No, The Planned Parenthood Videos Have Not Been ‘Deceptively Edited’

Loading

Matt Walsh:

Good news, abortion fans! Turns out the hours and hours and hours of footage showing Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of baby limbs and organs can officially be discounted and dismissed. According to a report sent to Congress yesterday, the videos are “heavily edited” and “inaccurate.”

Whew! Finally, we can revert back to completely ignoring the continued holocaust of helpless, innocent children. What a relief! All this selling dead baby stuff was really giving my conscience a workout. I guess I can return it to the shelf and get back to the business of displaying utter disdain and disregard for basic human decency.

Or maybe not.

Despite the claim, reported as fact, that the videos are “totally manipulated” and “altered,” making them essentially worthless as evidence, the truth remains exactly the same. Planned Parenthood sells dead baby parts. This is a fact, and it has not been even remotely debunked.

Someone should inform the media about this, by the way. They demonstrated no interest in Planned Parenthood’s trafficking of dead baby parts up until now, but since an analysis has supposedly “disproved” the claim, suddenly the whole issue seems relevant to them. The Center For Medical Progress has been releasing footage for two months, but it wasn’t front page news until a report declared it “deceptive.” The media acknowledged the revelations for long enough to categorically dismiss them. Now, we’re supposed to just move on.

Unfortunately for the abortion industry and its disciples in mass media, I actually took the radical step of reading the entire report myself. I encourage you to check it out. Americans should probably learn to investigate information for themselves rather than relying on the Huffington Post and CNN to give them the cliff notes.

On that front, my own independent analysis of the independent analysis came to vastly difference conclusions.

Here are my findings:

1. No matter what — even if the videos used computer animation and special effects and the Planned Parenthood officials were actually Tom Cruise wearing realistic masks like in “Mission Impossible” — we still know that Planned Parenthood kills over 300,000 human beings a year. That’s established. Nobody denies it. The defunding of Planned Parenthood should still proceed, even if this all turns out to be an elaborate and morbid Broadway production, because no civilized country should fund the murder of human beings. Period.

Now, stop and think about this for a second: abortion enthusiasts are tripping over themselves to paint these videos as “false,” because they can’t bring themselves to accept that their beloved Planned Parenthood would sell human limbs and organs. Yet, these same brainwashed sycophants eagerly accept, and in fact applaud, the fact that Planned Parenthood kills children to begin with. This is like defending Jeffrey Dahmer by passionately insisting that the reports of cannibalism were falsified. Even if they were, he still, uh, like, murdered 17 people, didn’t he? Cannibalism would make his crimes more dramatic, I suppose, but either way, he’s a damned serial killer. So is Planned Parenthood.

2. I want everyone reading this right now to please remember one thing for as long as you live: Planned Parenthood can never be trusted. Ever. Under any circumstance. They are liars to their core. Filthy, murderous liars. They lie about everything. Of course they do. Again, they kill human beings, what do you expect? Planned Parenthood lies when it says “3 percent of its business is abortion.” It lies when it says it does mammograms. It lies to women. It lies to everyone. It lies all the time, in every situation. When raped teenage girls come in for abortions, it lies by not reporting the abuse to authorities. It keeps women in the dark. It lives in the dark. It thrives on lies. And lies. And lies. And lies.

This is a relevant point because the “independent analysts” who inspected the videos were hired by Planned Parenthood. They were not, in fact, independent at all. They were working for, and being paid by, the very organization being investigated. On top of it all, the report comes to us courtesy of a company called Fusion GPS, which is a deeply partisan opposition research firm tied to the Democrat Party.

Surely, none of us are stupid enough to think there was every any chance Planned Parenthood would hire liberal partisan “analysts” who’d potentially come back and say, “Yep, Planned Parenthood broke the law!” The outcome was predetermined. This report, which is now being disseminated as gospel by an ethically bankrupt media, is the result of Planned Parenthood investigating itself. Surprise! Planned Parenthood says Planned Parenthood is entirely innocent of wrongdoing (except for murdering the equivalent of the population of Delaware every year — that part is true, but never mind). Is that really supposed to settle the issue?

3. As for the report itself, like I said, read it. Please read it. Lord, it’s laughable. I really want you to read it so you understand just how thoroughly, profoundly, irreparably dishonest the abortion industry is about everything, and how beholden our nation’s “reporters” are to it. Then again, maybe these water-carrying media members are just angling to the be the latest recipients of the trophies Planned Parenthood hands out to the most cooperative and obedient journalists.

Here’s the deal: not only does Planned Parenthood’s report fail to disprove CPM’s findings, it actually verifies them. In the first couple of paragraphs, the report admits, and I quote, “this analysis did not reveal widespread evidence of substantive video manipulation.” Alright. So there you go. The end, folks. Why are we still talking about this?

