Dr. K’s comments about Obama’s thinking he can come along later and fix each sector of our economy ruined by his taking us all over the cliff reminded me of one of Obama’s other major economic faulty assumptions.
Remember how he used a graph to sell the country on his original stimulus plan?
His original graph proved he stupidly thought our economy would get better before his re-election campaign all by itself!
Look at it and see.
http://www.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/stimulus-vs-unemployment-may-corrected.gif
Forget the ”actual unemployment data,” for the moment.
Look at the two lines the Obama Administration claimed were our two futures: the dark blue (with the stimulus money) and the light blue (without it).
Had either case been accurate we would have reached 6% unemployment by the full-swing of the re-election campaign.

Obama is wrong about economics all the time.
Whether or not Republicans stick to their guns on tax RATES is beside the point.
Obama’s huge spending spree is what is killing this country.

(At least Obama managed to call off his dogs in the Longshoremen’s unions!)

they should leave him with what he own that is the many trillions debt
now they start to tell to THE PEOPLE ,IF THEY CAN SELL MANY FEDERAL ASSETS IT WOULD PAY FOR THE DEBT,
MEANING OBAMA IS THE ONE WITH SPENDING SPREE AND HE WANT TO REPAY HIS FAILURE BY SELLING FEDERALS ASSETS, HE THINK HE OWN THEM,
AND YOU KNOW WHO HAS THE MONEY TO BUY, THE CHINESE WILL BUY ANYTHING FROM AMERICA,
HEY NOT TO WORRY,
TRAINS FOR SALES, BIG LANDS WITH GOLD MINES, PROPERTY EMPTY ALL BELONG TO FEDERALS
IS OBAMA HAS THE RIGHT TO SELL AMERICA ABROAD? IF NOT HE HAS NO PRIDE TO WANT IT,
BUT IT BELONG TO THE PEOPLE, NOT OBAMA

Krauthammer:

“He’s been using this, and I must say with great skill–-and ruthless skill and success–to fracture and basically shatter the Republican opposition… His objective from the very beginning was to break the will of the Republicans in the House, and to create an internal civil war. And he’s done that.”

Obama didn’t create any “internal civil war.” The GOP is coming unglued all on it’s own. Over the past few years the GOP has turned into a coalition of special interests, each of which is more interested in furthering its own narrow agenda than in furthering any central, unifying principles that they all hold in common.

The one thing that held them all together was their collective desire to see someone other than Barack Obama in the White House. Having failed to accomplish that, what they’re left with are their differences, and their unwillingness to entertain compromise–even among themselves.

GREG
as usual you’re killing the MESSENGER,
YOUR CREDIBILITY IS GONE IN THE TRASH YOU GAVE JUST NOW.

@ilovebeeswarzone: IlOvEbEeSwArZoNe
I think you are right. The problem with the GOP is that they just couldn’t (or didn’t) pick the right candidate, one that most Repubs could stand behind. But since the Dems stole the election with Dead Voters, I’m not sure anything would have changed the results.

Redteam he was so sure of winning, he had the GOOGLE EXPERTS using science of some kind to check in all the cracks, on all the ones working for him, on all the laptops people reporting, and calling the voters
taking notes reporting to the sciense center hidden down below that big unit,
he had 4000 unions guys only for some special tasks, he had voting boots changing the name ROMNEY TO OBAMA ON A PUSH BUTTON,
i WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A CLOSE ELECTION LIKE IT WOULD HAVE REQUIRED A RECOUNT STRICKLY MONITOR, BUT ROMNEY GAVE UP ON THAT RIGHT.
YES HE WAS SURE TO WIN WITH BILLIONS OF DOLLAR TO PAY IT,
A BIG SPENDER NO LIMITS, AND THE WHOLE MAFIA CHECKING THEIR INTEREST RETURN.
YOU HAVE THE RIGHT IDEA, ROMNEY HAD NO CHANCES, WITH THE DEVIL
BYE

The current republican-majority House has proved to be genuinely worse than useless. They didn’t even tend to the most routine business this past year, such as getting a farm bill passed. Remember that in a few weeks, when you see milk at the grocery with a price tag of over $7 per gallon.

GREG
FOX NEWS MENTIONED IT BUT IT WAS BLAMING OBAMA FOR IT,
NOT THE REPUBLICANS, WHO MUST HAVE PASS IT AND REFUSED BY THE DEMOCRATS.

