Jesse Ventura open to playing second banana on Trump ticket

Two narcissistic egolomaniacs:

Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura suggested Tuesday that he’d be glad to be Donald Trump’s running mate.

“Do you think Donald would ever think of asking me?” Ventura said during an interview on his “Off the Grid” show with former Trump adviser Roger Stone .

Ventura said he’d support Trump for the GOP presidential nomination.

“I shocked my staff today,” Ventura said. “I came in and said, ‘You know what, as far as the Republicans are concerned, I hope Trump wins.’”

“I’m not a Republican – I’m not a Democrat either – so ultimately I’d like somebody else overall,” the former WWE wrestler added.

In his endorsement, Ventura cited Trump’s ability to frustrate the influence of political parties and the mainstream media.

Carl Icahn is who Trump specified as his man in charge of policy regarding China and Japan.
What would he want (or be able to get) from an alliance with James George Janos AKA Jesse Ventura?

@Nanny G: Ya gotta love it Trump/ Ventura 3rd Party run
Sarah Palin Sec of Defense
Sean Hannity Sec of State
Carl Icahn Sec Of Tteasury
Rush Press Sec.

Sheriff Joe Attorney General

@Richard Wheeler: And they’d still be more competent than what we have in there now.

@another vet: Ya think? Scary thought. You like that Trump/ Ventura ticket–couple of windbags,
I see Rubio /Kasich coming out of this with a great chance of winning—unless DT third party

There’s a rumor afloat that Bernie Sanders would pick Debbie Wassermann-Schultz as his running mate.

I wouldn’t pick Ventura, and I think it’s wishful thinking on his part. So far Ventura is the only one who has put forth the suggestion of himself as VP and some internet blogs have run with it. Frankly, I think that Trump would have fired Ventura if he was on The Apprentice. I wouldn’t buy a used Hummer from Ventura.

At least Trump is likable and speaks his mind. I also think that Trump is a fairly straight shooter. I can’t say the same for Ventura. No, I don’t see a Trump/Ventura ticket as anything more than a Ventura wet dream. I think that Trump would be much more sensible and select someone like Cruz or Walker.

Come to think of it, a shrewd VP decision for Trump could be for him to select Rand Paul.

@Richard Wheeler: I am actually all for it. They can invite Rosie O’Donnell to the WH for an hour each week. The three of them can sit around and interact. It should make for some interesting conversation. Trump and Rosie can exchange insults and Rosie and Ventura can share their 9/11 Truther conspiracies. They can show it on Prime Time and call it, The Nuthouse in the Whitehouse Hour. Maybe they can even have featured guests each week like Keith Olbermann, Moonbeam Brown, Shelia Jackson Lee, Chris “Tingles” Matthews, and other assorted nuts and fools.

Given the way the country is going down the tubes, we may as well at least get some entertainment value out of it.

@another vet: I like it. The Nuthouse in the Whitehouse Hour.
What I find interesting is an outwardly sane Ditto finds Trump “likeable.” Are there others like him amongst us?
Trump’s appeal is to the mad as hell Tea Partiers who feel let down by the new Repub. majority in The House–understandable. This support is built on sand–and I believe will shift to a real and more statesmanlike Conservative–Ted Cruz .I think in the long run the establishment Repubs led by Rubio and Kasich–a winning electoral combo will prevail—If not, Dr. Carson will pick up the pieces–paired with Fiorina a formidable pair.
In the meantime Trump is ending the hopes of Bush, Walker, Christie ,Paul, Perry one at a time.

@Richard Wheeler: I actually think part of what Trump is doing is making a mockery of our political process and who we elect. I really can’t fault him for that. We keep putting the same bunch of self centered jokers and crooks in there expecting different results. As you know I live in Illinois and the same buffoons who put the state into so much debt keep on getting re-elected and the people complain about it. Now we have a governor who is trying to fix that (and who has stayed out of jail so far) and the people are siding with the same group of buffoons who caused the problem.

Oh? Are you completely unaware of the concept of the “lovable curmudgeon”? A curmudgeon is especially liked when they speak truth to power and when they reflect the opinions of much of their audience. Nor does this mean that those who appreciate the cranky cuss have to agree with everything that person has to say.
