McCain Rebukes Obama: ‘Get Over Your Temper Tantrum, Mr. President’

Loading

Trey Sanchez:

John McCain (R-AZ) blasted President Obama on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday for his behavior during the reelection of Benjamin Netanyahu and pointed the president to the real threats looming throughout the Middle East.

“There was a free and fair democratic election,” McCain said, “Get over your temper tantrum, Mr. President.”

McCain was referring to the president’s comments to The Huffington Post where he said he wants to “evaluate other options” because of Netanyahu’s campaign promise that a Palestinian state would not happen during his prime ministership. In doing so, Obama believes he can help avoid a “chaotic” Middle East.

Directed at the president, McCain said, “The least of your problems is what Bibi Netanyahu said during an election campaign.” He then listed what Obama should be worried about if he truly wants to abate chaos: Libya, ISIS everywhere, Iran backing Shia militias; Qasem Soleimani, responsible for moving thousands of copper-tipped IEDs into Iraq killing hundreds of American soldiers.

McCain was quick to remind that the president, through it all, has been praising the mullahs and their actions in the region. “This is one of the more Orwellian situations I have ever observed,” McCain said.

But host Gloria Berger was more concerned that McCain leveled the “temper tantrum” accusation at Obama when it is Netanyahu who she said is “rejecting” American policy for Middle East peace.

McCain responded, “Bibi’s rhetoric concerning an election campaign pales in comparison as to the threat — the direct threat — to the United States of America of ISIS. The president has his priorities so screwed up that it’s unbelievable.”

From the same article:

Then Borger asked, “So, you think the president is letting his personal feelings towards Netanyahu get in the way of important policy issues?”

“I am convinced of it,” McCain said. “Either that or he is delusional. I’m not sure which.”

Every now and then, even a slow clock is right.

This might be one of those pot/kettle situations.

“Bibi,” however, deserved more than a wagged finger. He publicly and deliberately disrespected the leader of his nation’s most important ally. WTF did he expect?

@Greg: POT/KETTLE kettle/pot I love crusty old Mac like I love Uncle Joe. The F.A. posters distain for this POW/HERO is overwhelming– he’s constantly being bad mouthed. But like everyone else, if he jumps BHO, he gets a TEMPORARY reprieve. Amusing

Yeah, I generally like John McCain, too.

Around here you should probably be more specific than “Uncle Joe” references. People will accuse you later of endorsing Joseph Stalin.

Obama has a tantrum frequently. He is supposed to be a leader. Leaders do not have tantrums. It is unprofessional and cause mistakes. Obama continues to show he has no leadership capabilities even though he occupies a position that would allow him to easily get by. A good example is all of the things he learned “from the media” or all of the people who were blamed for decisions Obama should have made. (Check the number of people who were thrown under the bus!) He and obviously Rich and Greg believe that by occupying a position makes Obama a leader.

There’s no one that the GOP has had to offer in recent years that I would consider even remotely as qualified to be president as Barack Obama. Given the behavior of Congressional Republicans since Obama’s election, no one on the right should accusing anyone of throwing tantrums.

With Republicans now in control both the House and the Senate, the Congressional approval rating is still only 17.8 percent. It’s now lower than it was before the new Congress took office.

There’s no one that the GOP has had to offer in recent years that I would consider even remotely as qualified to be president as Barack Obama.

Well, duh! Of course none of the GOP candidates appeal to you, you’re a Socialist and our political opposition. The fact that both Greg and Rich are enamored with McCain is telling of just how far left and unelectable McCain was and is. Of course one he was the Republican nominee against Obama the pseudo-“Democrats” turned around and hated him. None of the conservatives here on this conservative blog really give a rat’s patootie whom our resident “democrats” want as candidates for the GOP.

@rich wheeler:

McCain shouldn’t care, he worked hard for it. But the only thing wrong with McCain is that he’s a Dimocrat in RINO clothes.

@Greg:

People will accuse you later of endorsing Joseph Stalin.