@Greg: The Senate and House remain far apart on the issues of food stamps and crop subsidies.
The House wants Food Stamps cut….SNAP.
Obama seems to want EVERYBODY on them!
There’s the hold up!

@Greg: Well, the issue I have with your description is that it seems to describe the Democrats rather than the GOP. My perception of the Dems is . . .
“Obama didn’t create any “internal civil war.” The [Dems] is coming unglued all on it’s own. Over the past few years the [Dems] has turned into a coalition of special interests, each of which is more interested in furthering its own narrow agenda than in furthering any central, unifying principles that they all hold in common.” Yup. The Democratic party, to a tee. So how can you and I see this so differently?

I would only hold that the Dems don’t seem to have any agenda at all, even a narrow one. They have metastasized and seem to only exist to . . . to . . . well, I don’t know. They weaved every disparate group together by fostering cultural hatred. Hate the rich? Are you serious? They exploit the poor, under-educated, and over-educated/under-experienced. Just because they’ve wooed the majority by using Keeping Up With the Kardashian-like marketing techniques doesn’t justify one fragment of their . . . um, “agenda” (and can anyone tell me what that is?).

So where does that leave us? I simply don’t know why the Dems exist beyond spreading like a cancer.

My thoughts are that we’ve been overrun by Lewis’ “Men[Women] Without Chests”. The Dems stand for nothing beyond cheap sentiments that can’t last the day.

They effectively demonized the “right” and galvanized lots of disparate groups under one banner of ignorance (LGBT and African-Americans? Shall we even dare the bring that up? Doesn’t matter: all the groups believe their own agendas are being served, so they give away their voices to the Dem “party.”)

Here comes the exploitation bus, ya’ll! Climb onboard and leave your brain on the curb. This making of the GOP into the master straw-man is, to put it lightly, EVIL.

No, the GOP at least stands for something, and is the only party that dares to lead the people rather than follow the plebeians. I’m glad congress clipped Obama’s wings, and I hope they continue to do so.

Sorry, but the push to exterminate the GOP is what scares the hell out of me. If the Dems were open-minded and truly progressive, they would understand how dangerous this is. Strangely, the Dem party isn’t truly progressive, or liberal. It’s prepackaged angst du jor, served up to exploit the oppressed.

No one is defending the Dems, just attacking the GOP. Does that sound logical to anyone? Yes, like a Logical Fallacy.

@Greg: Oh, and the idea that everyone within a party is supposed to put aside their constituencies’ wishes and all vote for the same thing, in order to see the party “win” rather than serve the will of the people, is call “tyranny,” as opposed to democracy. The idea that the Dem party is unified is a farce. A party that can be wrapped up in a bow by a political no-name lightweight groomed to be a demagogue ain’t strong . . . it’s compromised, and hardly the kind of party we need in this country. I’m waiting for a real leader to emerge in the Dem party who will have the guts to tear down the phonies like Obama and rebuild the party fresh. They’d also be worthy of my voting consideration. They have to earn it, just like the GOP does. They can’t ride off of pop-culture trends and continue to run the country into the ground.

It isn’t the Democratic Party that wants to reduce or eliminate the food stamp entitlements of those who can’t afford enough to eat—the staggering sum of around $4.30 per day each, for the entitled elderly and the disabled. Republicans apparently feel compelled to do that, while simultaneously protecting low tax rates for the wealthiest.

Nor is it the Democratic Party that wants to terminate unemployment compensation for those who have been unemployed the longest, while simultaneously persisting in their refusal to consider fiscal compromise. Most economists predict this will plunge the nation into a second recession, which will only make job prospects for those same people even worse.

I used to wonder what congressional republicans could possibly be thinking. I’m now beginning to suspect that they may not think at all.

Greg, the SNAP program (the “S” stands for SUPPLEMENTAL) has ballooned into the Middle Class under Obama.
No One is interested in “reduce or eliminate the food stamp entitlements of those who can’t afford enough to eat,” as you put it.
The Republicans simply want the program pared back from almost 50,000,000 recipients to only those who truly cannot afford enough to eat without it.
Obama and the Dems in the Senate won’t even pare back the RATE of GROWTH in the SNAP program!
Keep that rate up only a few more years and more than 75% of the nation will be getting SNAP before long!

