democrats unveil their agenda- “Get Trump”

Loading

democrats told America what they were planning to do should they retake the House and or Senate. Well, it’s what they said they would do. Their tax plan? Increases, naturally

  • Increase the top marginal income tax rate from 37 percent to 39.6 percent.
  • Increase the corporate income tax rate from 21 percent to 25 percent.
  • Bring back the alternative minimum tax (AMT) for 4 million families.
  • Cut the “death tax” standard deduction in half.

The rest of what they say they want to do:

Lowering health care costs, rebuilding infrastructure and running the House chamber with more transparency and openness are near the top of the Democratic agenda, Pelosi said during a talk Tuesday at Harvard’s Institute of Politics. Democrats would also prioritize giving legal status to young immigrants, known as Dreamers, and strengthening background checks on gun purchases, she said.

Thing is, there won’t be time for any of this. At this very moment they’re loading up the subpoena cannon:

Jonathan Swan wrote in August that Republicans had already catalogued numerous oversight targets that Democrats had signaled, including:

  • President Trump’s tax returns
  • Trump family businesses — and whether they comply with the Constitution’s emoluments clause, including the Chinese trademark grant to the Trump Organization
  • Trump’s dealings with Russia, including the president’s preparation for his meeting with Vladimir Putin
  • The payment to Stephanie Clifford — a.k.a. Stormy Daniels
  • James Comey’s firing
  • Trump’s firing of U.S. attorneys
  • Trump’s proposed transgender ban for the military
  • Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin’s business dealings
  • White House staff’s personal email use
  • Cabinet secretary travel, office expenses, and other misused perks
  • Discussion of classified information at Mar-a-Lago
  • Jared Kushner’s ethics law compliance
  • Dismissal of members of the EPA board of scientific counselors
  • The travel ban
  • Family separation policy
  • Hurricane response in Puerto Rico
  • Election security and hacking attempts
  • White House security clearances

Adam Schiff wants to rescue Acosta, Nita Lowey wants to dig into the Space Force thing. And there are already 64 subpoenas that have been filed by democrats, including:

  1. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services Withholding Documents on Trump Administration Child Separation Policy
  2. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross Withholding Testimony on Census 2020 Citizenship Question
  3. Department of Veterans Affairs Withholding Documents Relating to Reports that Mar-a-Lago Members Influencing Department Decisions
  4. White House Withholding Report and Documents on Security Clearance Process Required by Law
  5. White House Withholding Documents on Revocation of John Brennan Security Clearance
  6. White House Withholding Documents on John Bolton Security Clearance
  7. State Department Withholding Documents on Retaliation
  8. Office of Personnel Management Refusing to Provide Briefing on Complying with Court Order
  9. Department of Health and Human Services and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Withholding Documents on Medicaid Work Requirements
  10. Department of Health and Human Services and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Withholding Documents on Scrubbing of Department Websites
  11. State Department Withholding Documents on Decision to Close Cyber Office
  12. Director of National Intelligence Testifying Before the Oversight Committee on the extent of the Russian Threat to Our Country and Our Elections.

There are many more at the link. These will occupy about 150% of legislative time. It will be quite amusing to watch as dems fight for their own personal desires.

It’s very clear that THE democrat agenda is cripple Trump and take him down. Of course, he can do as obama did- use Whitaker as obama used Holder and Lynch as a wall, if you will, against the attacks. That would, of course, drive liberals nuts and they would in their typical amnesic fashion start screaming obstruction all while forgetting that such a move comes directly out of the barack obama playbook.

obama used the AG’s office as a shield. His claims of there being no scandals or indictments were the result of his AG’s ignoring subpoenas and burying the crimes including IRS targeting and Fast and Furious.

Holder would go on to find himself being held in Contempt of Congress. He simply dismissed it all and continued on his merry way and that is exactly what Trump and his AG should do.