It says it did find “cuts and skips” but qualifies that “many of the edits likely removed irrelevant content.” Well, obviously. This was a months-long undercover investigation compiling thousands of hours of tape. Would it make any sense for them to put out a YouTube video with 180,000 minutes of uncut footage? I don’t even think YouTube allows videos that long, and in any case, nobody would watch it. It’s hard to get anyone to sit still for something more than 30 seconds long. A minute is pushing it. Two minutes might as well be the director’s cut of “Gone With The Wind.”

As it happens, they did release extended versions of each condensed video, which means they went vastly above and beyond what most undercover journalists would do. Naturally, no matter what, there are going to be substantial gaps of time where nobody is saying anything and nothing is happening. They took that out, just as anyone making any video for any reason would. Why are we pretending this is somehow suspicious? Is this the first time we’ve encountered the concept of “making a video”? Almost every video you see anywhere on the internet or TV is edited. Only now, because Planned Parenthood is being called to task, do we feign shock at the fact. “Wait, there’s a four minute gap where someone leaves to go to the bathroom? WHY DIDN’T YOU INCLUDE THAT PART? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO HIDE?”

The point is, the whole “the videos were edited!” thing is incredibly disingenuous, and this report only underscores that point. They took hours and hours and hours of video and gave us a long and a short edition to inspect. The question is whether the footage they did provide is substantively manipulated. On that score, Planned Parenthood itself admits it wasn’t.

4. The report does detail some “deceptive” edits, however. For instance:

“Fusion GPS consulted with an experienced reality and documentary television producer, Scott Goldie, for an expert opinion of the editing techniques used in the short videos. Mr.Goldie identifies the use of ominous music, replays, color manipulation, “scratch” effects, strategic display of frame counters and timestamps, all chosen to create “gotcha” moments.”

This is what we’re dealing with. Planned Parenthood sent an analysis to Congress which purports to vindicate it because a reality TV producer noticed background music. Yes, and also everyone else noticed it. I’m not sure why they had to drag in someone from Hollywood to tell us about it, but so be it. There was music at the beginning and end, and replays in the middle to highlight some particularly damning pieces of film. These edits are obvious and absolutely irrelevant. To even include them in the report is at once embarrassing and hilarious.

The report also spends a considerable amount of time contradicting two tiny, immaterial portions of transcript from one of the videos. It states that Fusion GPS didn’t find “any evidence of audio manipulation,” and says again later that it never found anything indicating that audio was “inserted or manipulated,” but it does take issue with CPM’s interpretation of two supposedly “unintelligible” bits of dialogue.

In one of the videos, a Planned Parenthood staff member refers to a murdered unborn child as a “baby,” and in another part, a lab tech looks down at the mangled corpse of a dead baby, laughs, and remarks, “another boy!”

Here is Planned Parenthood’s smoking gun. Out of 10 pages, the analysis spends the most time here, which should tell you something. They can’t defend themselves against the substance of the accusations — that they sell organs and limbs for profit and alter their procedures to preserve specimens — so they dedicate paragraph upon paragraph to refuting the most trivial aspects.

Even there, they can’t disprove anything. Nothing. Nothing is disproved anywhere in the report, even the things that don’t make a difference anyway. Instead, they tell us their forensic analysts and Hollywood producers couldn’t verify that “it’s a baby” and “another boy” were actually said. Maybe they said “hey there lady” and “I want a toy” or “call me maybe” and “I’d like some soy (sauce).” Maybe they said a million other things, or maybe they said precisely what it sounds like they said.

It’s of no consequence.

@Greg:

Nice attempted dodge. All of which is destroyed by the screenshot capture of StemExpress website from before the release of the CMP videos, in which StemExpress touts the PROFIT to abortion clinics for selling them tissue and organs from aborted fetuses.

The current StemExpress webpage has removed the reference to “making it financially rewarding for your clinic” in light of the videos.

Notice the irony of StemExpress editing their webpage, while pro-aborts scream about the alleged deception of CMP editing irrelevent footage from their videos.

StemExpress is a private, profit-oriented corporation, and is completely independent of Planned Parenthood. It has never been a part of Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood is nonprofit organization.

The Center for Medical Progress is a 501(c)3 organization that has no function beyond the production and distribution of deceptive anti-abortion propaganda promoting the elimination of American women’s right to decide whether or not to terminate a pregnancy. To this end, they arranged meetings between Planned Parenthood officials and “buyers” impersonating the representatives of a legitimate medical specimens procurement company.

The fraudulent “buyers” repeatedly attempted to lure the Planned Parenthood representative into discussions about unethical practices and business arrangements, but those suggestions were clearly and repeatedly rejected. The Center for Medical Progress dealt with this inconvenience by editing their surreptitiously recorded video footage to create an impression that Planned Parenthood was in fact willing to engage in such unethical practices, and have widely distributed the deceptive video and actively promoted that lie by every means possible.

