America resoundingly rejected the Obama agenda, handing the Republican Party the strongest presence and power in government across America it has had since the Depression, and yet Obama travels the world in denial. Denial and blame. Denial, blame, and a bewildered vision. Seemingly oblivious that he was standing at pulpits in foreign sovereignties, Obama has continued his divisive rhetoric. Apparently incapable of introspection, denying realities weighing on middle Americans, accepting no responsibility, blaming Clinton for a historic political loss, agitating for a new breed of community organizer, and blindly promoting globalism, he continued his attack on America.
This is the outgoing President who anointed African dictators with a magnitude of credibility only the powerful White House could provide through a state dinner. He decimated Libya, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, unleashing radicalism across the Middle East, and shattering the EU borders with millions of refugees — bomb members of these Arab countries into the ether, but don’t call them Muslims. He guaranteed nuclear power to Iran, financed their long range missile program, and gave the Castro brothers even more wealth and more forceful power over their depressed people.
The saccharine-dowsed hugfest he manifested with ideological acolyte Chancellor Merkel ignores the reality of the disarray that the globalist agenda has promoted and engendered. To distract from the failures of his policies, he scattered the charge of racism randomly like a farmer running his spreader. Instigating separation, while denigrating half of America as backward, bigoted, gun-clingers, hardly fits in the “uniting” side of the pretense, regardless what neuron gesticulation your brain might contrive.
Clearly ignorant of the fact that from coast to coast Americans feel disenfranchised, and knowing the Nation has repudiated his policies, Obama further insults half of America for advocating a “Crude form of nationalism, or tribalism,” and refers to “Darker forces” opposing his free trade fantasies. How is he so lacking of vision that he can deny conspicuous affirmation of human nature evidenced in America and around the world? Should he go back just a few years and review the liberating collapse of the USSR?
Divisive in America, but preaching borderless globalism? The incoherent hubris will not be inhibited, “So my vision may not always win the day in the short run, but I am confident it will win the day in the long run.” Sure, let’s usher in the commune idea without borders, and let’s do it nationally, you know, that communist concept Cubans enjoy so much.
In the twilight of his term the President’s assertions of incomprehensible illusions on his foreign travels conflict with his homespinning nation-dissection at home — further confusing a Nation already stumbling from a confounding eight years of his leadership.
As America gathers to celebrate Thanks Giving, it also recognizes in gratitude the awakening which set in motion the creation of a thriving, invigorated and successful Nation. In 1611 Sir Thomas Dale, deputy-governor of Virginia, overturned the “system of communal ownership of land and property,” (The Noblest Triumph, by Tom Bethell) that had been the root cause of massive death and starvation amongst the new settlers in Virginia. Settlers were each given three acres of land. Historian Matthew Page Andrews wrote in Virlginia: The Old Dominion, “As soon as the settlers were thrown upon their own resources, . . . . An aptitude for all kinds of craftsmanship coupled with an innate genius for experimentation and inventions.” THAT is human nature. Sir Thomas Dale recognized it and energized it over 400 years ago.
Indeed there is much to be grateful for this Thanks Giving.
A constituent of the vast baby boomer generation with a career which has been fortunate to know the ponderous corporate worlds, as well as the intimately pressurized, and invigorating entrepreneurial domains of high tech and venture capital, I have harvested my share of mistakes meandering through corridors of enterprise from Silicon Valley, to London and endless, colourful, sometimes praetorian points in between. The voyage has provided an abundance of fodder for a pen yielding to an inquisitive keyboard, a foraging mind, and a passionate spirit.
Whether political or business or social or economic or personal, is it not all political? It is a privilege to write, and an even greater privilege to be read by anyone, and sometimes with the wind at my back the writing may occasionally be legible. I do not write to invite scorn, nor to invite respect, but if I get really lucky the writing can stimulate thinking. I also write for the very selfish purpose of animating my own processes, and engaging the best of what life offers. Above all, whether biting fire or swatting shadows, I am grateful to be gifted the freedom to write and publish whatever flows down to the keyboard. To all those who enabled this freedom, and to all those standing guard to preserve it, I am indebted.
America can not wait to rid herself of the terrible mistake of electing this president.

Other nations love Obama’s campaign to weaken the United States, so they can be more competitive. I’m sure they will sing a different tune the first time they need massive, immediate US aid in response to a natural disaster or attack.

The original show was ok as it had real competitive people that were seriously vying for a job with Trump.