Given their blood lust and sheer hatred, democrats are very likely to overplay their hand on this and be seen as the Inspector Javert of the Trump era.

Country be damned.

The people that actually believe Trump’s lies Are they really that stupid? HOW THE HELL IS THAT POSSIBLE?

The Free Press and concerned citizens MUST stand up to this guy.

@Greg:

I answer that question every time I point out that Donald effing Trump lies with every other breath.

No, you haven’t because Trump isn’t the media, is he? Would it be bad if the media lied to the public? It’s not a trick question; it asks only what it states. Is it simply too much to expect a simple yes or no (even though your intransigence speaks volumes)?

Simply revealing his financial conflicts of interest would likely destroy his presidency in a matter of weeks

Well… DO IT. What the hell are you waiting on? You KNOW collusion is going nowhere, you better work on your backup plan because you KNOW you won’t vote him out of office.

He has hit Putin with harsh sanctions. What would have him do with the Saudis; go to war over some radical Islamic rabble rouser? At least he’s not delivering pallets of money, bowing to kiss their asses or promising to “be flexible” like Obama the lying coward.

And don’t forget to answer the question.

@Greg: His full quote “After my heavily negotiated trip to Saudi Arabia last year, the Kingdom agreed to spend and invest $450 billion in the United States,” said Trump. “Of the $450 billion, $110 billion will be spent on the purchase of military equipment from Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and many other great U.S. defense contractors. If we foolishly cancel these contracts, Russia and China would be the enormous beneficiaries—and very happy to acquire all of this newfound business.”
He did not say any of those contracts were done deals, he said they agreed that is all, yet the MSM just adds a twist to call him a liar, you are dense enough to gobble it up.
The Saudi Arabian economy is the largest in the Gulf region, and the country is the only nation in the region that is a member of the G-20 group of major economies.
Why are progressives so eager to kill jobs with good benefits, have gas prices go up, because some guy that praised terrorists and wrote articles to lure young men to join terrorist groups?
It was great when journalists were being tossed out windows by Vlad when Obama was being flexible. Now he is not Mr Popular he knows to much about Barry and Hillary and strategic asset business dealings.
Saudi Arabia is dependent on imports to meet 70% of its food requirements it isnt just arms they purchase, they even have to import animal feed.

What $450 billion? He’s accounted for $110 billion of military hardware, which I’m not even sure we should be selling to the nation that’s the source point and primary funder for the spread of Wahhabism. Should my tax dollars be going to fund the humanitarian catastrophe they’re creating in Yemen? Is that in our national interest?

@kitt:

Why are progressives so eager to kill jobs with good benefits, have gas prices go up, because some guy that praised terrorists and wrote articles to lure young men to join terrorist groups?

Because they can always blame the I’ll effects on Republicans and the corrupt media will cover them.

@Greg:

Should my tax dollars be going to fund the humanitarian catastrophe they’re creating in Yemen? Is that in our national interest?

The catastrophe Obama’s partners created and keep fueled with the money HE gave them?

@Greg: Exactly how are anyones tax dollars being spent? Seems its oil money being spent, so stop buying anything petroleum based. Again not much of a problem when saud money was flowing into Clinton coffers
Saudi Arabia has been a particularly generous benefactor. The kingdom gave between $10 million and $25 million to the Clinton Foundation.

@Deplorable Me:

What would have him do with the Saudis; go to war over some radical Islamic rabble rouser? At least he’s not delivering pallets of money, bowing to kiss their asses or promising to “be flexible” like Obama the lying coward.

It seems that Greggie Gullible believes that the U.S. should act on the murder of a Saudi national, with known ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, by the Saudis in another foreign nation. Can you imagine the outrage if Trump did take actions against the nation that basically funded the Clinton Library? Can you imagine the outrage on the left if Trump interfered in a crime against a foreign national in a foreign nation?