Shouldn’t bother Rich.

@Greg:

There’s no one that the GOP has had to offer in recent years that I would consider even remotely as qualified to be president as Barack Obama.

Is that the old Blind Hog finds an acorn once in a while?
Name just one, only one qualification of Obama to be President.

Name just one, only one thing that Obama has accomplished that is good for the US.

@Greg:

With Republicans now in control both the House and the Senate, the Congressional approval rating is still only 17.8 percent. I

That’s approx the average of the Congress rating for the last 20 years. Last year while the Dims had the Senate the appr rating was 11%. Everyone only believes ‘their’ congressmen do a good job,, all the others from the other states are all crap. The only diff, I think almost all from all states need to be replaced.

@Redteam:

Everyone only believes ‘their’ congressmen do a good job,, all the others from the other states are all crap. The only diff, I think almost all from all states need to be replaced.

I must be the exception. I think all of my state’s Senators and Representatives “are all crap” along thinking the overall majority of those from the other states as also fitting that description.

@Redteam: Stalin as well as UNCLE Ioe McCarthy would have blended well with today’s Conservs. like Ted Cruz.LOL

@rich wheeler:

Stalin as well as UNCLE Ioe McCarthy would have blended well with today’s Conservs.

As you well know, Stalin was a communist, which is about where some of our liberals today are. Few conservatives can be put into a communist camp.
Name one person that McCarthy said was a communist that was not a communist? It hasn’t been done by anyone else and I don’t think you’re gonna successfully re-invent the wheel. Libs like to throw out McCarthy’s name because he was unpopular. Yeah, unpopular with the A-holes he was exposing.

Why are you knocking a fellow Marine? Anyhow?

@Redteam: I’ll give Ted props for being a Princeton grad–and a Harvard Law grad.
A Marine he was not. He did not serve. I’d put him in the ChickenHawk coop with Dick Cheney.

@rich wheeler:

A Marine he was not.

Which one of those schools, did you go to that, didn’t teach reading comp? If you re-read my statement it was clearly referring to Joe McCarthy.

@rich wheeler:

I’ll give Ted props for being a Princeton grad–and a Harvard Law grad.

Do you know if he got a foreign student loan at either, either Cuban or Canadian?

Yes, Joe McCarthy had the goods on several Communists, just as the Venona Cables and declassified KGB files revealed, but in the college classes of the 60’s it was pounded into our heads that he was a paranoid maniac. Instead, he was ruined and the mass of Soviet spies in our bureaucracy retired with nice government pensions, while pledging undying loyalty to Stalin.

He couldn’t reveal his sources: Body of Secrets wasn’t published until much later. That poor Marine was maligned for telling the truth; kinda sounds like politics in today’s world.

@Skookum: I just watched a You Tube on McCarthy. Some senator was making a big deal about Cohn’s list of communists working in defense plants and the senator was doing a burlesque about how he should get ‘those communists out before the sun sets tonight’ and McCarthy pointed out that the senator had a lawyer on his staff in that meeting (where US secrets were being discussed) that had been a member of a communist organization and since he was stressing all the urgency to Cohn, perhaps he should tell them why he had insisted that the guy on his staff be in that committee meeting. McCarthy appeared to be a very intelligent person. Too bad the Dimocrats were in control at the time and were not concerned with communists. I may do more watching of McCarthy videos.
Also saw the clip where FDR offered to ‘give Saudi Arabia 6 million Jews”.

@rich wheeler:

I’d put him in the ChickenHawk coop with Dick Cheney.

Other (as you label them,) “ChickenHawks” who didn’t serve but supported war and military action include: Obama, Joseph Biden, Bill and Hillary Clinton as well as Senators: Lincoln (D-AR), Feinstein (D-CA), Dodd (D-CT), Lieberman (D-CT), Carper (D-DE), Nelson (D-FL), Cleland (D-GA), Miller (D-GA), Bayh (D-IN), Harkin (D-IA), Breaux (D-LA), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Kerry (D-MA), Carnahan (D-MO), Baucus (D-MT), Nelson (D-NE), Reid (D-NV), Torricelli (D-NJ), Schumer (D-NY), Edwards (D-NC), Dorgan (D-ND), Hollings (D-SC), Daschle (D-SD), Johnson (D-SD), Cantwell (D-WA), Rockefeller (D-WV), and Kohl (D-WI).

