Voting, voter ID and mail-in ballots. And a suggestion.

Seems every year democrats find another way to compromise elections in the US. In 2016 “Russian interference” was all the rage.

There was no end to Adam Schiff’s bullsh*t about there being evidence for collusion “in plain sight” although no one else could ever see it.

Trump only won because of Russian collusion. But there’s a problem with that.

James Clapper had to admit that there was no evidence of Russian collusion.

democrats vehemently oppose anything that strengthens the integrity of the vote. They are constantly battering down the walls that protect it. They would see foreign nationals vote, they already push illegals to vote.

There are times the Federal government insists you have an ID for. Seven of them:

  1. Welfare Benefits:
  2. Registration for Buying Guns:
  3. Petition Your Government:
  4. Right of Assembly:
  5. Right to Marry:
  6. Freedom of Movement:
  7. Public Accommodations:

There are a number of other activities which demand a photo ID.:

1. Boarding an airplane
2. Writing a check
3. Cashing a check
4. Using a credit card
5. Driving a motor vehicle
6. Applying for a business license
7. Applying for permission to hold a protest or rally
8. Securing employment
9. Purchasing a house or real estate
10. Renting a domicile
11. Renting a motor vehicle
12. Purchasing a firearm (Includes BB guns)
13. Applying for a hunting license (waived for 16 and 17 year olds when their legal guardian provides a photo ID)
14. Applying for a fishing license (waived for 16 and 17 year olds when their legal guardian provides a photo ID)
15. Purchasing alcoholic beverages
16. Purchasing tobacco or products that contain nicotine
17. Purchasing a motor vehicle
18. Initial registration of a motor vehicle
19. Applying for a building permit
20. Receiving prescription medicine
21. Purchasing OTC medicine that contains pseudoephedrine
22. Serving on jury duty
23. Getting a bank account
24. Cash transactions of $5000.00 or greater
25. Sales tax exemption for people aged 80 and above

And there’s another big one- getting into a DNC convention or fund raiser requires a photo ID.

What does it take to get a photo ID? Let’s use New York as an example

  • Visit your local NYSDMV office.
  • Complete an Application for Driver License or Non-Driver ID Card (Form MV-44).
  • Provide proof of your name, identity, and SSN.
  • Pay the identification card fee ($13 for 8 years, $9 for 4 years).

The requirements for an IDNYC card are here.

There are a myriad of ways to prove your identity and residency and they are not oppressive.

The argument against voter ID is usually that it’s too much of a burden to demand them. And, of course, it’s racist. When I go to purchase alcoholic beverages I am very frequently asked to provide a photo ID (one is not to assume age). If you look at the above lists, it’s simply not reasonable to argue that those on the lower economic rung of the ladder never engage in any of those activities. If you really want one, you can get one.

But put that aside for a moment.

This year mail-in ballots were in style. Big time. democrats used the pandemic as a ruse to flood the country with mail-in ballots, warning that it wasn’t safe to vote while being socially distanced in a controlled environment. These would be the same morons like Gavin Newsom, Steve Adler, London Breed (that sounds to me like a kind of terrier) and Nancy Pelosi who flout the rules they use to slam their slaves, er, constituents. It’s safe for them to dine, go to Cabo or hit the hairdresser in between bites of caviar and $13 per pint ice cream at the French Laundry (has that been closed yet?) all without the need for masks.

Millions voted safely. If you can go to Walmart, Costco or Target safely you can vote safely in person. If you can buy lotto tickets, Old Crow or nips of Popov you can vote safely in person.

There is no excuse.

I am all for absentee balloting- especially for the elderly, the infirm and the military, but something else must happen.

Now, about mail-in balloting. It’s easy to understand why democrats  are so drawn to them. They’re simple to defraud. There was a time when even the left recognized that.

‘Absentee ballots remain the largest source of potential voter fraud.” That quote isn’t from President Trump, who criticized mail-in voting this week after Wisconsin Democrats tried and failed to change an election at the last minute into an exclusively mail-in affair. It’s the conclusion of the bipartisan 2005 report of the Commission on Federal Election Reform, chaired by former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker III.

Concerns about vote-buying have a long history in the U.S. They helped drive the move to the secret ballot, which U.S. states adopted between 1888 and 1950. Secret ballots made it harder for vote buyers to monitor which candidates sellers actually voted for. Vote-buying had been pervasive; my research with Larry Kenny at the University of Florida has found that voter turnout fell by about 8% to 12% after states adopted the secret ballot.

The Washington Post published an article about mail-in balloting which suggesting that mail-in ballots might not be counted or suffer a higher rejection rate.