@Deplorable Me:

You appear to have forgotten which administration it actually was that was delivering and losing control of pallets of money. (Clue: It was the one that launched the invasion of Iraq to begin with, which ultimately culminated in the exact situation our intelligence community warned them about before they did it. )

@Greg: All that money that vanished in Iraq was oil funds from Iraq held by the UN, the investigation where it went was stopped by the Obama admin after over a billion was found in a bunker in Lebanon. The issue is what happened to the money once it was distributed through the minister of finance, We had a very clear record of funds going to the Iraqi system.
Mr. Bowen said that Brick Tracker, his office’s most sensitive investigation, began in 2010 when Wael el-Zein, a Lebanese- American on his staff, received a tip about stolen money hidden in Lebanon. An informant told him about the bunker, which in addition to the cash, was believed to also have held approximately $200 million in gold belonging to the Iraqi government.
And when Mr. Bowen and his staff tried to conduct an investigation of the missing cash in Lebanon, they also met with resistance from the United States Embassy in Beirut. Who was in charge of US embassies in 2010?
Bush still sucked, but the next admin whoa!

@Greg: You appear to want to forget and divert from the fact that Obama gave the world’s largest supporter of terrorism $150 billion and it went directly to supporting Hamas and Yemen terrorism. But, probably if I was that ignorant, I’d deny it, too.

@kitt:

Bush still sucked, but the next admin whoa!

And he didn’t hand money directly into the hands of terrorists who had pledged to destroy Israel and to build nuclear weapons whether we liked it or not.

@Deplorable Me, #60:

The terms of Obama’s Nuclear agreement allowed Iran access to frozen Iranian assets . It was their own damn money.

Further, there’s no evidence to support the $150 billion figure thrown out by Donald The Liar Trump on Fox & Friends. The total amount the Iranians would gain free access to under the terms of the agreement was estimated by the U.S. Treasury in 2015 to be around $56 billion. Most of that wasn’t even under the direct control of the United States. Most of it was held in foreign banks.

The $1.7 billion cash payment to Iran—made by the U.S. in Euros and foreign currencies to be in compliance with U.S. law—represented the return of $400 million Iran paid us over 25 years previously for military equipment that we never delivered, plus calculated interest. It was the settlement of a debt we owed, in accordance with international law. Refer to the section headed U.S.-Iran Claims Tribunal on page 1 of the linked Congressional Report.

From Trump’s mouth to his followers’ heads virtually guarantees their heads will be full up with disinformation and total nonsense. The man repeats whatever goofy claims he reads and likes as if liking them made them true. Often he simply makes things up. The man is an idiot.

The pallets of cash flown to Iraq by the Bush administration which unaccountably vanished into the woodwork totaled over $12 billion363 tons of bundled $100 bills.

@Greg: The 12 billion was delivered to the finance minister of that country, once they were able to print their own money again the pallets stopped.
@Deplorable Me: Bush sr and jr, the Clintons and Barry are all globalist NWO traitors.

@Greg:

The terms of Obama’s Nuclear agreement allowed Iran access to frozen Iranian assets . It was their own damn money.

We didn’t HAVE to give it to them and they have never paid the fines for holding our citizens hostage. Face it, it was nothing but Obama wanting to help out radical Islamists. It’s why he kept much of the rotten deal secret from Congress and the American people.

Further, there’s no evidence to support the $150 billion figure thrown out by Donald The Liar Trump on Fox & Friends.

No, of course not. Money is fungible. However, Obama gives them $150 billion and their support for Hamas and Yemen spikes. But, I’m sure that’s only a coincidence. Maybe they both hit the lottery somewhere or sold some soda pop bottles. I realize that if you close one eye and squint the other while looking the other way, you probably can’t see the obvious.

How much did Obama make Iran pay for taking our sailors prisoner in international waters and humiliating them? How much did they pay for violating UN agreements against missile testing? Obama’s deals always have the benefits going only one direction… AWAY from America.