Consequently, the lying sons of bitches are now facing law suits. Hopefully their sham organization will not protect those who participated in the fraud . Their deliberate libel has already cost Planned Parenthood funding in a number of states and seriously damaged the personal reputation of a Planned Parenthood representative.

The Center for Medical Progress has conveniently provided all of the necessary evidence for a number of legal actions, in the form of unedited footage and the deceptively edited material that they actively distributed and promoted. Very considerate of them.

@Greg:

Again with the shell game deflection tactics? Really?

Who has ever made the claim that StemExpress was part of Planned Parenthood? No one.

What has been shown is the CEO of StemExpress admitting that she has paid PP abortuaries for fetal organs and tissues. In the most recently released video, she discusses talking to PP clinics about paying them for tissues and organs in what can only be considered a kickback scheme that sounds like it would run afoul of the Stark law – though I admit I am no lawyer and would defer to their opinion – when she comments on the allegedly non-profit ABR paying PP clinic workers as “advisors”.

What lawsuits against CMP are you talking about? The only one I know of was StemExpress going to court for a restraining order to prevent the release of any CMP videos showing their employees, which was lifted in California, hardly a bastion of pro-life judicial positions. If CMP had anything to hide, why are they releasing the unedited footage, if such defamation lawsuits had any chance of being successful?

So let’s compare actions to see who really is trying to hide anything….

CMP, which has released unedited video and transcripts, versus

StemExpress, who went to court to try to stop the release of videos of their employees?

Planned Parenthood performs invasive surgical medical procedures in an outpatient clinic setting yet resists all legal attempts to require meeting the same standards of medical practice that every oher outpatient surgical clinic must meet.
Yet we are expected to believe that PP cares about the welfare of women?

And as far as your contention that the undercover CMP people baited the PP representatives, I would love to hear your explanation of how CMP brought up the subject of wanting to buy a Lamborghini, (which words came out of the PP butcher’s mouth unsolicited) or point out any other example of the CMP actors putting words into the PP employees’ mouths.

Center for Medical “Progress” created a deliberately deceptive video that has resulted in serious damages to a non-profit organization that provides a wide range of entirely lawful women’s medical and reproductive services, as well as serious damages to the personal reputation of one of its high level representatives. That would be what is known to the law as libel. Center for Medical Progress can be sued for that.

StemExpress, in which I have less interest, can also sue. As they are a for profit organization conducting an entirely lawful business, the monetary damages resulting from libel would be an issue. There’s also the matter of covert recording being unlawful in the State of California.

The 501(c)3 status of Center for Medical Progress is also highly questionable. There’s no Center, they’re in no sense Medical, and any idea of them promoting Progress is totally absurd, unless you consider progress a return to the era of illegal backstreet abortion clinics.

.

So, if those videos, in their entirety, are so deceptive, why hasn’t Planned Parenthood initiated a law suit against CMP for libel?

Here is why; it would be a civil suit, and discovery alone would put PP out of business as they would be required to provide the defense with all manner of documents up to and including building costs, utility costs, separation of funding for abortion facilities that are housed in the same building as their offices and other services such as adoption referrals. PP could be required to provide the charge for every abortion performed and the cost to PP to perform those abortions. They would also be required to show how they contracted services of a medical disposal company for the disposal of human babies. Discovery for PP’s records would absolutely put them out of business.

So I would encourage PP to sue.

You mean like the 501(c)3 status of MediaMatters that claims it is a-political and does not engage in political activity?

Exclusive: The Faces and Fake Names of People Behind Planned Parenthood Attack Videos

When you’re truthful, when you don’t have something to hide—when you’re not a bunch of spineless chickenshits—you shouldn’t have to try to hide behind phony organizations and fake names.

We can reveal that the full names used by three operatives were: Robert Daoud Sarkis, the alias used by Daleiden, according to multiple sources who met with him at events in California and other states; as well as Susan Tennenbaum and Brianna Allen, both of which appear to be aliases of as-yet unidentified operatives.

So, Robert Daoud Sarkis is David Robert Daleiden, that’s clear. He’s a good person to begin any law suits and criminal investigations with. He states he plans to plea the Fifth Amendment, so it will probably be necessary to identify his accomplices. This shouldn’t be too difficult, since their photographs have been discovered. I doubt if the blonde hair is going to conceal the angry fat woman’s true identity. She probably had James O’Keefe assist with costuming.

At some of the private events infiltrated by “Sarkis” and “Tennenbaum,” attendees were required to show photo identification, according to organizers who requested anonymity due to security concerns.

That would mean they’ve not just printed up phony business cards; they’ve also used forged photo IDs.

Planned Parenthood: A terrified business partner abandons the organization

Perhaps Hillary Clinton’s comment about terrorism wasn’t all that far off the mark. Some of what we’re seeing from the right does fall somewhere along the terrorism continuum. They’ve only killed a few doctors and blown up a few clinics in the past, but fear is being used as a weapon. It’s being used in an effort to achieve goals that can’t be achieved by honest debate, truthful information, and through the democratic process.

