She has never been hungry, she has never had a blow in life that hasn’t been softened by her status and her position. Did she do anything to earn her position? Sure she was diagnosed with an illness but received the best care the world had to offer. What insights does her experience give her about the millions of people diagnosed with an illness who can’t afford treatment? Sure she lived in a basement apartment with her husband, but they didn’t work to support themselves. They sold off stock he inherited. I’m sure it’s much easier to get through school when you don’t have to worry about working 30 hours a week in addition to your full time studying.

She and her husband are completely out of touch with the average people they want to lead. It’s not a matter of coming from the bottom and working their way to the top. These people have never had a foot touch a bare floor so to speak. They crawled on gold and now they walk on it. They want to lead people who are going through on of the worst economic periods in the country’s history but they have no idea what we’re facing. A hard ship to this woman is not having the spare cash to entertain. That is the most uncomfortable she has ever been, not having enough cash to entertain her friends. What insights do they have about what it’s like for a single mom to go hungry so she can pay the rent and feed her kids? What does she know about having to go to a food bank or request charitable help for medical bills? Hardship for a Romney is not being able to buy enough cheese and wine to share.

“Obviously a spoiled, rich, white woman who never worked a day in her life”

Maybe someone should explain the function of quotation marks to the people at Liberal Logic. Specifically, they mean that you’re directly quoting someone.

Seeing (Yes, they are that stupid) under their website name on each and every propaganda poster they turn out is a helpful message, at least.

But Sarah Palin SHOULD have stayed home with HER five children!
Doesn’t such cognitive dissonance give liberals headaches?

@Kendall Jackson: I do believe Romney’s father died in 1995 and left him funds, which was then donated to a school which Brigham Young University established in his father’s honor. As Romney had already led Bain Capital for more than ten years, it doesn’t seem likely he needed to ‘sell off stock’ to provide for his family.

Let’s just stick to facts when presenting an argument.

HEY KENDALL,

Can we apply the same logic to any of the Kennedy’s? Or should I say most of them.

I guess Moochelle’s $316K do-nothing job in Chicago qualifies her to be “in touch” with the mere commoners and serfs she wants to dictate to.

Another vacation, Mooch!!!

@AlabamaPatriot: When she moves back to Chicago next January, she can start hating white America again. I heard she lost her lawyer’s license due to an insurance scam. Where’s the Pravda press on this allegation?

Liberal Logic…. an oxymoron of the first magnitude.
This whole notion of having to “walk a mile in the other guy’s shoes” before you can understand him is dubious at best. By that sort of reasoning, no black polititian is qualified to represent whites or vice versa. Personally, I’d rather see a rich guy in office…shows common sense, and doesn’t need bribes.

@Jim S, #8:

By the standards of most American voters, we already have a rich guy in the White House. He has pointed that out himself on numerous occasion, when arguing that the wealthy should be paying taxes at higher rates than the average American worker.

The question is whether we want to replace a working President who earned $789,674 last year and paid taxes at a rate of 20.4 percent with another guy who earned over $20,000,000, paid taxes at a rate of 15.4 percent, claims to be unemployed, and believes his tax rate should be lower still.

@Greg:

Frankly, I’d replace the current president with Romney’s dog. I don’t consider taxing income again (capitol gains) that’s already been taxed once or more already as being remotely fair. Make capitol gains non-taxable and well see trillions come back from overseas.

@Greg: A working President? Playing golf is hardly work. Vacations are hardly work. Why should folks pay a higher RATE when they make more income? That’s not FAIR. Fair would be everyone paying the same rate. Then maybe some folks would pay attention as they finally have skin in the game.

@Jim S:

For what it’s worth, and little in this discussion has been worth much of anything, your comment about race is logically and legally sound despite having meant it as a joke. A white politician would not be seen as an ideal representative of black people. In subgroups, such as African-Americans, in which members tend to vote cohesively, they should be represented by an individual from their subgroup. This is why there is cause for investigation in districts made up predominately of one racial group but represented by another. I believe this notion was established by the Rehnquist court but cannot recall the case. Of course, in a presidential race such a demand for ideal representation for each individual is infinitely impossible so we do the best we can, in theory at least. In case I’ve managed to lose you along the way, your comment about blacks representing whites and vice versa is really a sound argument even if you meant to sound foolish. Not to be too passive-aggressive but I suppose that makes you sound rather foolish instead. 😉

@Kendall Jackson:

To paraphrase you: “Waaaaaaaaah. Someone has it better than me. Waaaaaaah. It’s not fair!”

If you voted for John Kerry, then just shut up.
