Golly, why didn’t the media harass obama after disasters as they do Trump?

A tale of two Presidents.

The media is actively trying to discredit Donald Trump’s effort to rescue Puerto Rico, even to the point of creating fake news.

And more of it can be seen here

The media concern for the victims of disasters, natural and otherwise, was suspended while Barack Obama was President. Obama blew it after hurricane Sandy:

Mr. Obama and his top aides flustered and blustered and bloviated over their superior pre-storm planning. The president vowed that nothing — nothing — would stop him from saving New York and New Jersey from the vicious storm. He pledged to be on the case around the clock, come hell or high water. And then he blew out of town, headed to Vegas.

The storm hit one week ago. What is the status of the states hardest hit? Dire. There are still 2.5 million without power, and temperatures have dipped into the 20s (another powerful storm is blowing up the coast and expected to hit the region by midweek). Bodies are still being recovered in Staten Island. Chaos reigns in the streets of the outer boroughs. Residents have taken up arms — baseball bats, machetes, shotguns — as crime and looting soar. Handmade signs popped up: “Looters Will Be Shot” and “Block Protected By Smith & Wesson.”

“It’s like the Wild West, a borderline lawless situation,” said one resident as he stockpiled knives, a machete and a bow and arrow.

Just a day after the storm, frightened citizens queued up for hours in lines to buy gas: Five days later, when the federal government announced free gas (well, free for storm victims; U.S. taxpayers foot the bill), thousands flooded the handout sites. Armed police battled some who cut lines as frustration ran high. At one site for free gas, the line was 16 hours long.

Six days after the storm, officials distributed dry ice (uh, a refrigerator’s contents spoils in about six hours without power). FEMA ran out of potable water to hand out to the trapped and powerless Saturday — the agency hadn’t ordered more until late Friday, so new shipments aren’t expected until Monday at the earliest.

And when flooding struck Louisiana leaving many dead, obama found himself simply unable to leave the golf course and his vacation:

Not even the worst natural disaster since Superstorm Sandy could pry President Obama away from the golf course Wednesday.

With 11 people dead and 40,000 homes damaged by floods in Louisiana, Mr. Obama did speak with Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Craig Fugate Wednesday from his vacation spot in Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.

The White House said Mr. Fugate “briefed the president on the resources that have been provided to support the response and recovery.” Mr. Obama directed FEMA to use “all resources available” to help in the recovery.

But there were no changes in travel plans announced for the president, who is scheduled to stay on the island until Sunday.

Instead, Mr. Obama headed out later Wednesday to play more golf, his eighth round on the links since arriving on the island on Aug. 6.

A local paper begged obama to pay a visit:

Now that the flood waters ravaging Louisiana are receding, it’s time for President Barack Obama to visit the most anguished state in the union.

Last week, as torrential rains brought death, destruction and misery to Louisiana, the president continued his vacation at Martha’s Vineyard, a playground for the posh and well-connected.

It noted that obama had time for a Hillary Clinton fundraiser:

Like his predecessors, Obama has no doubt discovered that crises keep their own calendar, even when commanders-in-chief are trying to take some time off the clock. It’s an inconvenience of the presidency, but it’s what chief executives sign up for when they take the oath of office.

And if the president can interrupt his vacation for a swanky fundraiser for fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton, as he did on Monday, then surely he can make time to show up for a catastrophe that’s displaced thousands.

Zing.

And then there were the riots in Milwaukee. Obama? Fore!

Obama, who is on his final summer retreat to the Massachusetts island as president, has spent almost every night out on the town for unusually late hours, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.

On Sunday, as protesters hurled rocks at Milwaukee police officers to protest the shooting of an armed black man, Obama gathered his security and press entourage to go out at nearly 11 p.m. for an “unspecified ‘social event.’” He returned home just before 1 a.m. Monday and played a round of golf later that day, his seventh of his trip since arriving on Aug. 6. Obama was on the golf course for five hours earlier in the day on Sunday.

And you know who did go to Louisiana? Donald Trump.

I get it. Reporters (or should I say pundits, because now they are all pundits) are largely liberals who hate Trump and hate conservatives. That should not matter if journalism is the intent. They are supposed to do their jobs and report the facts of events, free of commentary. Today there is no “news.” Figures like Charlie Rose and Chuck Todd tell you what they want you to believe. They can never refrain from injecting opinion into your face. And for some reason, they mostly gave obama a pass every time he screwed up. I wonder why that is.

