DNC honors US vets with images of Russian ships

Loading

On the last night of the Democratic National Convention, a retired Navy four-star took the stage to pay tribute to veterans. Behind him, on a giant screen, the image of four hulking warships reinforced his patriotic message.

While retired Adm. John Nathman, a former commander of Fleet Forces Command, honored vets as America’s best, the ships from the Russian Federation Navy were arrayed like sentinels on the big screen above.

These were the very Soviet-era combatants that Nathman and Cold Warriors like him had once squared off against.

“The ships are definitely Russian,” said noted naval author Norman Polmar after reviewing hi-resolution photos from the event. “There’s no question of that in my mind.”

Naval experts concluded the background was a photo composite of Russian ships that were overflown by what appear to be U.S. trainer jets. It remains unclear how or why the Democratic Party used what’s believed to be images of the Russian Black Sea Fleet at their convention.

A spokesman for the Democratic National Convention Committee was not able to immediately comment Tuesday, saying he had to track down personnel to find out what had happened.

Disgusting demacrats all too willing to allow a bunch of radicals at their little convention and flag burning scumbags but no honor for those who defend this nation from the very crinimals,thugs,terrorists,,child molesters and rapists they call Future Demacratic Voters

quite obvious that the iterate Nathman never previewed his lecture or background. one thing a lecturer does is screen and re-screen his or her power point no matter how many times it is presented-up dates and delegations are necessary to deliver a great lecture.
the average American male can not see past the base of his penis-typical for demorat males also.

You just gotta wonder. You just gotta.

You know, if I wanted a backdrop of US Navy vessels, I would google USS Harry S. Truman (for the Demo convention, at least). Apparently, these people are idiots.

This is how much thought and effort the Democrats give to our military. Oh, sure, it’s great to have a military leader to use as a prop, trying to show how much the military supports the Democrats. Just pull up the first photo you have on your laptop of boats and we’ll use that. Like liberals wearing Che t-shirts, it just happens to be Russian ships. None of our members are smart enough to figure it out and our media would never reveal such an embarrassing mistake. Who gives a shit?

What an absolute joke. I’m sure Trump is responsible.

You can’t make this stuff up even you tried.

To be fair, this happened in 2012, not 2016.

DJ IS THAT A PROPER CORRECTION from RT??

Lord Have Mercy

Should not matter when it was. The DNC knows their supporters are so ignorant they will believe anything. Just read some of the posts here written by lefties!

@Richard Wheeler: Why didn’t the media cover such an idiotic mistake in 2012?

Oh…. that’s right.

@Richard Wheeler: What? you question me? Even Snopes checked that out. But the real question of the day: What is it about the American flag that the DNC doesn’t like. While the Republican stage on opening night had over one hundred American flags, the DNC did not have even one. They quickly ate a few crows and put up 8 before night 2. But their true values were displayed on night one. Did your Marine Corps unit fly an American flag RW? (actually I know the answer to that) but I just can’t figure out why you no longer support American Organizations.

@Bill: Actually they did, I read about it back then

@Redteam: Good catch.
The Repub Convention the most negative I’ve seen in 64 years–Seen most all since 52—in V.N 68.
Don’t think the negative, divisive approach can win.

@Richard Wheeler: Describing the Obama administration’s record and Hillary’s lies and failures is a journey through negativity. However, Trump clearly contrasted his positive and successful vision of America.

But then, the DNC has been nothing but compliments, hasn’t it? At least the Republicans didn’t have to lie to be negative. At least the Republicans didn’t exhibit a celebration of cop hatred. At least the Republicans didn’t have to overtly ignore the greatest terror threat all around the world…. which they actually created… in order to keep from taking responsibility for the disaster. At least the Republicans didn’t have to hope no one would recognize that they celebrate the wonderful success of the past 8 years while simultaneously claiming to be the only people that can turn around the hatred, stagnant wages, zero growth, dismal future…. that they just got through claiming didn’t exist.

Hell, Obama even claimed Hillary was more qualified to be President than HIM… confirming he was lying in 2008… or now. It is amazing what arrogant people will say when they have 100% confidence no one will pay attention to what they say and hold them accountable.

@Redteam: My brother-in-law said this was big talk at work this morning so this is the first some people (myself included) heard about it.

