Dixie Chicks Care Little For Patriotism

Michelle Malkin has a post up with a few quotes from the idiots in the Dixie Chicks….and what a doozy of a quote:

The Chicks can’t hide their disgust at the lack of support they received from other country performers. “A lot of artists cashed in on being against what we said or what we stood for because that was promoting their career, which was a horrible thing to do,” says Robison.

“A lot of pandering started going on, and you’d see soldiers and the American flag in every video. It became a sickening display of ultra-patriotism.”

“The entire country may disagree with me, but I don’t understand the necessity for patriotism,” [Natalie] Maines resumes, through gritted teeth. “Why do you have to be a patriot? About what? This land is our land? Why? You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country… I don’t see why people care about patriotism.”

Amazing. Is she a 32 year old or a 10 year old stuck in a 32 year old body?

I love this line from the article:

“There can be no rational explanation of how Maines’s remark came to drive a red-hot poker into America’s divided soul, but it’s only now that some of the poison has begun to dissipate.”

So not only Maines is a friggin idiot but this writer must have the intellect of a 12 year old also. There is no rational explanation? WTF!

She went to a foreign country and bad mouthed our President while at war. Oh btw, they WERE a country band. It does not take a rocket scientist to understand that most who listen to country also love their country.

Where do these people come from?

She can’t understand why people love this country and respect and revere those who risked everything in rebelling against England, risked everything in fighting for this country in every war, all to give her the right to spout idoicy and pander to the America hating left.

“The liberties of our country, the freedom of our civil Constitution, are worth defending at all hazards; and it is our duty to defend them against all attacks. We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors: they purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood, and transmitted them to us with care and diligence.

It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.”

Samuel Adams
