational age, who then go home with their parents in 3-4 months with normal brains, normal eyes, normal lungs, smiling at their parents’ faces and going on to live normal lives – yeah, that makes it such that the idea of exterminating such an innocent during that most vulnerable stage of human development merely for the convenience of those past the parturitional stage of the human life cycle absolutely horrendous and sickening. People like Gosnell, and all other abortionists making themselves rich engaging in such vile butchery – while posing in the false sanctimony of ‘caring’ for women – are deserving of nothing but absolute contempt.

@DrJohn: If the corrupt media had reported on Gosnell and Tiller to the same extent as they report “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot”, there would be far less support for abortion and especially late term, partial birth abortion.

What is even more despicable is the effort by the pro-abortion side to deny the very real health ramifications of abortion. Even discounting the horrific behavior and practices of Gosnell, the risk of perforated uterus, damage to the cervix leading to cervical incompetence and the increased risk of future preterm birth, the increased incidence of depression and breast cancer ( which the pro-aborts vociferously deny despite over 20 peer reviwed studies indicating such links) are all potential results that the abortion industry deny exist. And let’s not forget the disparate numbers of abortions for black children, nor the writings of the evil eugenicist – Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood – who wrote about the goal of aborting as many blacks and other “undesirables” as possible.
The national average survival rate without brain damage of infants born in the US at 24 weeks gestation is above 75%. The survival rate is 90-95% with modern neonatal medicine. There is NO valid excuse for the slaughter of these innocents.
Wasserman Schultz and many of the rabidly pro-abortion left need to go back and read Roe v Wade. The SCOTUS decision does not say what they think it does, (i.e. 1 trimester, 2nd trimester, 3rd trimester.)
@Ditto: If there is a case to be made for abortion, it would have to be, in any case in my opinion, only in the first month or so. but after that, we’re only condoning murder. (absolute safety and health of mother is certainly a reason for an exemption. ) At any rate, most dimocrats have no problem with just outright murder of babies. When Obama voted, in Ill on a state law, he voted that it is okay to let an aborted baby that survives the abortion just die with no action being taken to save it’s life. That is just plain murder.
