The hurricane is Trump’s fault, the good economic news is not. democrats are nucking futs.

Sometimes you have to shake your head. Hurricane Florence hasn’t made landfall yet, but the Washington Post has already pinned the blame for it on Trump:

The editorial board of the Washington Post has declared that President Trump is “complicit” for Hurricane Florence because of his views on climate change.

The massive storm has not made landfall yet, but the Post published a column on Wednesday headlined, “Another hurricane is about to batter our coast. Trump is complicit.”

The piece also notes that Trump has given “good advice” when issuing hurricane warnings via his Twitter feed before it launched an attack on the president.

“When it comes to extreme weather, Mr. Trump is complicit. He plays down humans’ role in increasing the risks, and he continues to dismantle efforts to address those risks. It is hard to attribute any single weather event to climate change. But there is no reasonable doubt that humans are priming the Earth’s systems to produce disasters,” the editorial board wrote.

Billionaire Jeff Bezos’ paper then quotes a climate researcher who said that previous hurricanes would not have produced so much rain without “human-induced climate change” and Florence is another indication of global warming.

Because there were no hurricanes before Trump and obama stopped the rise of the oceans, you know, as he was able to stop hurricanes with his mind alone.

La Cucaracha also slammed Trump:

Democratic Illinois Rep. Luis Gutierrez, appearing on “All In” with Chris Hayes on MSNBC Tuesday night, said Trump is not “prepared” for Florence.

“You know what I fear, is the calamity, because of the lack of coordination of the government, with the National Guard, and with local government,” Gutierrez said. “The lack of responsiveness and preparedness of this government, because the president wants to find out who was the one that wrote that op-ed piece about the chaos in the White House.”

On the other hand, the economy thunders on and poverty is down:

Middle-class income rose to the highest recorded levels in 2017 and the national poverty rate declined as the benefits of the strong economy lifted the fortunes of more Americans, the U.S. Census reported Wednesday.

The median U.S. household earned $61,372 last year, meaning half of the families in the country brought in more income than this and half earned less.

Crossing the $61,000 mark signals the American middle-class may have finally earned more than it did in 1999, although the Census Bureau cautions that median income last year was not statistically different from 1999 or 2007. A change in methodology in 2013 makes precise comparisons difficult. All the income figures have been adjusted for inflation and are reported in 2017 dollars.

Middle-class household income has been rising steadily in recent years as the economy has rebounded from the deep recession and millions of Americans have found jobs again. The extra pay from having another person in the home working again or working additional hours is the largest factor contributing to rising income.

“We’re continuing to see a shift from part-time to full-time work, so some of that could explain an increase in income,” said Trudi Renwick, an assistant division chief at Census Bureau.

The Census Bureau also reported that the U.S. poverty rate declined modestly to 12.3 percent, the lowest level in years and a sign the economic devastation from the Great Recession is subsiding.

Business creation is at a record high:

Now, one of the things that I can remember at the American Enterprise Institute talking a lot about before I came in here was the fact that entrepreneurship in America was falling off. And one of the ways we can measure entrepreneurship is that, if you start a new business, that you have to apply for an ID number — a tax ID number — for your business.

The government has been tracking these data since the third quarter of 2004, and the recent trend is striking. The 876,201 new business applications in the second quarter of 2018 were the most ever recorded. In fact, the totals for each of the six quarters in which Donald Trump has been in the White House are higher than for each of the quarters from the start of the series through the end of 2016. The quarterly total in the pre-Trump era had never reached 800,000 and the U.S. has now been fortunate enough to exceed that total for three straight quarters. There’s no guarantee that Mr. Trump won’t describe such results inaccurately on Twitter. Regardless, the results are better than they have ever been.

barack obama, along with the left wing media, tried to wrestle credit for the economy from Trump, but Trump was having none of it:

Obama hit the campaign trail for congressional Democratic candidates over the weekend, after delivering a fiery speech accusing Trump and Republicans of fueling “division and resentment” – and suggesting the current administration was taking credit for a recovery he engineered.

“When you hear how great the economy’s doing right now, let’s just remember when this recovery started,” Obama said Friday.

But Trump on Monday tried to use Obama’s past words against him.

“’President Trump would need a magic wand to get to 4% GDP,’ stated President Obama. I guess I have a magic wand, 4.2%, and we will do MUCH better than this! We have just begun,” Trump tweeted.

Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors Kevin Hassett swatted away obama’s claims:

Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors Kevin Hassett stood at the White House briefing podium Monday slapping down theories that the rising American economy is a continuation of trends from the previous administration, illustrating an inflection at the time of President Donald Trump’s election.
Hassett displayed a chart showing small business optimism at a high not seen since July 1983. The chart showed a November 2016 jump in small business optimism that far outpaced a dotted line depicting the trend under the Obama administration.
The next slide depicted the trend of small business investment from the Obama administration that was downward sloping and the sharp upward pivot in fourth quarter 2016. The slide noted that business investment is “up more than $300 billion over trend.”

“Capital goods orders and shipments up sharply,” read the next slide. Hassett stated that this measure is a “key” part of the economy. “It characterizes, basically, the good paying jobs,” he said. “The jobs that affect normal Americans, blue collar Americans.” Both charts displayed showed a strong pivot from a downward trend under Obama to an conversely upward trend at the time of Trump’s election.

So honestly, WaPo is nucking futs. And so is the rest of the left wing media.

As if in some bizarre contest to outdo each other’s stupidity, the left just this morning scored a new low. While the FEMA spokesman was briefing on the impact of the storm and then took questions about the dangers and preparations, some liberal idiot took off on the liberal-induced rumor that Trump had taken funds from FEMA and given them to ICE. Instead of relaying important information, he had to waste time addressing this stupidity. More proof that the safety of the public is no even CLOSE to important to liberals.

Is Trump responsible for getting the hurricane downgraded from a CAT 4 to a 2?

Just last year Fema had plenty of practice, Patriotic free Citizens need to be prepared and not depend on government agencies to come to the rescue. If told to evacuate do so, proper insurance for disasters that are possible in your area, and emergency supplies. The Government should only be a catch net not a blanket.
I hope someday the Liberals learn that gobs of cash does not control the weather, engineering solutions and investing in those solutions to keep our planet clean is a better path.
3000 people did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. AFTER the storm had hit, they had anywhere from 6 to 18 deaths. As time went by the incompetent PR government that only held out its hand and had no plan nor noncorrupt skills caused any further death.
Perhaps a Naval Base on the Island would have been helpful.

So honestly, WaPo is nucking futs. And so is the rest of the left wing media.

That’s because the left wingers they cater to are nucking futs.

@kitt: Why don’t they just blame ALL deaths around the world since the storms on Trump?

@Deplorable me:

Why don’t they just blame ALL deaths around the world since the storms on Trump?

Sure why not he must be king of the world and control all the forces of nature…damn he is powerful.

you have to understand that to the left government is god. Leftist politics is a religion. They think the government can give us everything we want for “free”. So it is only natural for them to believe that now that the devil is in charge of the state he has the malevolent power to create destructive hurricanes. Castro once claimed that yankee imperialists caused a hurricane to stall over Cuba. Letist’s are psychotic and delusional impervious to logic or facts.

Don’t forget the Patriotic free Citizens who, on their own and using their own resources, always head to a disaster to help. The Confederate Navy is just one example.
Rednecks, yuppies, ordinary men and women from all walks of life drop what they’re doing, roll to the sound of thunder, and work together to help total strangers recover their lives.
People just like you, and me, and Greg.
When they’re needed, they go.
We must be proud of them all.

@Petercat: Those guys rocked it including saving abandoned pets.
Have you caught wind of this it is very curious indeed

@kitt: #9
Yep. All I know is that with the FBI involved, there was probably some sort of criminal activity related to the observatory.
Further than that, I will not speculate.

@Petercat: http://www.spaceweather.eu/ site is down as well as well as 6 observation cameras around the globe. Just curious right after a solar storm.
WTF??!! https://twitter.com/DailyMail/status/1008677273275457536/photo/1

The Washington Compost all the usial lies from a this Birdcage liner?Prrots Toilet/Fishwrap can anyone expect less they need to be nominated a for a Pinnochio and MRC DISHONOR AWARD

Well, as much as I’ve bashed Trump, I have to say he’s likely well prepared for this storm.

Hell, how can he not be. Regardless of how many die, trump will claim no one died.

And you freaks will pull your heads out of his ass just long enough to concur.

It looks like the MSM’s much touted and hoped for “storm of the century” has been downgraded to a CAT 1. I’m sure all the “civilized and compassionate” lefties who took to Twitter hoping for as many dead Trump supporters to come out of this as possible will feel pretty let down.

@another vet: Trump must have caused it to downgrade, since he caused it in the first place. It probably downgraded because, once again, the global warming issue is not as bad as the left presents it.

the global warming issue is not as bad as the left presents it.

Especially since it’s manmade and Trump can control it.

@another vet: #14
Well, if Obama can stop the oceans from rising, surely President Trump can weaken a hurricane.

@kitt: #11
That’s just President Trump, watching over the nation.
“Watching over” in the good way.