GREG
THE REPUBLICANS HAVE A BIGGER VIEW OF AMERICA,
THEY SEE IT AS A WHOLE NATION COMPOSE OF MANY GOOD PEOPLE,
WHO SEEK THE AMERICAN DREAM, NOT ONLY A HALF OF THE NATION,
AS OPPOSE TO THE DEMOCRATS WHO SERVE ONLY THOSE WHO THEY HAVE MADE TO BELIEVE
DEPEND ON THEM, EVEN IF IT’S A LIE, IT IS A DANGEROUS LIE TO HAVE THE RECIPIENTS OF GOVERNMENT MONEY TO THINK IT COME FROM THE ELECTED POCKETS, ON THE CONTRARY, THE MORE ELECTED, THE MORE THEY HIRE TO DO THEIR OWN JOBS, TO SEARCH WHAT SHOULD BE SO SIMPLE FOR THEM TO LEAD, WHICH IS CONTAINED IN THE CONSTITUTION ,THE BILL OF RIGHTS THE COMMERCE CLAUSE,
THAT’S WHAT THE REPUBLICANS ARE NEEDED TO WORK IN THE GOVERNING
OF THIS GREAT NATION, NO MORE NO LESS, AS SIMPLE AS THAT,
BUT THE DEMOCRATS WITH OBAMA ARE PILING UP ON THOSE SIMPLE EFFECTIVE RULES OF AN AMERICA WHICH SURVIVE SO MANY ATTACKS AND PREVAILED,, BUT NOW THE DEMOCRATS ARE FINDING THE WAY TO PREVENT THE FREEDOM TO AMERICANS, THE LEADER IS SOLD TO FOREIGNER DIFFERENT MINDSET WHICH ONLY ARE HURTING THE PEOPLE THAT IS BECAUSE THEY WANT POWER OVER THE PEOPLE ,NOT FREEDOM, THEY ARE WICKED AND ONLY THERE TO TORMENT THE PEOPLE THEY FEAR, THE PEOPLE WHO CAN GET THEM DEFEATED,,THEY CAN THROW THEM OUT
AS FAST IN ONLY ONE DAY, BUT THE PEOPLE OBEY THEIR LAWS RELIGIOUSLY AND ARE TOLERANT BECAUSE THOSE LAW HAVE MADE AMERICA THE STRONGEST IN THE WORLD,
AND THEY KNOW IT WILL PREVAIL,
BUT THOSE WHO HAVE SEEK HARD TO DESTROY AMERICA AS SHE REALY IS, WILL ONE DAY BE SUBMIT TO THE PEOPLE JUSTICE, AND WON’T BE ABLE TO HIDE FROM IT. THEY WILL BE PUNISH FOR HAVING HURT THE TOLERANT AMERICANS WHICH ARE THE MIGHTY GIANT WHO LOVE AMERICA THE MOST

@Greg: You dodged the questions, while throwing up some choice proofs without presenting the reasons for why the Reps support them. You are parroting media propaganda points, not offering sound analysis of you own. Second recession? Buddy, we’re still in the first one.

And why does this have to be an “us or them” war, anyway? Oh, because that was the only way for a political no-name to win an election.

You’re being melodramatic, and I can’t understand why you post here. It only validates the views of those who oppose the Dem Party’s current “priorities.” I appreciate other views, but I don’t think that’s what you are offering. When pressed, your points lack any veracity.

I’ve opposed the Dems for awhile now, though I’m a Moderate. I frequently second-guess myself concerning what I interpret the Dems views and logical fallacies to be, saying to myself “I’m reading into this . . . it can’t be what they think.” Then you and Lib1 post something, and I say “Apparently they do.”

When pressed, you vomit out an MSNBC-worthy diatribe light on facts or data analysis. The reason I stopped self-identifying as a Liberal was due to fact that I could not have a discussion with fellow liberals–there are “right” and “wrong” ways to talk about and view virtually every subject. Dialog and the objective analysis of events was taboo, though everyone pretends to be enlightened. I don’t agree with everything on the Conservative side, but that’s part of Democracy–you don’t drink the Kool Aid, but rather hold fast to what you believe and expect your representatives to represent the people.

The Reps at least seem to view things as having intrinsic value, while the Dems hold everything in relativistic terms. (the ones in power, that is; Some Dems are better than this. See Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, a Dem I would support for President in a heartbeat).

In summary, I think too many people are riding the Dem train down into the abyss, all the while thinking that they are standing up for the oppressed and the abused. That’s simply not the case, and the sooner we get the political hacks like Holder, Obama, Reid, and Pelosi away from real authority, the better.