The 12 billion was delivered to the finance minister of that country, once they were able to print their own money again the pallets stopped.

As I said, 363 tons of U.S. currency was delivered to Iraq and disappeared without any accounting for where it went. It was given to the finance minister is not a stunning example of proper book keeping.

@Deplorable Me, #64:

We didn’t HAVE to give it to them and they have never paid the fines for holding our citizens hostage.

A nation should honor its international contracts and agreements. For 25 years we kept money paid to us by the nation of Iran for things that we never delivered. In this case, doing so was part of the inducement that led Iran to disable its plutonium-capable reactor, reduce its inventory of gas centrifuges, and export enormous quantities of already enriched uranium.

Iran still has no nuclear weapons. Before the Nuclear Agreement, they were estimated to be less than a year away from joining North Korea as new club members.

No doubt Donald would have reined them in as well, just like he did with North Korea.

November 12, 2018 — North Korea is still working on its ballistic missile program, say U.S. officials

And a hydrogen fusion weapon, most likely. That they’ve lost all interest in goals that they diligently pursued for over 40 years is an illusion. Donald Trump deals in illusions.

@Greg: When did the USA become book-keepers for another nation? What gives us that power? Can you tell us where the billions sent Iran was spent wheres your accounting book Greggie? Why did the State Dept stop an investigation into finding and possibly returning stolen gold and cash, why was that done in 2010? Lets check who at that time or shortly before donated to the Clinton crime family slush fund, yes lets open those books and take a peek. Oh looks like someone is interested

Clinton Foundation Investigation Could Spell Hillary’s Doom

But nothing will happen to the well politically protected Harpy or the rapist they will never pay for her traitorous greed filled behavior not ever.
Check out this illusion http://www.redstatewatcher.com/article.asp?id=142901

When did the USA become book-keepers for another nation? What gives us that power?

It was $12 billion belonging to the U.S. taxpayers. Since when does a president get to hand over 363 tons of newly printed $100 bills to a foreign power with no accounting of where it went and no questions asked? If Obama had ever done such a thing, how would the soon-to-be-replaced republican-majority House of Representatives have responded? There would have been incessant howling and endless investigations. Trump supporters are still raising hell about a $1.7 billion repayment to Iran that’s fully explained and fully accounted for, simply because they didn’t like the fact that he managed to reach an agreement that set Iran’s nuclear ambitions back by years. They hate the fact that their repeated politically motivated efforts to sabotage it fell through.

Is that not a bit “inconsistent”?

@Greg:

It was $12 billion belonging to the U.S. taxpayers.

Sorry you are wrong, it was Iraqs oil money held by the UN then transferred to our treasury then the bills were printed and sent. Where did you get this was tax payers cash, they lied to you, or you made a mistaken assumption.
Now why did Hillary put the Kabosh on the investigation? Perhaps the same reason a woman in Haiti caught trying steal 33 kids was saved by Hillary ? Laura Silsby married now goes by the name of Laura Galyer landed a government job.

@Greg:

A nation should honor its international contracts and agreements.

You are aware it is against international law to take and hold embassy personnel hostage, aren’t you? Explain to me when Iran apologized for that and denounced such gangster action. We didn’t owe them a DAMN thing.

In this case, doing so was part of the inducement that led Iran to disable its plutonium-capable reactor, reduce its inventory of gas centrifuges, and export enormous quantities of already enriched uranium.

Says the naive fool that believes any crap Obama would shovel into his head.

No doubt Donald would have reined them in as well, just like he did with North Korea.

November 12, 2018 — North Korea is still working on its ballistic missile program, say U.S. officials

But, see, Trump hasn’t paid all the “inducements” up front, looking like a complete idiot as they thumb their nose at the agreement and continue doing exactly what they were doing before. That is the difference between smart and stupid. Of course, Obama never wanted to increase stability or assure peace and security; all he wanted was some newspaper clippings for his “legacy”.