@Greg:

Simple.question then, Greg. If the CMP videos.are, as you allege, libelous, then why haven’t either PP or StemExpress already filed such a lawsuit? For something to be libelous, it must be proven to be false. I am willing to bet that CMP would LOVE the discovery process in the event either PP or StemExpress made the decision to sue for libel.

Interestingly, rather than sue for libel, StemExpress made a public announcement of cutting all ties with PP. That doesn’t seem like something a company that felt it was a victim of libel would do, does it?

Sputterring about alleged libel, while presenting zero evidence of such acts seems more a desperate denial ploy than a valid tactic.

Lawsuits have been filed. I expect more will be coming.

@Greg:

Because people doing undercover investigations use their real names all the time while conducting their undercover investigations, right? And the CMP lead investigator is still hiding his name after releasing the videos, right? Because PP and StemExpress would have opened their doors and gone out to eat to have candid business conversations had CMP introduced themselves as a pro-life organization investigating abortion and fetal organ harvesting, right?

Suppose an organization was believed to be operating an adoption front, running on tax dollars, but was actually engaged in trafficking underage sex slaves. Would you express all this high dudgeon about undercover investigators using pseudonyms and fake IDs to gain access to obtain video footage of the organization? Or how about for an undercover investigation of a cosmetics company or a food processing plant, to investigate how the company was treating animals? If the investigators found no evidence of wrongdoing, so much fhe better for the company, but if the company was caught on video engaging in illegal, unethical or questionable acts, would you be upset about the manner in which the investigation was performed?

And there is no tone of defensive desperation in your gratuitous name-calling of the undercover operatives at all, is there?

@retire05:

You explained the discovery process so much better than I could.

@Greg:

Pardon my ignorance on this, but the only filed lawsuits I have seen in the news from PP have been against states that have cancelled medicaid contracts with PP, not against CMP. The only lawsuit filed by StemExpress of which I am aware is the one they lost trying to prevent the release of videos of StemExpress employees. I suppose I can do a google search, but as the site resident defender of PP, perhaps you’d care to enlighten us?

Ok, quick Google search “planned parenthood lawsuit against CMP” reveals that the only lawsuit currently filed by PP against CMP is a request for an injunction against the release of any video footage of the NAF (National Abortion Federation) conference. It seems that PP is ashamed of whatever occured at the meeting.

There are other hits that report PP is looking into suing CMP, but no discussion of exactly what allegedly illegal act over which PP has grounds to sue. The is a lot of vague nonsense about CMP being tied in some nebulous way to some unidentified nefarious organization that shoots abortionists, as well as some bizarre attempt to accuse CMP of fraud in obtaining the video footage.

The real question is what does PP have to hide, if they have done nothing wrong? I have been to loads of national medical conferences, and have never seen or heard anything at any conference that would cause me – or the organizers of the conference – shame to have been caught on video.

I wonder what the reaction of the left would have been had the Romney campaign or the GOP tried to sue the videographer who caught the “47%” comment from releasing his footage?

@Pete:

:

You explained the discovery process so much better than I could.

Since this would be a civil case, the rules of discovery are quite broad. Not to mention that each person involved with PP, including Cecile Richards, would be deposed. And if the defense had an attorney worth his/her salt, they would be holding press conferences and parts of the discovery would “leak” out. A law suit would be a public relations nightmare for Planned Parenthood.

As a physician, you know that there are rules and guidelines for medical waste, including waste that is human. You just can’t be chunking an appendix or parts of a colon down the garbage disposal. Same with fetal “waste.”

But you already know that I pushed Greggie Goebbels on the legal issue. If PP had a case, which they do not, they would have already sued and the fact that Stem Express severed ties with PP, tells you that Stem Express is in full damage control.

I can tell you that PP is going to be defunded in a number of states, and there is not one damn thing PP can do about it since other sources are available for women/low income women. PP can jump up and down, but here is one little hiccup for them; on the Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast video, the technician is telling CMP that the “fetus” is 22 weeks. This happened in Houston, and Texas has a state law that prohibits abortion after 20 weeks. A law that has been upheld in federal appeals court.

And let’s be quite clear about one thing: PP is NOT a charitable organization. The average cost of a PP abortion is $540.00 and while that may be less than other, and more reputable, clinics, it ain’t cheap.

So while Greggie Goebbels defends the slaughter of unborn babies, a large majority of whom are minorities, and links to pro-murderchoice websites, he will continue to spin and accuse others of wrong doing. Never mind that using an alias is standard procedure in any investigative police work/reporting.

I promise you our State Attorney General is on this like a june bug.

I can tell you that PP is going to be defunded in a number of states, and there is not one damn thing PP can do about it since other sources are available for women/low income women.