Nathan Blue
hi,
ONE PERSON, I don’t have his name right now, but he came here last year to tell how angry he was at the DEMOCRATS, HE OWN BIG HOTELS IN AND OUT OF AMERICA, HE CALLED A WOMAN HE KNEW ELECTED,
TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT SOME RULES HURTING HIS COMPANY,
SHE SAID DON’T CALL ME ANYMORE, I CANNOT HELP YOU AND NANCY PELOSY WOULD PUNISH ME IF I WOULD TELL YOU, THEY HAVE A WAY TO HURT YOU IF YOU GET OUT OF TELLING THINGS TO OUTSIDERS,
DON’T CALL ME AGAIN.
HE WAS SO MAD ABOUT IT, AND TO SEE HOW THEY ARE A BUNCH OF LEMMING COVERING ANYTHING OBAMA FAIL ON,
ADDING MORE ,THIS VERY RICH MAN WAS TALKING FOR
ELECTING MITT ROMNEY BEFORE THE NOVEMBER ELECTION,
I WAS SURPRISED BECAUSE HE SAID BEFORE WHEN HE CAME HERE THAT HE WAS A DEMOCRAT,

I just heard a good one from a wall street smart one
he said the wind energy is well loved by the democrats it’s because
they are dems full of air themselves,
but it doesn’t work, it’s too costly not feaseble
we also know it kill millions of birds
and the DEMS are trying to deny it,
EVEN IF IT’S IN THEIR FACES

@ilovebeeswarzone: This is less about Dem vs. Rep, but rather about radical changes to the political system being thrust violently by . . . well, radicals. There’s a place for radicals, reactionaries, and everything in between. When one of those takes over? Not good.

Nathan blue
yes, like radical entitelments on PEOPLE, RADICAL SPENDING SPREES,
RADICAL AVOIDING THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO ANSWER HELP 17 TIMES DEMANDS, FROM THE DIPLOMATS IN DANGEROUS COUNTRIES OF HATERS, ENDING UP IN DEAD HEROES.
RADICAL CAMPAIGNS TELLING THE IGNORANTS TO VOTE FOR REVENGE, AND THE LIST GOES ON
YES I agree it’s about the most radcal party in power scary enough to silent their own members.
from exposing the leadership radical decisions,
and they DARE TO indoctrinate the people to think the CONSERVATIVES ARE RADICAL
bye

the liberals talking heads still want to blame the REPUBLICANS,
THAT IS MORE IMPORTANT TO THEM THAN THE PEOPLE’S INTERESTS IN THE FISCAL CLIFF APROCHING
THEIR LIBS MENTALITY IS SO VAIN AND SELFISH, WHY DO THEY GET PEOPLE TO VOTE THEM IN IS MIND BOGLING TO THIS DAY, THEY SHOULD KNOW THE LIBS DON’T GIVE A THOUGHT ABOUT THE PEOPLE BEST INTEREST,

I have to ask you to see that movie, on TURNER TV CHANNEL
7 DAYS IN MAY, OLD MOVIE, BURT LANCASTER, KURK DOUGLAS, AVA GARDNER,

MORE GOOD OLD ACTORS
oh boy, they just sink the GERMAN BOAT,
THERE IS ACTION IN THERE,

@Nathan Blue:

The really ironic part in all of Obama’s class warfare is who is it going to hurt. Those who make an AGI of $250K or less are actually middle class in the two largest states that went for Obama; California and New York. Hell, a guy making an AGI of $249,000 could move to Houston and take almost $100K/yr cut in pay and not be hit by Obamatax and still have the quality of living he did at a higher wage in California or New York.

Gotta love it. The law of unintended consequences is going to bite the Coasters right square in the tush.

IT DOESN’T LOOK GOOD AT ALL.
DID YOU NOTICE IN THE STORES, THE ONLY ONE SPENDING ARE THOSE
WHO HAVE THE SECURITY OF MONEY COMING EVERY MONTHS
THAT IS THE POOREST PEOPLE ON WELFARE CHECKS SECURE EVERY MONTHS,
NOT THE BUSYNESS WHO ARE THE LESS SECURE OF THE NATION, THEY MUST BE CAREFUL
OF HOW THEY SPEND THEIR MONEY,
AND THOSE WHO WORK HAVE A BIG EXPANSE EXTRA BECAUSE THEY WORK LIKE THEIR LOOK
MUST BE PRESENTABLE WITH NICE CLOTHES AND SHOES AND COAT TO NOT LOOK BAD AND THEIR TRANSPORTATION WHICH EVER IT IS, BUT THE WELFARE HAVE NOT THOSE EXTRA TO NEED,
