Liberals Redefine Words [Reader Post]

Franklin D. Roosevelt, in 1932, redefined the word liberalism. Prior to 1932, liberalism meant “a belief in individual liberty.” He gave the word a new meaning: “a belief in paternalistic government and trading individual liberty for state-sponsored security” by redefining what he called “the forgotten man.”

The Affirmative Action President [Reader Post]

Enough.

I have had enough. The knuckles are bared. Yesterday Politico ran an article

Is Rick Perry dumb?

We have witnessed the media assault Republican candidates viciously and repeatedly. Politico has declared war on Sarah Palin. Politico, the journolistas who would never question Barack Obama’s brain creds have no qualms about opening speculating about Rick Perry’s intelligence.

Obama kills investigation getting too close for comfort [Reader Post]

Barack Obama wants to crush an investigation that’s getting too close to him and some really close friends:

Attorney General of N.Y. Is Said to Face Pressure on Bank Foreclosure Deal

Eric T. Schneiderman, the attorney general of New York, has come under increasing pressure from the Obama administration to drop his opposition to a wide-ranging state settlement with banks over dubious foreclosure practices, according to people briefed on discussions about the deal.

Obama’s Rolling Mortuary Tour [Reader Post]

Too good to pass up.

Obama’s battle bus no symbol of hope

In British elections we’re used to what we call “battle buses”, cheerfully painted wagons, festooned with party slogans and colours.

US President Barack Obama has embarked on his first bus tour in office.

I was just getting to the point where I thought that the left’s hatred for the Tea Party was finally starting to die down since the movement’s evolution started taking it away from the highly visible protest rallies and with it, out of the cameras and out of liberals’ psyches. Then came all of the recent hysterics by the left as the recent debt ceiling issue brought all of the pent-up hatred they have for the Tea Party coming up to boil in an embarrassing explosion of rhetoric fueled by unthinking rage that made me decide that it was time to finish this piece once and for all. With all of the events that have taken place this wound up being a lot longer than expected and needed to be broken into two parts. To start where I left off a few months ago…

Harry Reid’s Picks For The ‘Super-Committee’ Are In….Politics As Usual

Evidence that this country is on its way to the trash bin of history ala Rome:

In the first of what will be a closely watched selection process for a powerful new deficit panel, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced he will appoint Democratic Sens. Patty Murray (Wash.), Max Baucus (Mont.) and John Kerry (Mass.) as his three choices for a super committee charged with finding more than $1 trillion in spending cuts by the end of this year.
