Definition of traitor

1: one who betrays another’s trust or is false to an obligation or duty

2: one who commits treason

During the theater known as the Donald Trump Impeachment hearings Adam Schiff conducted a number of interviews with “witnesses.”  He conducted them in a SCIF – Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility.

Talk of the impeachment inquiry is everywhere in America, but Americans have no idea what it actually looks like.

That’s because House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) has so far conducted the entire impeachment inquiry in a secret room in the basement of the Capitol building that is not accessible by the general public.

Just to the south of the Capitol Visitor Center underneath the dome and down one spiral staircase is a room hidden behind two heavy wooden doors.

On the doors are red signs with white letters that say: “Restricted Area. No public or media access. Cameras and recording devices prohibited without proper authorization.”

Behind those doors is a hallway, which leads to the secret room where Schiff is conducting the impeachment inquiry of President Trump.

The House Intelligence Committee has a huge hearing room in the Longworth House Office Building where they can hold hearings that do not concern classified material, which members of the public and journalists can attend.

But the impeachment inquiry is taking place in the committee’s Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) — a room for members to use when discussing and viewing classified material.

And here’s why

Republicans say the impeachment inquiry is not an intelligence matter that needs to be in the SCIF, but its location gives Schiff the ability to tightly control everything — and everyone — going in and out.

Security guards stand in front of the two wooden doors to make sure reporters and other unauthorized members of the public stay out. But inside the hallway, there are security officers who make sure unauthorized members of Congress and staffers stay out of the SCIF.

Schiff and the Democrats control who is allowed in.

Schiff promised to release the transcripts of those interviews but thus far has refused and has sat on them for a year. Fortunately there is a new sheriff in town. Acting DNI Grenell has advised Schiff that if he doesn’t release the transcripts that he (Grenell) would.

Among the transcripts to be released

The 53 transcripts eligible for release, according to a source familiar with the transcripts, included interviews with Trump Jr., Bannon, Kushner, Hicks, Lewandowski, former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, Roger Stone, Brad Parscale, Michael Caputo and Rick Dearborn.

Also expected to be released, according to the source: transcripts for interviews with Obama officials such as former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper; former Attorney General Loretta Lynch; former Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power; former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe; former National Security Adviser Susan Rice; former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates; former Obama adviser Benjamin Rhodes; and former Obama counselor and Hillary Clinton Campaign Manager John Podesta.

This is reported to have Schiff in a “panic”:

Transcripts of House Intelligence Committee interviews that have been cleared for release show top law enforcement and intelligence officials affirming they had no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election, senior administration and intelligence community officials told Fox News on Wednesday.

This would align with the results of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation — which found no evidence of illegal or criminal coordination between President Trump, the Trump campaign and Russia in 2016 — but the numerous transcribed interviews could raise further questions about committee Chairman Adam Schiff’s past statements saying that there was “direct evidence” of collusion.

“Schiff is in panic mode,” a senior administration official told Fox News.

I certainly hope so. I hope he can’t sleep. I hope he can’t eat. But I doubt he suffers either as he is a sociopath.

John Solomon dissects some of Schiff’s outrageous and deceitful claims.

Schiff Report Claim: DOJ and FBI officials “made only narrow use of information from Steele’s sources about Page’s specific activities in 2016.”

Declassified Facts: Horowitz directly contradicted this claim, concluding the dossier “played a central and essential role” in the FISA application. “The FISA request form drew almost entirely from Steele’s reporting in describing the factual basis to establish probable cause to believe that Page was an agent of a foreign power,” the IG wrote.

There is a good vetting at the link. And as for Schiff’s first reaction to Grenell?

Adam Schiff is a liar. For three years he he peddled this Russian bullsh*t and the let wing media swallowed whole. He is a former prosecutor and you have to wonder how many innocent people he has imprisoned with his lies. As I said before, Schiff is a bastard.

He is also a traitor.

If one followed Soloman, Bongino and others illegally monitored by an Ambassador that was recalled from Ukraine before the Ukraine fake impeachment you would be informed of the psycho that is Adam Schiff and the various mental issues of the Seventh Floor and State Departments foggy bottom.
Long have we sat slack jawed at the double standard of law, why these traitors are not counting bricks.
No one expects they get the proper sentence of a good neck stretching, if they go to jail some Democrat President will pardon them down the road.

I don’t think treason applies here, given how its definition is written.

I do think charges do apply, which ones are up to DOJ to decide.

Which does not inspire confidence, but it is what it is.

@Meremortal:

sedition and treason-yes. may I remind you of the oath of office pencil dick schiff took. he has forgotten the content:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

you need to read and research more.

If you think Schittead is in panic mode now, imagine how much worse it’s going to get now that the charges against Gen Flynn have been dropped. “Schitt for jail t-shirts” should become hot commodity.

@another vet:

OOHRA

A law should be passed that if a committee is hearing testimony of people under oath, then the committee members should be under oath and subject to perjury rules themselves. That would put a damper on goddamn liars like Schiff, Nadler, Feinstein, Harris, Booker, et al saying whatever politically motivated lies they feel like.

@Deplorable Me: All congress people when they are in tax payer paid for property should be considered under oath, not be able to legally lie as Harry Reid did about Romney not paying his taxes on the floor of the senate.
Poor democrats would have to sew their mouths shut.

@MOS #8541: I predict no one, including Schiff, will be charged with treason over the plot to remove Trump.

@Meremortal:

However, insurrection and/or sedition become distinct possibilities.