As for Puerto Rico:

  • FEMA search and rescue teams have accessed 90 percent of Puerto Rico, conducting search and rescue operations and helping to assess hospitals.  FEMA US&R task forces saved or assisted 843 individuals and five pets, while searching over 2,600 structures as of September 27.
  • The National Guard Bureau (NGB) has thousands of Guard members on the ground in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands taking part in security and support operations. The Air National Guard is focused on transporting food, water, and communications capabilities as well as rapidly increasing airlift into affected areas.
  • There are thousands of federal staff, including more than 600 FEMA personnel, on the ground in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands engaged in response and recovery operations from Hurricanes Maria and Irma.

Most liberal journalists are life long Demacrats/Socialists and Obama worshipers they grovel at his feet kiss his rings and wash his little tootsies with oil and bow to his image

Golly, why didn’t the media harass obama after disasters as they do Trump?

I don’t seem to recall Obama publicly attacking the media, television news networks, reporters, and journalists every other time he opened his mouth. So, maybe there’s that. One thing consistent about humans is human nature. Trump chose to make the media his enemy. What did he expect in return?

Could it be that everyone simply expects liberals to fail and bungle every task but expect far more of the adults in the room, Republicans, when crisis arises?

@Greg:

I don’t seem to recall Obama publicly attacking the media, television news networks, reporters, and journalists every other time he opened his mouth.

Well, except for Fox News. But, why the hell would he? They covered for his failures and hid his scandals… which is what this article is about.

Are you saying that the media lying about Trump is justified because Trump openly calls the media out for lying? That’s weird.

The best things of Obama no longer in the whitehouse is they wont be closing a golf coarse or moving a military wedding just so this a–hole can play a few rounds and no marine will have to hold his #$%*(*&^^% umbrella so Obama wont get wet and melt like with Dorthy and the wicked witch

@DrJohn: I don’t think he meant to write that out loud.

C’mon man, it’s greg…

It’s been apparent for a long time that the press are democrat propagandists with bylines. (Comment to Dr. John)

@Greg:

Those on a pedestal seldom criticize those that he has walked over to get to that pedestal. People rarely criticize those that are idolizing them, especially when they’re in the process of kissing his butt.

Note: this is not a serious comment.

Ah….. I have a solution to the problem. I watched Gray’s Anatomy tonight and they had a case where a woman needed a huge skin transplant. They had to do a search for tissue that closely matched, so the skin tones would blend. Now, since the major problem in the world is ‘white privilege’, we could start a program of doing skin grafts onto those that are severely underprivileged because of their color. When you get right down to it, you’d only have to do the face, neck and arms/hands and that would totally transform the person. They would then be able to walk and chew gum at the same time. While the total amount of white tissue available for transplant might seem to be limited, the earth could implement a program of cloning white tissue and then we may be able to totally eliminate everything except white skin in just a few short years.

This seems like such a simple solution, I wonder why no one has thought of it before. Maybe we need to get a list of those wanting a transplant and get started.

@Redteam: Michael Jackson thought of it, too.

@DrJohn: I think even some liberals are getting sick and embarrassed by the blatant bias.

The New York Slimes and FNN(Fake News Network)call trump dumb for rejecting the Paris Accord the realy stui[pid ones work for the New York Slimes and Fake News Network

PR union truckers are refusing to drive until FEMA works under their terms and conditions. The union (reps?) say they have drivers that are ready and able but have told their drivers to stand down until they (the union) can negotiate terms with FEMA. They claim that FEMA didn’t go through them and a bunch of other nonsense.

The relief supplies are literally sitting on the docks and in the ports but cannot be trucked in to the needed areas.

Actually BHO did attack the press. He wiretapped some and intimidated others. No outcry from their colleagues, very little objections. The press is on the same progressive team as the uniparty.
All the above is from my rather weak memory

@Greg:

I don’t seem to recall Obama publicly attacking the media, television news networks, reporters, and journalists every other time he opened his mouth.

That’s because he didn’t know enough about what was going on to open his mouth about it. and Obozo wasn’t going to publicly attack the ass-kissing media no matter what they did. Trump is a mover/shaker. Obozo was a follower/idol.

@Greg: really….so from the day Trump announced the msm has dogged him.

@Greg: Obama did attack the press that did not elevate and protect him as he wished. Fox and individual journalists were publically and privately targeted. Sheryl Attkisson, James Rosen….whistleblowers prosecuted, more than other administrations combined. His media just minimized or ignored negative news about him.