It’s going to blow up in your faces. With a majority of Americans supporting Planned Parenthood funding, the Center for Medical Progress is doubling down on the bullshit. Good move! The right has thus far alienated and insulted blacks, Hispanics, women, and democratic voters in general. Between that and the clown show that’s passing for The Republican Debates, they’re going to get the GOP massacred in the 2016 elections. They will be amply rewarded for their stupidity.

Here’s reality, with regard to this particular issue: Americans Choose “Pro-Choice” for First Time in Seven Years

@Greg:

The Gallop poll you cite is from May. The CMP videos came out AFTER that poll. Wonder what such a poll would show now? If a majority of Americans, after seeing what CMP has revealed about PP’s actual behavior were still so supportive, then why did StemExpress cut ties with PP? Why did 3 major companies, including Ford and Coca Cola, make public statements that they are not corporate sponsors of PP, and why did PP take down their list of corporate sponsors? Why is PP suing to hide the videos of the NAF conference?

Why did 3 major companies, including Ford and Coca Cola, make public statements that they are not corporate sponsors of PP, and why did PP take down their list of corporate sponsors?

It’s not because they’ve “seen the light.” It’s a corporate response to fear of having their products targeted. In short, they’re seeing Planned Parenthood being methodically terrorized and don’t want to become targets themselves.

These people are zealots. Marketplace terrorism? That’s nothing. Their history shows they’re capable of far worse: Co-Founder Behind Planned Parenthood Video Has Close Ties to Abortion Clinic Violence Operation Rescue is essentially a terrorist organization. Intimidation one of their normal strategies.

@Greg:

When you’re truthful, when you don’t have something to hide—when you’re not a bunch of spineless chickenshits—you shouldn’t have to try to hide behind phony organizations and fake names.

Kind of like the guy that videoed Romney’s statements about the welfare state stood up and bravely, before he videoed the remarks that the left would twist and abuse to maximum effect, stated, “Mr. Romney, I am a committed leftist determined to see to it that the country endures 4 more years of embarrassing failure and pain, so I will be recording your remarks to use against you.” Right?

Let them sue. They will then have to publicly defend what they said. However, I suspect it will never go to trial, for lack of an actual case.

At least, Greg, you have stopped with the nonsensical pursuit of the “edits” as some sort of viable explanation. You have grown, mentally, as this process progresses. Good for you.

@Pete: I, too, tried to think of a comparable example from the right and the Romney video, which only revealed Romney stating an absolute fact, was all I could think of as well. Tells you something about both sides, doesn’t it?

@Pete:

The Gallop poll you cite is from May. The CMP videos came out AFTER that poll

Of course. Greggie Goebbels is the king of the sound bite and cherry picked polls. But then, if you look at the entire Gallop running poll on abortion, it shows that only 29% support abortion on demand and 51% think abortion should be legal only under certain circumstances.

Greggie Goebbels totally ignored a poll by Monmouth University early in August 2015 that showed 53% were not even aware of the videos. As more people become aware of the heinous practice of selling murdered baby parts, more will turn against abortion on demand, a practice I’m sure Greggie Goebbels supports.

@Bill:

That “guy” happened to be Jimmie Carter’s grandson who faked his way into a Republican rally for Mitt Romney. He also knew that the rally goers were asked to turn their cell phones off but used his to video Mitt Romney. Greggie Goebbels is more than happy to use a sound bite from Romney’s speech that night to misrepresent what Romney said, but will defend the comments of PP representatives that are discussing selling dead baby parts.

Let them sue. They will then have to publicly defend what they said. However, I suspect it will never go to trial, for lack of an actual case.

PP will never sue. Discovery would be a public relations nightmare for them. How about this: “Tell me, Ms. [Cecile] Richards, your PP Gulf Coast facility has one electric meter. How do you make sure that no federal funding goes toward the electric bill for the electricity that is provided to the abortion facility located in the same building? Can you provide us with the invoices for the medical waste disposal company that itemizes what waste that company has taken receipt of? When you provide a woman with a six month supply of birth control pills, is that considered one service or six and is an abortion considered one service or two although at least two visits are required?”

Like I said before, discovery would be a disaster for PP. Their fungible use of federal funds, mixed with donation funds, would be an accounting hell for them as there is no way to determine how much electricity an abortion facility, housed in the same building as all other services, uses.

Also, Greggie Goebbels says that California law does not permit video/audio taping without the person being video/audio taped being aware of it. Too bad for Greggie that much of the videos produced came from Texas which has no such law. Not to mention the fact that PPGC violated Texas law by abortion a 22 week gestation baby.

Greggie Goebbels said: “Perhaps Hillary Clinton’s comment about terrorism wasn’t all that far off the mark. Some of what we’re seeing from the right does fall somewhere along the terrorism continuum.”