@Ditto: Hillary deserves consideration for the rime she donned a flack jacket and helmet, to run down the runway to avoid sniper fire in Bosnia. Seriously, some of those snipers are good shots and it takes nerves of steel to run in the open, exposed to their fire. Even if I was in good shape like Hillary, I’d be worried running through multiple snipers. That ain’t kidding around, it takes nerves of steel.

@Skookum:

Imaginary hostile fire doesn’t count.

@Ditto: Don’t know about others, but if you’re talking about Max Cleland Ga. He is VietNam Vet, lost both legs and I think, 1 arm to a grenade. I don’t/never did care for his politics.

@Ditto: Max Cleland ?? Best you check that Ditto Kerry?
Maybe you oughta ckeck em all

I “copy and pasted” and missed editing out a couple. My bad.

But that doesn’t change the point that Rich is always eager to call out Republican “ChickenHawks” but in his disdain, leaves out large numbers of Democrats. That’s his bad, yet I wont hold my breath for him to admit his hypocrisy.

@Ditto: First guy I checked—Tom Harkin -Active Duty Navy Pilot. 1967-

@Ditto:

But that doesn’t change the point that Rich is always eager to call out Republican “ChickenHawks”

I’m still checking but I haven’t found where Obozo served in military service. Still checking Indonesia and Kenya. They don’t maintain as good records as US does. Not only can I not find out about his military records, so far no one has been able to come up with any citizenship records either.

@rich wheeler:

To late for me to go back and edit out my unintentional mistakes.

Yet we still notice that you have nothing to say about your own hypocritically telling ‘errors of omission’ in leaving out any mention of Democrat “ChickenHawks” while singling out Republicans. When are you going to man up?

@Ditto:

When are you going to man up?

He isn’t. You ever see any Dimocrats/libs own their mistakes on here. Never. (i think that’s partly because it’s likely not ‘a mistake’ I think it’s likely ‘misinformation’ that they just can’t sell. either that, or they really don’t know the difference.

@Redteam: misinformation–you are the master of distribution RT.
May I assume the reason you never admit to a mistake is because you never make any? Just checking.

@Ditto: Sen. Tom Daschle proudly served in the U.S Air Force.
USMC Capt. and Navy Cross recipient Jim Webb Dem. for POTUS CHECK HIM OUT.

@rich wheeler:

May I assume the reason you never admit to a mistake

Once I thought I was wrong but I was mistaken.
whenever, if ever, you find where you think I’m wrong, just point it out. I realize you haven’t so far because I haven’t been wrong yet. But let me know.

@rich wheeler:

USMC Capt. and Navy Cross recipient Jim Webb

JIm Who? Other than being former Marine, what plus does he possess? None I’m aware of, unless you count creating harems as a plus.

@rich wheeler:I’ll bet that a Dimocrat put together that list of Dimocrats that ditto listed. With that many errors on it, it has to have been a Dim.

@Redteam: Jim Webb devours Conservatives—ask George Allen Jr. derailed on his way to the oval office.. He’d be Repubs worst nightmare. A 2nd Amend. proponent and a TRUE war hero.

I’ve pointed out your falsehoods and fallacies on many occasions.We both know the truth.That’s the rub.

Your #34–That’s funny, but what else can you say?

@rich wheeler:

Jim Webb devours Conservatives

Devours? is he gay? Could that explain his ‘harem’?

TRUE war hero.

as distinguished from what? an UNTRUE war hero? Do you know any of those?

I’ve pointed out your falsehoods and fallacies on many occasions.

I doubt that. Name just one.