More than 534,000 mail ballots were rejected during primaries across 23 states this year — nearly a quarter in key battlegrounds for the fall — illustrating how missed delivery deadlines, inadvertent mistakes and uneven enforcement of the rules could disenfranchise voters and affect the outcome of the presidential election.

democrats took care of that this year.

However, early reports about the rejection rate for mailed-in ballots in the general election suggest that it was lower than in 2016 —  perhaps a fraction of a percent, up to 30 times lower than absentee ballots in an election without mass vote-by-mail.

No one has yet explained the dramatic improvement, which could be the result of one or more of the following explanations:

  • Lower standards. Democrats sued in many states — including Pennsylvania –to remove signature, witness, and postmark requirements, and also to extend deadlines. Lowering the standards could result in a far lower rate of ballot rejection.
  • Voter education. Democrats invested in teaching their voters how to fill out and return mail-in ballots. (Democratic attorney Marc Elias, who sued to loosen vote-by-mail requirements once argued minority voters would struggle to fill them out.)
  • Fraud. Republicans warned for months that vote-by-mail would be susceptible to fraud. Former President Jimmy Carter, a Democrat, said the same in 2005. More evidence is needed of fraud in the 2020 election before this can be substantiated.

democrats did their best to flood the country with unrequested ballots and then collected them by any means necessary. That what’s called “ballot harvesting” and it begs for fraud:

Generally, Democrats see the practice as helpful for vulnerable populations; one person turning in all the ballots for a nursing home or housing complex for instance. But what Democrats call “community ballot collection,” Republicans deride as “ballot harvesting,” and say it opens up those same vulnerable populations to manipulation and vote coercion.

Did you know that nursing homes have mail boxes? democrats don’t.

“These harvesters picking up ballots don’t have to show an ID, they don’t have to be a citizen, and they don’t have to be eligible to vote,” U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Ill., ranking member of the Committee on House Administration, wrote in a recent op-ed. “You expect Americans to believe that having someone who can’t vote picking up ballots won’t invite fraud in our elections?”

This is called chain of custody. A break in the chain of custody of evidence is enough to throw out a murder conviction. Murdering an election is apparently not a crime.

What the country needs to make all this conflict cease are some strict rules.

“Smokey this is not ‘Nam, this is bowling. There are rules”

Right now, I have no faith in the electoral system. None. Since 2016 democrats told us the Trump election was rigged. The Russians got Trump elected. They changed the outcome. Trump is a Russian asset. But now that Biden apparently won the crisis is over. The Russians have gone home and put their wallets back in their pockets. The system is fine, thank you.

It’s all good. Never mind.

Horse. S**t. We’ve become Venezuela.

We can’t have 50 different sets of rules for Federal voting. We can’t have illegals voting. We can’t have dead people voting. The chain of custody has to remain intact. Only the USPS should handle absentee ballots.

Voting is not a right. It is a privilege. A privilege meant for US citizens.

It is more important than buying liquor.

It is more important than boarding a jet.

Outside of taking care of out families, it is the single most important thing we do.

democrats crap all over it. They have made a mockery of it.

Instead of reducing the country to third world status as they are doing now, democrats can actually do something constructive. If voter ID’s are a burden or racist, let the DNC help people obtain them. That would eliminate the issue. Let democrats (and Republicans) initiate programs aimed at helping people obtain legal ID’s. democrats keep arguing that minorities are too stupid to be able get ID’s and fill out ballots (they’re not). This should resolve their issue.

Then back off.

No ballot harvesting. Let the DNC send people stamps if they’re worried about it.

No “assisting” in filling out ballots. It’s way open to intimidation.

What happened this year cannot and must not ever happen again. We absolutely need to have faith in the integrity of the electoral system.

Good thing no mature or self-respecting American will ever accept the results of this illegal and fraudulent “election”.

The argument against voter ID is usually that it’s too much of a burden to demand them. And, of course, it’s racist.

That argument itself is racist, as Democrats are arguing that minorities are too stupid to get an ID… or to realize they already have one.

I suspect this article must be tongue in cheek. Democrats WANT the fraud. Fraud NOURISHES them. They know they can NEVER win another election without cheating. When they argue against the effectiveness of voter ID, they use that voting by mail is so susceptible to fraud, so why worry about voter ID?

All Democrats have been waiting for is the technology to cover for them. And, of course, the corrupt liberal media to support them in their fraud.

And just like that, China called off the trolls…including greg and Ron/AJ.

@Nathan Blue: They simply haven’t gotten the proper talking points yet.

How about a finger print box on ballots. You have a problem with that???

@Deplorable Second Class: You would have to give Democrats time for their cheating technology to catch up and figure out a way to fake it.