He seems to have forgotten the terrorist tactics of his own side with the CEO of Mozilla, the terrorism against Chick-Fil-A, and other businesses and individuals who were against abortion or same sex marriage. Obviously he is of the opinion that only the leftists have read Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals and only the left is capable of carrying out those rules. I guess he’s never heard the old adage “fight fire with fire.”

@Greg:

Calling Operation Rescue a terrorist organization is a desperate, laughable lie, and shows the extremism of the pro-abortion movement. Your argument boils down to “Killing a human fetus is not wrong, but showing pictures of the results of abortion, praying outside abortuaries and protesting against abortion is terrorism.” By that skewed logic the civil rights protestors who marched, did lunch counter sit-ins and marched in Selma were terrorists.

@Pete, #70:

Intimidation has been one of Operation Rescue’s commonly used tactics. They have a history of lying siege to women’s clinics and have done their best to intimidate doctors, staff, and patients. Their discussion boards have provided an encouraging environment for extremists which Operation Rescue invariably disclaims once an act of terror has been committed.

Cheryl Sullenger, Operation Rescue’s senior policy adviser, is a proven terrorist. She was convicted in 1988 for her part in failed plot to bomb an abortion clinic in San Diego. She bought material to construct the bomb and assisted the bomber in assembling a disguise. She assisted Scott Roeder, Dr. Tiller’s killer, by keeping him updated on the dates and times of Tiller’s court appearances. She provided such information whenever he called in. Her explanation was that he was “so polite” about asking. When Roeder was apprehended following the assassination in Tiller’s church, her name and Operation Rescue phone number were found in his car.

These people are terrorists, plain and simple. They’re presently engaging in corporate terrorism, but that’s hardly the worst that they’ve done. As with many terrorist organizations, there’s a public front that attempts to disassociate itself from the intimidation and violence that they encourage and support. They’re a public face of extremist Christian terrorism. There’s very little that’s laughable about it.

@Pete:

Greggie Goebbels resorts to the standard leftist tactic; marginalize, and demonize, the enemy of the goals of the left. Turn the tables and make the accuser the accused.

That tactic worked for decades, but now the gig is up and people are beginning to realize what the left does.

All of this is pure Gramsci Marxism, furthered by Saul Alinsky into actual tactics. But you see, Greggie Goebbels is of the leftist group think that conservatives are just too darn stupid to catch on to what they are doing.

@Greg:

Ummm, you must be talking about the President of the United States and the Democratic Party which, with open arms, has welcomed the likes of William Ayers. Ironic how you want to portray pro-lifers as “terrorists” when your own party is filled with them. Like Al Sharpton, the New Black Panthers and Louis Farrakhan.

That finger you are pointing at the pro-lifers is joined by the three fingers pointing back at you.

What was said in post #71 is the truth. Anyone who wants to verify the facts can easily check them. Look up the names and read their histories. Google “anti-abortion violence” and see what comes up. Or simply open your eyes, take your fingers out your ears, and switch on your brain.

@Greg:

No one said that what you said in #71 was not truthful. What I was pointing out is the hypocrisy of you being a left winger and complaining about “terrorism” when the very man you helped elect to the highest office in the land was connected to a violent terrorist. Not only was Obama closely connected to William Ayers, Ayers kicked off his political career.

I promise you, William Ayers, and his band of terrorists, did more damage and killed more people than Cheryl Sullenger ever thought of doing.

And how about all those Democrats who march in the streets carrying placards of a convicted cop killer who fled to Cuba?

Look within, Greggie Goebbels. It is the Democratic Party that supports terrorists and leftist academia that elevates them to high positions, not conservatives or Republicans.

I promise you, William Ayers, and his band of terrorists, did more damage and killed more people than Cheryl Sullenger ever thought of doing.

Oh, really? The 1970 Park Precinct bombings in San Francisco were long attributed to the Weather Underground, but it was later concluded that another group calling itself the Black Liberation Army was responsible.

In any case, are we going to give a currently active terrorist organization a pass because of what a different group of radicals did 45 years ago? Is that supposed to be some sort of logic?

Don’t try to tell me that fear isn’t a weapon they’re using. They’ve got corporate America terrified of being associated with Planned Parenthood and tarred with the same brush, and spineless conservative politicians terrified of being branded pro-choice. What they haven’t had yet is the backlash, which will come next election at the ballot box.

@Greg:

Cheryl Sullenger admitted her guilt in the clinic bombing attempt, and served her time in federal prison, and now claims to be against violence against abortion clinics. No one here supports acts of violence against PP sites.

Ayers was caught on via audio recordings in an undercover operation being involved in terrorist acts against the US, but the audio recordings were thrown out of evidence on a technicality, so he walked free…unpunished and unrepentent. But since he is a leftist terrorist, you make excuses defending him.