@Richard Wheeler:

Don’t think the negative, divisive approach can win.

Obama got re-elected as one of the most divisive Presidents in history. Ditto for Nixon although he actually had positive accomplishments he could point to.

@another vet: Obama may have ben devisive in your mind but not in mine or the majority of the American voters—all that mattered.
Nixon’s paranoia was his downfall.
Trump is a divider and proud of it—he won’t win in spite of an extremely weak opponent. Biden would have beaten him fairly easily.

@Richard Wheeler:

Obama may have ben devisive in your mind but not in mine

I suppose since you weren’t referred to as the enemy or demonized for your beliefs for all these years you wouldn’t view him as divisive. You have certainly fawned over him more than once. Just because he won re-election doesn’t mean he wasn’t divisive. If I voted for him because he gave me a bunch of free shit that doesn’t mean he isn’t divisive. Just to clarify some numbers. I guess the majority of Americans who believe race relations have gotten worse under his administration is a clear example of his lack of divisiveness. And his poll numbers which have fluctuated between the low 40’s and 50% aren’t indicative of his divisiveness either. Neither is the 70% of Americans believing the country is headed in the wrong direction. Anyone who believes Obama is not divisive is living in an alternate state of reality.

@another vet: Thought HRC gave an outstanding speech and clarified the differences between her as a Dem and Donald who has brought the Repub.Party to a new low–wouldn’t you agree?
I respect guys like Kasich ,Cruz and Rubio who refuse to back him.

BTW since 1960 I’ve bet the Presidency 14 times–12-2 missing in 68 and 2000.
Believe HRC will beat Trump

@Richard Wheeler: I didn’t listen to Trump’s speech or Hillary’s speech and I never listened to any of Obama’s speeches. I wouldn’t believe anything that comes out of her criminal, lying mouth anyhow. How low has your party stooped in nominating someone who intentionally broke the law and jeopardized national security for personal gain? Your post sounds like an endorsement. We all figured you’d eventually come around to being a supporter.

@another vet: HRC will beat Trump.
I’m voting for Clifton Roberts–The Humane Party.

Actually it’s your Party OF Lincoln that should feel the shame of falling into the abyss of A DT standard bearer

@Richard Wheeler:

BTW since 1960 I’ve bet the Presidency 14 times–12-2 missing in 68 and 2000.

You also predicted Trump would be toast after the Florida and Texas primaries. You also touted Webb as the next POTUS. You also predicted a contested Republican Convention that would deny Trump the nomination. This year, you’ve missed on some big predictions like a lot of other pundits.

@another vet: The Dem. Convention was about inclusion and a positive vision of America.
The Repub. Convention was about Trump and a negative vision of America.

I’ll take curtain #1 for $100.

Demacrats show picture of Borg cube ship approaching I REFUSE TO BE ASSIMULATED

@Richard Wheeler: The Democrats split everyone up into victim-groups and pit them against each other. Then they preach to each group that they are going to protect them and punish the others.

But when they make a big speech to all, it is all about love and unity, but each victim group thinks they are speaking exclusively to them.

The DNC put on one of the most comprehensive examples of everything that is currently wrong with America. Racism, corruption, hatred, lies are all celebrated and promoted while those very evils are falsely projected onto their opponents.

The DNC puts their token military leader on display and he is heckled with chants of “no more war”. They trot out a token cop for a moment of silence for fallen officers, which is interrupted with “Black Lives Matter” chants. Instead of celebrating cops, the DNC celebrates dead thugs, not a single one dead due to racism, as they love to accuse.

The entire Democrat agenda is based on lies, racism and victimhood.

@Bill: Sounds like you’re jealous of the Dem show.
It’s gotta be embarrassing—Trump?? his kids and architect wife?

@Richard Wheeler:

The Dem. Convention was about inclusion and a positive vision of America.

Glad you’ve endorsed HRC for POTUS. I think she’ll be just as dividing as Obama has been and will continue with his failed policies. The dems promised to keep things the same. The Republicans say change is needed. 70% of Americans believe the country is on the wrong track, 23% believe it is on the right track. Obviously you are part of 23% who believe everything is on the right track. I happen to be part of the 70%. Seven years into the “great recovery” and last quarter’s GDP came in at a booming 1.2%. Q1 was revised to .8%. Very positive. But then again, if you like recessions because they provide the opportunity to get as many people on the welfare rolls as possible in order to expand the party’s base, I suppose that is very positive news.

