You probably already know that Trump’s legal team announced that Sidney Powell is not a team member. The brief statement leaves unanswered the most important question: “Why?” Absent solid information, speculation leads us either to “This is the beginning of the end” or “This is all part of the plan” — and I’m leaning to the latter.
Events happened with head-spinning speed. On Thursday, Trump’s legal team held a press conference. Rudy Giuliani talked about traditional voter fraud (cemetery voters, faked ballots, etc.); Sidney Powell talked about corrupt, or corruptible, election software, a familiar topic to the State of Texas, NPR, and MSNBC; and Jenna Ellis reminded the press that the conference was not an evidentiary hearing but was, instead, an opening statement.
For over a week, Powell has been making the media rounds, asserting that the system used in several states — Dominion Software, running on Smartmatic machines — originated in Venezuela when Hugo Chávez wanted a system that could cleanly swing elections his way. She spoke about votes being counted abroad, software changes, and vote manipulation over the internet.
While her numbers were breathtaking (Trump “had at least 80 million votes“), Powell’s stated facts tracked available information: Smartmatic came out of Venezuela; in 2007, Smartmatic announced that it was selling its Sequoia Voting Systems to Dominion; the chairman of Smartmatic’s board is a George Soros crony; the system is easily hackable; Georgia’s system was vulnerable; and the data coming out of the swing states shows anomalies that cannot occur naturally. (You can see all the known evidence here.) These facts made Powell’s contentions sound credible.
On Thursday and Friday, there was a public spat between Tucker Carlson and Powell. Carlson claimed that Powell had no evidence and got nasty when he pushed; Powell asserted that she offered evidence, but Tucker got nasty because it wasn’t when he wanted.
This spat put Trump-supporters in the uncomfortable position of choosing between, on the one hand, a lawyer who took on the federal government and proved that its attack on Gen. Michael Flynn was a set-up intended to take down both Flynn and then newly elected President Trump and, on the other hand, a television personality who’s been braver than most in calling out leftism and standing up against his own company’s quisling tendencies. (See also what a warrior for truth Sidney Powell has always been.)
And then this:
The Washington Examiner added the claim that “sources close to the president” say Powell lacks evidence, which explains the distancing. Ask yourself if any “sources close to” Trump has ever been correct. They’re invariably NeverTrumps. It’s possible that this time the source could be correct, but I caution patience.Powell’s response was swift (although it’s been deleted from Twitter):
NEW: Sidney Powell responds:
“I understand today's press release. I will continue to represent #WeThePeople who had their votes for Trump and other Republicans stolen by massive fraud through Dominion and Smartmatic, and we will be filing suit soon…. (1/2)— Kristin Brown (@kristincbrown) November 23, 2020
Michael Flynn, Jr., the general’s son, parlayed some initial information:
He later added background:
That makes sense. If Powell represents the campaign, the government regulates individual donations. If she’s apart from the campaign, things are less constrained.Lin Wood also chimed in, assuring people Powell is still in the game:
Sidney Powell @SidneyPowell1 & I are more alike than we are different.
We are fighting different legal battles for the same clients – We The People.
The People voted overwhelmingly to re-elect @realDonaldTrump.
All interests are aligned.#FightBack https://t.co/WAKCe1Cefz

There are two ways to view all this:
Biden did not remotely get 80 million votes. Trump won in a landslide. No self-respecting American will ever accept the Democrat coup with Biden as an illegitimate non-elected “president”.
It only makes sense for President Trump’s legal team to formally distance themselves from SidneyPowell so that President Trump isn’t directly responsible for the annihilation of his own party. Remember, Sidney warned that it looks like both parties are nearly equally culpable of election fraud since problems with Dominion have been reported for nearly a decade.
But F*ck the rinos anyway.
Powell and Wood are people who want to protect this country and its people.
March 23, 2021; Sidney Powell’s defense in court: No reasonable person would have taken her election fraud claims seriously.
The avalanche of lies Powell publicly told in the course of her defamation campaign against Dominion resulted in permanent damage to their corporate reputation which will likely cost them millions of dollars in lost business. They also contributed to the violence that followed on January 6th. So here she is now, trying to disclaim responsibility by asserting that any reasonable person would have known she was lying.
Powell’s “Motion to Dismiss”.
Hey, she was only expressing her opinion about Dominion. Any reasonable person who listened to what she was saying was free to draw their own opinion.
Remember what happened with Giuliani? He louding proclaimed massive election fraud from every soapbox he could find to stand on, but the moment he was in a real courtroom testifying before a real judge, he suddenly denied the case before the court was about fraud. Once that was over, he was right back to his massive election fraud rants again.
First Rudy Giuliani stated in court that his election lawsuit wasn’t really about election fraud; now Sidney Powell asserts as a defense in a defamation lawsuit that no reasonable person would have believed her election fraud claims.
No comments, I guess. That would require thought about fact that the massive election fraud campaign was nothing but a LIE.
Based on Trump’s massive voter fraud lie—which in Georgia will hopefully result in racketeering charges—the Governor of Georgia has just signed into law massive voter suppression legislation, which includes such absurd measures as making it unlawful to provide food or drink to people waiting in line to vote. That should be helpful, since other measures could be used to keep people in targeted locations standing in line for hours.
Republicans state legislators may have overplayed their hand, in Georgia and elsewhere. They could be headed for a backlash like they’ve never seen before, in the courts and at the polls. Their real intentions are far too obvious, and there’s no election fraud evidence supporting the need for their actions.
10/19/23 – Ex-Trump lawyer Sidney Powell pleads guilty in Georgia election interference case – Powell was one of 19 defendants named in District Attorney Fani Willis’ indictment, which also charged former President Donald Trump.
Trump’s lawyers disowned her.
11/22/2020 – Trump campaign cuts ties with attorney Sidney Powell after bizarre election fraud claims
They are a little busy right now.
DOPE
Figures. News reports are her pleading guilty to some nasty sounding shit. I figured, when we saw the facts, they quietly dumped the phony felonies for a misdemeanor slap on the wrist. All scoreboarding.
Powell has agreed to release the Kraken in court, for whatever it’s worth. Her loony conspiracy theories have already been debunked. Giuliani’s testimony will be a lot more interesting.
They aren’t conspiracy theories when they come true.
None of them “came true”.
The lawyers who defended Powell in the Dominion lawsuit successfully argued that no reasonable person could have believed her theories were factual, hence, she was not personally responsible for any of the financial damages to Dominion that resulted.
FOX News, however, settled with Dominion for $787 million for pushing the same conspiracy theories, when they knew damn well they were crazy.
The Democrat election fraud campaign has been proven beyond any possible dispute.
Were that so, FOX News wouldn’t have handed over $787 million to settle with Dominion. They would have simply presented such proof in court to win the case and save over 3/4 of a billion dollars.
That has nothing to do with it. Fox leadership made a decision to make a contribution to the DNC and it’s fraud campaign.
Are you actually suggesting that the Dominion loss was a deliberate choice by Fox?
Yeah, they chose to capitulate despite the fact that Dominion employees themselves admitted to problems with the software and hardware.