This ridiculous tactic of portraying CMP as a terrorist organization for shooting and releasing undercover videos – engaging in zero violent actions – is a pathetic attempt to change the discussion from what any honest observer can see from the content of the videos. PP clinics have been altering abortion procedures for the purpose of harvesting ad selling baby parts. No amount of handwringing over punished crimes of a person completely unassociated with CMP refutes the content of the videos, nor does Sullenger’s past act negate the underlying position of opposition to the killing of fetal humans.

What is amazing yet again is the hypocrisy of the left in painting all who oppose abortion as terrorists, while each act of muslim terrorism is immediately characterized as being against the tenets of islam.

@Pete:

Calling Operation Rescue a terrorist organization is a desperate, laughable lie, and shows the extremism of the pro-abortion movement.

Cmon, Pete… what else do they have left? Screaming about how sneaky the videos were or “EDITING!!” has fallen flat… they gotta fall back on calling them “terrorists”. But, that is probably just a delaying tactic until “racism” can be worked in.

@Greg:

When Roeder was apprehended following the assassination in Tiller’s church, her name and Operation Rescue phone number were found in his car.

Rogue LA cop, Christopher Dorner’s manifesto he left behind praised Obama. John Holmes worked on his campaign. Does that make him complicit in Dorner’s crimes?

In any case, are we going to give a currently active terrorist organization a pass because of what a different group of radicals did 45 years ago? Is that supposed to be some sort of logic?

What is disgusting is that someone that aspires to be the leader of the United States, charged with enforcing the laws of the land and the Constitution, would even ASSOCIATE with a known terrorist. The hypocrisy is in your rationalization of that association. While, of course, murder, at least the death of Tiller took out a murderer that was illegally carrying out partial birth abortions. Ayers and his organization were killing innocent people in order to incite terrorism and anarchy. This is who Obama sidled up to. And, currently, the left nor Obama will address or denounce the leftist groups (New Black Panthers, Black Lives Matter, Farrakhan) that are actively and openly calling for the murder of white people

Silly and weak, Greg. Silly and weak.

No, The Planned Parenthood Videos Have Not Been ‘Deceptively Edited’

Yes, they most definitely were deceptively edited. And while there were no indications of criminal activity found on the part of Planned Parenthood, that’s more than can be said for people behind the videos produced by the deceptively named “Center for Medical Progress.”

BREAKING: Grand jury indicts pro-life investigator behind baby part videos, clears Planned Parenthood

HOUSTON, January 25, 2016 – The lead investigator behind the undercover Planned Parenthood videos faces up to 20 years in prison after a Houston grand jury decided on Monday not to charge Planned Parenthood with any wrongdoing – and instead indicted him for offering to purchase human organs from the abortion provider.

Center for Medical Progress lead investigator David Daleiden faces a second-degree felony charge of “tampering with a governmental record,” and a misdemeanor charge for violating the state’s “prohibition of the purchase and sale of human organs.”

That is, jurors in the state of Texas are accusing David Daleiden of trying to illegally traffic in aborted babies’ body parts.

The jurors pressed the same charges against Sandra Merritt, who claimed to be “Susan Tennenbaum,” the CEO of BioMax, on its incorporation papers.

Texas state law only allows someone to be charged with such a serious felony “if the actor’s intent in committing the offense was to defraud or harm another.”

That felony charge alone carries a punishment of not less than two, and not more than 20 years in prison, and a fine of up to $10,000.

This was another bullshit video scam like the one run by James O’Keefe against ACORN. Essentially, Center for Medical Progress has engaged in deception and committed criminal acts in an effort to destroy Planned Parenthood through what might be described as institutional character assassination. Congressional republicans are complicit, of course, but they can’t be charged with anything for having politically exploited someone else’s illegal actions.

@Greg: Yeah, that’s what passes as justice for liberals. I have a feeling a trial will backfire on Planned Parenthood badly.

You seem to have a serious problem with dead-bang facts that do not comport with your prejudices, Greg.

I think that’s what happened when a group of reasonable people thoughtfully examined all the facts of the case within the context of the law.

The “facts” that you’re referring to are the misconceptions deliberately created and promoted by a deceptive propaganda video.

Grand jurors offended by Perry suggestion indictment was political

Four jurors told the Houston Chronicle they carefully weighed the evidence and eschewed political considerations during their deliberations.

“We were asked to serve, we attended eight sessions over the course of five months, we listened to hours of evidence and we formed opinions, and those opinions were not motivated by politics,” juror Scott Hillman said. “They were simply motivated by our understanding of the facts as applied to the law.”

Hillman called the governor’s comments in the days since last Friday’s indictment “disrespectful.”

“I see him laugh at these charges, and I think he’s laughing at the process, and he’s laughing at the grand jurors,” Hillman said. “We took our role very, very seriously.”

