The man who saved the United States of America [Reader Post]

He is Scott Walker of Wisconsin.

An article in Business Insider listed the Top 6 winners and losers in state budget battles this year. Among the winners are Governors Scott Walker of Wisconsin, Andrew Cuomo of New York, John Kasich of Ohio, Jerry Brown of California and Tom Corbett of Pennsylvania. They all took similar approaches to the financial crises that faced their states- they cut spending and mostly avoided new taxes.

Honesty and Integrity, Up Close and Personal

The outfitter told me I’d be taking out an older hunter, to be careful not to over do the hunting and to keep a close watch over him in case he needed to come in early. Whenever there was an unusual hunter, I was chosen to be his or her guide. I didn’t mind, it was a compliment actually; however, rather than thinking of myself as special, I figured I was more likely to remember and follow instructions than the other guides.

There were a bunch of young hunters in their thirties and forties, they were dressed in the latest from the big outdoor shops and they were excited about going on the hunt. They already had several days worth of whiskers, to have “the look” out in the mountains. Personally, the whiskers drive me nuts, but if whiskers made their hunt more enjoyable, then grow some damn whiskers.

America’s Coming Greek Tragedy [Reader Post]

Characteristically, the protagonist in Greek tragedies fell victim to hubris. Ajax, Oedipus and Orestes all shared such a fate. One day, bards will add Barack Obama to that list.

Greece is in the throes of economic death. An era of obscene pensions and spending profligacy has left the country at war with itself.

How About A Chinese Communist City In Idaho

America is for sale and China has the money. They want 50 square miles South of Boise to build a self sustained Communist City. It would be designated and modeled after the “special economic zone” cities like several that currently exist in China. The Chinese Communist Party owns Sinomach, so the city would belong to the Chinese government. The city would include manufacturing facilities, warehouses, retail centers, and homes for Chinese workers.

“The Revolution Ate Its Children” Maximilien Francois Robespierre

Since the French Revolution, the idea of Left and Right political persuasions have been key designations for political debate. Of course the French Revolution ended like most revolutions in a virtual bloodbath. Throughout history, revolutions become the spoiled children of greedy desperate men or laced up in a ligature of half baked Marxist ideology.

Why there can be no recovery as long as Obama is President [Reader Post]

Barack Obama has unveiled a crisp, fresh and new campaign theme.

“It’s not my fault.”

President Obama has devised a new strategy for dealing with troubling economic developments: Showcase optimism about turning around the economy while reassuring voters that although he understands their fears he isn’t directly responsible for their pain.

The Politics of Central Planning and How It Affects Obama’s Reelection Chances [Reader Post]

President Obama and his administration have had a difficult (at best) time with his economic policies, and those policy decisions will (if we do our job) have an effect upon his reelection prospects. So let’s examine his policies and be knowledgeable so WE are ready to spread the word. As Lao-tzu (604 BC – 531 BC) said, “People are difficult to govern because they have too much knowledge.”

Obama Says, We Will Borrow Money From China To Give To Greece

Because of profligate spending and its Socialist policies, Greece is bankrupt. It is now our duty to bail them out, according to Obama, so that they can continue on without taking responsibility for their own actions. Spain, Portugal, and Ireland are all nearing the same economic precipice; are we to assume that Obama plans to put the rest of the world on American Welfare rolls? Someone better tell him, those people can’t vote, but he does believe the Constitution is flawed, maybe with a few changes here and there, we can continue with a Redistribution of American Wealth for the rest of the world, until we are a Third World Country.

Barack Obama's political epitaph takes shape [Reader Post]

As the 2012 Presidential campaign gains speed, Barack Obama’s political epitaph begins to take shape. Among the achievements etched into his political tombstone will be the following:

US Manufacturing Growth Slowest Since Sept 2009

The pace of growth in the U.S. manufacturing sector tumbled in May, slackening more than expected to its slowest since September 2009, according to an industry report released Wednesday.

Is Big Brother In Our Immediate Future

In 1949 George Orwell wrote 1984, a political prophecy that portrayed a Progressive Party’s ultimate achievement of its totalitarian goals in a Utopian State of complete oligarchy. This chilling account of a Utopian Dream that evolved into a Dystopia was titled, 1984. So frightening was the premise of the novel that the number 1984 became a part of our language, along with the nebulous figure of “Big Brother.”

Many who read the book breathed a sigh of relief when the year came1984 came and passed without the realization of the dreaded situations described in the book. Perhaps Orwell’s only flaw with 1984 was to predict the Progressive political ascendancy a few decades prematurely. The Chinese and Russian oligarchies were in full bloom by the late 1940s; it was within reason to assume the Totalitarian Progressive control of the United States and England in 35 years.
