Former US president Bill Clinton told BBC television on Friday that he would shake hands with Hamas if they provided the same assurances on rejecting terror as the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.
Clinton spoke as the US State Department announced that the United States had suspended all contact with the Palestinian government led by Hamas, who won an overwhelming victory in the Palestinian general election in January.
Amazing. Arafat did not help to end terrorism, he practically invented it.

For this corrupt former President to even suggest shaking hands with a group that has stated they would NEVER arrest those who commit acts of terrorism:
Incoming Palestinian interior minister Said Seyam, chosen by Hamas to oversee three security services, said on Thursday he will not order the arrest of militants carrying out attacks against Israel.
“The day will never come when any Palestinian would be arrested because of his political affiliation or because of resisting the occupation,” Seyam told Reuters in an interview. “The file of political detention must be closed.”
Hamas, whose charter officially calls for Israel’s destruction, swept to victory in a Jan. 25 election and plans to present its cabinet line-up to a Hamas-dominated parliament for a vote next week.
Is just mindboggling. Does this family have any scruples?
Arafat shook hands with the liar, and then lied about what he was going to do, peas in a pod I suppose.
Even more amazing is that he stated this on the same day our Government severed all ties with this group:
The United States has stopped all its contact with the Palestinian government headed by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the State Department said on Friday.
“We’ve advised our mission in Jerusalem as well as other missions around the world that have dealings with the Palestinian Authority that there should be no contacts between U.S. government officials and PA officials who are under the authority of the prime minister or any other minister in the Hamas-led government.”
“This includes working level officials in those ministries,” deputy State Department spokesman Adam Ereli told a news briefing.
Is he trolling for campaign contributions for his wife I wonder?