@another vet: Re my endorsement see #19
You’re the guy whose gotta hold his nose in the voting booth. No?

@Richard Wheeler:Let’s look at your track record. You told us you were giving serious consideration to voting for Romney in 2012. Yet you said nothing to Greg about his bigoted anti-Mormon slurs and even snickered at one or two of them. When it was all said and done you proudly voted for Obama and have blindly followed him. You have come here blasting Trump supporters but haven’t said squat to the Hillary supporters. You’ve given Obama a free pass for everything even though he lied about Benghazi and Obamacare (amongst other things). You just put feathers into Hillary’s cap even though she lied about Benghazi and her emails (amongst other things). You supported the “hands up don’t shoot” lie and every other lie that has been told whenever there is a police shooting involving a black as opposed to waiting for the facts to come out which in almost every case has exonerated the police. There is a pattern which is why I still believe you will either pull the lever for Hillary or do your best to get her elected by spreading her narrative.

@another vet: Never supported Romney but have always liked Rubio Glad to see Repub support for LGBT community. Have consistently said I won’t vote HRC. I voted for BHO TWICE BUT BLASTED HIM FOR NOT BOMBING ASSAD on red line pledge. TOOK NO SIDES ON HANDS UP DON’T SHOOT
I think you got me mixed up with someone else.
I did say I’d vote for Kasich.
I’ve never liked Trump—never will—-classless, without grace or humility.
Clifton Roberts for Prez. Vote your conscience

@Richard Wheeler:

TOOK NO SIDES ON HANDS UP DON’T SHOOT

Your comments from 8/19/14 on the Brown shooting:

Lets play dump on the dead black guy.
How bout “The cop ,recently divorced amid accusations of infidelities, was distraught and mentally unstable at the time he unloaded 6 rounds into the unarmed teenager. See how that works Nanny G?

He was divorced in 2013. “Significant other” is probably his former lover. Good news is he’s got KKK (among others) raising big bucks for him.
To be clear I’m not anti-Wilson—I’m pro fairness and truth.

Petercat–The video–what do YOU see? Others may see something different.

Public records show Wilson was divorced in 2013 after 2 years of marriage–“a crime he did not commit.” your opinion. “obvious lies issued by eye witnesses.” again.

@another vet: I think he makes his bet on the first Wed of November!

@another vet: I think those comments were made when another of Rich’s personalities were temporarily inhabiting his body. I have counted up to 7 that are all different . He is a virtual Sybil.

@Richard Wheeler:

The Repub Convention the most negative I’ve seen in 64 years

So your judgment mechanism is still screwed up. I didn’t watch the Dim or Repub conventions this year, but all the clips I’ve seen seem to be a lot of celebration with hundreds of US Flags waving at the Repub convention. I understand the Dims are still trying to find one. They don’t know where to look. Webb Hubbel’s daughter is Ugly. That’s the only word that can properly describe her.

@Richard Wheeler:

The Dem. Convention was about inclusion and a positive vision of America.

No human could believe that.

@another vet: AV, while listing all those minus’s about RW, you accidentally left out him touting a charlatan fund raiser for saving animals while parading under his rainbow banner because that was the party of the fund raiser. Even though he was wearing assless chaps when he posted photos of that Pride Parade on his facebook page, he has since realized that could cause some people to talk about it, so he’s removed those references. Guess he’s no longer for saving animals.

I’m amazed that not one Democrat in prep for that slide show had a copy (old or new) of Jane’s Fighting Ships.
Jane’s Fighting Ships
is an annual reference book (also published online, on CD and microfiche) of information on all the world’s warships arranged by nation, including information on ship’s names, dimensions, armaments, silhouettes and photographs, etc.
I come from a Navy family, dad and all three brothers, and we almost always had a Jane’s Fighting Ships on the bookshelf.
Is anyone in the Democrat party from a Navy background at all?

You can’t put the blame on the retired Admiral because he likely was never facing the slides as he gave his speech.
And Admirals don’t put together slide shows.
