President Obama is being quoted on Flynn, saying "There is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free." It is a curious statement. First and foremost, Flynn was not charged with perjury… https://t.co/fWlSFWkp8S

Second, we now know Obama discussed charging Flynn under the Logan Act which has never been used successfully to convict anyone and is flagrantly unconstitutional. Third, this reaffirms reports that Obama was personally invested in this effort. Finally, there is precedent…

There is a specific rule allowing for this motion under Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 48(a). There are specific Supreme Court cases like Rinaldi v. United States addressing the standard for such dismissals….

The Justice Department has dismissed cases in the past including the Stevens case.That was requested by President Obama's own Attorney General Eric Holder for the same reason: misconduct by prosecutors. It was done before the same judge, Judge Sullivan. How is that for precedent?

Ouch!
Three and a half years out of office, and people are still trying to pull down Obama’s approval rating…
@Greg: Obama was a criminal and needs to be brought to justice. He destroyed the reputation of the DOJ, FBI, IC, IRS (what there was of it) and almost the United States itself. He proved himself to be trashy, lying scum.
The only interest people like Obama have in the Constitution is how to trample it and get away with it.
After 2024, it will be interesting to see how quickly you sore loser crybabies can let go of Trump.
@Greg: These obama comments aren’t three years old. They were from a day or so ago. obama should have consulted with his wing man.
@Greg:
This is all you have? No argument against Johnathan Turley’s assessment, no counterpoint, no factual recounting, no engagement, just some bullshit whine about how this might damage Obama’s approval rating 3.5 years down the line. Greg, you are fucking pathetic.
@Greg:
Well, Trump pulled down all of his paltry “accomplishments”, so we’re just glad the attempt at manufacturing a faux political icon failed.
All you can offer is finger-banging Joe? Pathetic.
