President Obama, during an interview with St. Louis’s KMOV, was hammered for “jetting around, [taking] different vacations and so forth, sometimes … under the color of state business.” The interviewer, Larry Conners, suggested even that folks “get frustrated, even angered” seeing the president take these trips, and told Obama that these Americans think he’s “out of touch, that [Obama doesn’t] really know what they’re experiencing right now.”

KMOV-STL’s Larry Conners: “The economy is a big issue and concern for folks. I mean, the unemployment, trying to make ends meet, gas prices, food prices going up. Some of our viewers are complaining, they get frustrated, even angered, when they see the first family jetting around, different vacations and so forth, sometimes maybe they think under color of state business and that you’re out of touch, that you don’t really know what they’re experiencing right now.”

Once again, you miss the point, the reason, for hammering Obama on this. Whether Bush had more vacations or not, whether they were cheaper or not, matters not one little bit. Bush isn’t the one who told Americans to “tighten their belts”, to curtail their wasteful spending. Obama is. Then Obama goes out and snarls up NY city traffic for a “date night”, jets Michelle and the girls around the world, burning massive quantities of fuel at the same time he is railing against our oil-driven economy, parties it up at the WH while more and more families are going on the food stamp dole, or getting their meager unemployment checks, and etc., etc., etc.
It’s the hypocritical, “I don’t care about them” attitude Obama has displayed from day one of his presidency. You can sit there and try to defend his actions all you want, Lib1, but your words do not match what the American people see as the picture of Obama’s presidency. That you cannot even be critical of something like this speaks very loudly of your own blind devotion and worship.

Our Nation is going into seriously dangerous levels of Debt in terms of Soverign stablity, but then again most Liberals like Liberal1 here might not understand the Historical reasons why maintaining a trimmed and controled Government Budget and not giving entitlements is a need to Survive as a Nation. Nazi Germany came into power due to the serious Debts that the Wiemar Republic of Germany owed to World War I Allies who won the War. Currently the United States, Liberal1, is sitting a similar debt issue with the People’s Republic of China being the Nation to be repaid. Current taxation levels of citizens covers the basic and needed operations of Government, but for the pet projects and bloated entitlements ontop of your beloved Communist grasp at Healthcare Liberal1 requires the United States to borrow monies from China to even remotely, “pay” for these things. The Chinese will be more than utterly happy to hang the noose around the United States or in this case help supply the proverbial rope for the noose that the United States is making for itself Debt wise as this means the Chinese are given the means to expand and increase its Social Political and Military Power globally while the United States has to marginalize and decrease its Global Presence. This exact thing happened to the British after World War I and was compounded after World War II as the British Government was in debt to the United States for decades only in the late 2000’s finaly paying the United States’ loans.
The United States’s Founding moments after winning the Revolution was in serious fisical debt, and instead of placing sharp taxation on the Citizens the newly born Government encouraged private Industry within and growth of its Citizens businesses while promoting trade deals with the French and Dutch shipping businesses. This helped repay off the war debt and offset the French businesses who had contracts to ship supplies to the United States to fight the British. Now, in modern days we get Democrats telling us they need more money for projects already grossly overspent on or programs that have gone totally bust because the monies orginaly collected for said programs were instead misspent for social-entitlements to buy voters’ opinions (aka social security has been backed by loans by the Chinese and Japanese since 1998.) Let alone we get Democrats like the Obamas here telling the Middle Class and Upper Class citizens to decrease our diets, trim our personal spending, trim our lifestyles, expect increased taxation, expect lower wages, and expect the Government to choose if we as individuals will be given service by a Medical Professional while the Democrats on the Captial are living life as Monarchs off of the dime of the tax payers. There was a revolution in France in the 1700’s that had to deal with high taxation policies, poor treatment of the Citizens and the ruling leaders being utterly snub and cruel to the citizens… The Loyalists of such Monarchy in the French Revoltuion were not loved by the emacipated.