@Bill: Do you know this case better than the Texas Grand Jury Bill? Hubris

@Greg: The evidence clearly showed the marketing of dismembered baby corpses. Difficult to understand how anyone can take pride in defending such a practice.

@Rich Wheeler: Apparently I do. What this proves is how dangerous liberals will become as they see their grasp on power slipping away.

@Bill, #83:

The evidence clearly showed the marketing of dismembered baby corpses. Difficult to understand how anyone can take pride in defending such a practice.

That’s what the deceptively edited propaganda video purported to show, but an exhaustive review of the actual evidence by a Texas Grand Jury apparently showed no such thing. Instead, it’s lead to criminal charges against the people who made the video.

The Grand Jury concluded there were no indications of criminal acts of any kind whatsoever on the part of Planned Parenthood. The “baby parts for profit” story was a total fabrication.

The Harris County District Attorney who launched the investigation, Devon Anderson, is a republican and an appointee of former Governor Rick Perry. Her comment on the outcome of the five month investigation: “All the evidence uncovered in the course of this investigation was presented to the grand jury. I respect the grand jury’s decision on this difficult case.”

@Greg: The only editing done in this situation is the editing of liberal thought to insert lies that are not there and delete facts that are. How about presenting the evidence of the editing? To date, there has been none, only the repeated claim of something that does not exist.

There has been no “exhaustive review”; the left lacks the courage to even view the videos, so they just fall back on the “Edited!” mantra.

Why does the left support an organization that was founded on racism and racial cleansing? Racism, perhaps?

By the way, Texas has now become the eleventh state to have conducted an investigation of Planned Parenthood, and to have cleared the organization of all wrongdoing. Eight additional states couldn’t find enough evidence suggestive of possible wrongdoing even to merit a formal investigation.

Here’s the bottom line: Planned Parenthood has been the target of a calculated effort to destroy the organization by utilizing the media to propagate lies and slander.

The truth behind Planned Parenthood’s vindication

Speaking of lies and slander:

The GOP’s vile Planned Parenthood lies have completely fallen apart

While they accuse everyone else of lying about virtually everything, they lie to the fish. And they will never, ever, under any circumstances retract the false statements they’ve made, or apologize for the serious damage done by them.

There have been damages, to Planned Parenthood and to the public health. For example, Texas politicians used the climate of hostility against Planned Parenthood to facilitate elimination of a grant of over $600,000 to Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. The grant money was used by the organization to fund an HIV testing and counseling program intended to reduce the spread of the infection. The money, by the way, was federal, not state. It came from the CDC.

Then there’s the matter of Robert Dear, who was so overcome by righteous outrage that he murdered three people in a Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood Clinic. There was a lot of effort to disconnect his terrorism from the anti-choice cause, but he’s made his motivation clear on more than one occasion—most recently in court:

Planned Parenthood shooting suspect Robert Dear has outbursts at hearing

@Greg: As long as Planned Parenthood is in the abortion business, they should not get one nickel of taxpayer money. Despite your blindness, we see how willing they are to enhance their income with harvesting body parts, even cultivating them to the point of maximum yield. They need to branch their abortion industry off if they want funds.

I can’t help but notice, though, that you have not answered my question. Why does the left support an organization that was founded on racism and racial cleansing? Racism, perhaps? I thought the left had a low tolerance for anything with a racist heritage (well, except for the Democrat party itself).

@Bill, #87:

Despite your blindness, we see how willing they are to enhance their income with harvesting body parts, even cultivating them to the point of maximum yield.

Right. My blindness, and the blindness of eleven states that have independently investigated the claim that “Planned Parenthood sells baby parts for profit” and have all reached the conclusion that those charges have no merit whatsoever.

What a Texas grand jury has concluded is that charges should be filed against the people who created the video. What they can be charged with doesn’t even come close to the level of harm their lies have done.

@Bill: Are you a lawyer–a doctor–a judge.
How can you sit at your computer and make better decisions than a Grand Jury that’s examined the evidence and called witnesses for weeks. Does that make sense Bill?

@Greg:

What a Texas grand jury has concluded is that charges should be filed against the people who created the video. What they can be charged with doesn’t even come close to the level of harm their lies have done.

The eyes and ears don’t lie, Greg. Calling down up does not make it so and just might make you bump your head.

@Rich Wheeler: When dealing with liberals, it makes perfect sense. After all, you believe justice has been served in Fast and Furious, the IRS scandal, Benghazi, VA scandal and the investigations into the money wasted on a failed Obamacare website.

Yeah, I have a far better insight on justice than any liberal, including any in the DOJ. They are about ideology.

What do all of those investigations have in common? A total failure to back up slanderous accusations with evidence. Yet elected officials and media outlets continue to promote the same lies, and their constituents and audiences continue to unquestioningly believe them.

@Bill: What does that have to do with an empaneled Texas Grand Jury?—stick to the subject—you like to rant about irrelevant subjects..
