The inimitable Alexandria Ocasio Cortez really stepped in it when she likened detention centers at the border to “concentration camps.”
“The United States is running concentration camps on our southern border and that is exactly what they are,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Monday night in an emotional Instagram live video. “They are concentration camps,” she reiterated to her viewers, who flooded the feed with comments.
Sitting in what appeared to be her apartment, the freshman congresswoman criticized the border facilities that currently house undocumented migrants who have crossed into the U.S. and are waiting to be processed. Images from the centers show some migrant children sleeping under foil blankets. Many are kept in small fenced-in areas; some are outdoors.
“I want to talk to the people that are concerned enough with humanity to say that ‘never again’ means something,” Ocasio-Cortez continued in her live video. “The fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the ‘Home of the Free’ is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it.”
This despite the fact that conditions are much improved over the previous administration and it was obama who build the cages for children. What’s so often left out of the discussion is the fact that children are being protected more than detained in the facilities because they are frequently being rented by those seeking to enter the country
“Certainly I hope they stop coming because we probably will have more deaths as the hot weather continues,” says Cuellar. “It’s not just the heat that could kill them but there are other dangers. Officials at Lackland Air Force Base told us that one-third of young girls that come across – and they were just like little babies; 10, 11, 14 years of age. That about one third of them get raped and/or abused on the way here.”
Cuellar says that as he was speaking to Customs and Border Patrol agents he was also discovering a disturbing trend of adults “renting” children in Central America in order to increase their chances of being able to stay in the U.S. once they cross over.
“I was talking to somebody that worked for Border Patrol, and he said that in the late 80’s there were a lot of kids from El Salvador coming in and what they were doing is they had a ‘rent-a-kid’ program.” says Cuellar “In other words they said ‘oh if I come in and I have a kid with me they’ll let me go.” And the Border Agent told him “Henry, I’m seeing this again, I cannot believe it.”
And many of the “families” trying to enter are fake:

The situation at the border has been called a “real crisis” by the Department of Homeland Security in a recent report. The department said the number of families coming across the border increased last year by 600 percent.
“Those large groups … they know our resources can’t address the threats at the same time,” said Chief Border Patrol Agent Rodney Scott, with the San Diego Sector.
With the increase in families crossing the border comes an alarming rise in fake families — where adults are accompanied by kids who aren’t really theirs.
You never hear AOC talk about either of these things. You also never hear of AOC nor any other liberal talk of the other concentration camps in the US- specifically in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.The conditions for those detained there are well, deplorable.

These camps have been called “infectious disease time bombs.” It is said that parts of San Francisco are dirtier than are foreign slums. How ironic and irritating that liberal politicians care not at all for this travesty while at the same time demanding something be done at the Southern border to make the lives of illegals better.

Like the evidence Democrats rely on to pursue their impeachment fantasies against Trump, this is another instance of Democrats not wanting to delve too deeply into the subject for fear of destroying their reason for outrage with too much knowledge. California has succeeded at turning itself into one gigantic outhouse. New York, out of envy it seems, is working to pass the necessary legislation to match California’s mandated deterioration.

Cuellar is a jerk. Recently, the State of Texas tried to clean up the voter rolls. What happened then? The State Attorney General and the Election Administrators of five counties were sued by the ACLU and LULAC. You know, because some of those illegal voters had Hispanic last names. Of course, Cuellar relies on fraudulent votes to keep him in office. If Cueller is so concerned about the “children” (as Sheila Jackson-Lee would say) maybe he can convince Pelosi to fund the border needs, both humanitarian and security wise.

AOC took the words, “concentration camps” without a bit of History to tell her what those words actually meant, and applied them to a voluntary border crosser who asks Border Patrol to take them into custody as they are “seeking asylum.”
Oddly, not one person would be held in detention at the border had he/she not walked into the situation.
How unlike the historic concentration camps where unarmed people were rounded up by jack-booted armed-to-the-teeth soldiers just for their religion, sexual orientation, birth defects or skin color.
Instead of a plan to let them go eventually, these historic camp residents were murdered on day one or worked to death while living in the camps.

On the NYT Facebook page (were there are liberals posting, unlike here) some actually make the argument that, strictly speaking, they ARE “concentration camps” in that some people are being concentrated there… in camps. However, though I’ve tried twice, while agreeing with that precise definition of the term, do any of them actually believe those invoking that term were merely being literal or were they instead trying to invoke images of Buchenwald? As I said, no one can muster up an answer, but plenty of laughing emojis shower down. This is the width and breadth of liberal thought.

Cant hardly blame the mushroom workers at Wayfair they are only told a partial story. Over and over there is no crisis. Public education does not permit them to put 2 and 2 together.
Protection found over 3,500 cases of fake families from October 2018 through March of 2019. The kids are supposed to go to HHS, who are also overwhelmed, the facilities were never designed for children.

Does the HHS run concentration camps? HHS currently operates a network of more than 100 shelters in 17 states where was her big yap in 2015 more than 10,600 unaccompanied minors crossed the border just in the month of June, swamping federal resources, where are those children now?

I did a report in 2014 for a federal congressman on the cost of UACs to the American taxpayer.
Here is just a bit of reality for you; between January 1 and July 31, 2014 alone, HHS spent $522,042,583.00 of American tax payer money to feed, clothe, house and educate (in public schools) unaccompanied alien children. At the end of 2014, the cost had exceeded ONE BILLION DOLLARS.
Most of those children were from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala.
Where are those children now? They are housed at group homes funded by HHS until they are 18 at which point they are required to leave and are on their own.
