Once again a liberal judge has imposed a stay on Donald Trump’s revised travel pause, but this time it required some theatrical legerdemain. Hawaii judge Derrick Watson issued the stay based not on the Constitution, but rather on his ability to read Donald Trump’s mind.
When federal courts in Hawaii and Maryland blocked Trump’s revised travel ban from taking effect, the judges spelled out their major concern: the unusual record of statements by the president and his advisers suggesting the executive order’s real purpose was to discriminate against Muslims, in violation of the Constitution’s ban on officially favoring or disfavoring any religion.
Never mind the billion Muslims that weren’t affected. Never mind the fact that countries on the list were out there by obama. Never mind the fact that the countries on the list aren’t able to properly vet those seeking refuge in the US. Never mind that Trump has every Constitutional right to do what he did. Never mind that the Constitution does not apply to the world.
All that matters is the ability of liberal judges to read minds and act based not on the law, but on feelings. It is clear that the liberal game plan it is to issue these stays of every Trump action, no matter how legal it is. The ability of liberal judges to divine the minds of Republican leaders is the new basis for the law.
It’s ironic that some dipstick Hawaiian judge would issue the ruling he did. Back in 2015 the Governor of Hawaii asserted that Hawaii would be happy to accept Syrian refugees.
HONOLULU (AP) – Hawaii Gov. David Ige says the state would welcome refugees from Syria with aloha.
Ige said in a statement Monday that Hawaii and the U.S. have a long history of welcoming refugees affected by war and oppression.
Ige spokeswoman Jodi Leong says it’s too early to speculate on how many may come to Hawaii as the governor hasn’t been contacted by President Barack Obama or his administration.
The governor says “Hawaii is the Aloha State, known for its tradition of welcoming all people with tolerance and mutual respect.”
That set off a firestorm that blew up in his face and Ige was forced to eat his words.
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The day after he touched off a furor over Syrian refugees in Hawaii, Gov. David Ige said he doesn’t believe the state will see a huge influx from the war-torn country.
“I suppose in hindsight I should probably be more thoughtful about my statements,” he said during a news conference Tuesday.
He added the chances of Syrian refugees actually coming to the islands is low.
“In the last decade, zero have come. How many might show up in the next month? I would guess it would be zero. But whatever refugees are fleeing from oppression and abuse anywhere in the world, we will assimilate them.”
Hawaiians don’t want Syrian refugees littering their liberal paradise:
The governor said his office was inundated by about 500 telephone calls, many of them against the measure.
“I think we have a big enough problem with the homeless we have here that I don’t even know where anyone else would go,” said Patty Birdsall of Kailua.
Michael O’Connor, also of Kailua, added: “You feel empathy for these people but on the other hand you don’t want somebody shooting up Honolulu, you know.”
The Maryland judge who parroted Watson, Theodore Chuang – another flamer obama appointee who thinks judges are free to legislate from the bench – also is considering that Trump double the number of refugees imported into the US. These kinds of games are two way streets.
If I am Trump, I divide up the incoming Syrian refugees. I send 40,000 to Hawaii and 10,000 to Chuang’s neighborhood.

This judge got his job because Sen Reid messed with the 60 vote min. (he got only 53 votes.)
He was put up by Obama as a reward for stonewalling Congress for a long time over the Benghazi affair.

This judge thinks the temporary ban violates the Constitutional rights of citizens of other countries that have never been here; they don’t even TRY to pretend to be acting lawfully.
Sadly, there are still enough sore losers remaining to support this, pretending it serves some purpose besides obstructing the duly elected President that defeated their heir-apparent.
