As part of deal, Obama and Kerry agree to let Iran keep US hostages

And, by the way, Major, you’re an idiot for asking…

President Obama ridiculed CBS’ White House correspondent, Major Garrett, for asking a critical question during Tuesday’s press conference on the Iran nuclear deal.

GARRETT: Can you tell the country, sir, how you are content, with all the fanfare of this deal, to leave the conscience of this nation, the strength of this nation unaccounted for in relation to [the four Americans currently jailed in Iran]…

OBAMA: I’ve got to give you credit for how you craft those questions. First of all, the notion that I am “content” [pause] as I “celebrate” with American citizens languishing in Iranian jail [pause]…

Major, that’s nonsense. And you should know better

Truly Garrett SHOULD know better. No one ever gets an honest answer from Obama.

If we could convince Obama that the four hostages were dope peddlers, perhaps he would make an effort to get them released. After all, Reagan got 52 hostages released from Iran on his first day in office.

Simplicity: never wrestle with a pig or argue with a liar.

The fact that four Americans are currently imprisoned in Iran is an separate issue from the nuclear negotiations. It was a dishonest and loaded question. Major Garrett’s FOX News roots are showing.

@Greg: So, forget about them and let them languish? That’s nice.

I’ll bet if they were drug dealers he would take an interest.
