An American Revolution

I am not sure people understand how big this thing is. I am not sure people understand how big Trump’s victory was. Donald Trump didn’t just beat Hillary. He beat everybody. It’s the damnedest thing I’ve ever seen, but there is an underlying theme and message to it all. We have just witnessed another American Revolution. This was a total repudiation by the people – and not just of Hillary.

Trump beat Hillary, sure.

He also beat obama.

He beat the pollsters.

He beat the legacy media.

He beat Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood.

He beat the DNC.

He beat Hollywood celebrities.

He beat Jon Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen.

He beat Donna Brazile. That’s just for starters.

He also beat the GOP establishment.

He beat the Bush’s.

He beat Lindsey Graham.

Trump has ended the era of the Bush’s and the Clinton’s. Both dynasties opposed him. Soon he will begin to dismantle the damage Barack Obama has done to this country.

With Republicans maintaining control of the House and Senate, President-elect Trump would be in a position to repeal large parts of Obama’s legislative agenda, repeal his executive orders with a stroke of a pen, and install conservative Supreme Court justices.

It is a tall order.

Trump beat Trump too. People voted for him despite all of his stupid remarks. People were starving for change- for an outsider. They wanted change so badly they were able to overlook the dumb things he’s said and done. Trump even got more of the black and latino vote than did Romney. That’s astonishing.

In the end Trump became the symbol of hope to everyone who voted for him. He made them feel that they have a voice in the country again and that just maybe someone cares about them and not just Wall St and the wealthy elite. They feel like perhaps corruption in government can be ended. That’s a very potent emotion and while Trump should not be given completely free reign it’s something that Congress needs to keep in mind over the next four years. People chose Trump’s message. As long as he tries to make good on it they best help or get out of the way.

There’s a revolution happening. The damnedest thing I’ve ever seen.

Uh…Trump didn’t beat any of those…

The People beat them. They didn’t let 24/7 propaganda tell them what to think, or to browbeat them into not voting.

Media blasting pro-Hillary/pro-Dem info all the time — didn’t work.

This isn’t about Trump…it’s about the fact that people voted for someone that was essentially a true Moderate, essentially not part of the Democrats or Republicans (Trump’s not really a Republican).

It’s not about Trump, it’s about us. This differs from the cult of personality displayed in 2008/2012.

Saner heads have prevailed, thank God.

DrJ, “Revolution” is about right. And somehow Trump did it spending a small fraction of what Clinton, bankers, and 1%ers spent.

There was also enough pushback on the MSM from independent outlets providing some balance, including FA.

Trump was able to get support from minorities, many of whom remained quiet about their intentions. The pollsters were clueless.

The MSM still has no idea what happened. You can see in the New Yorker, the typical pathetic continuation of well-worn talking points, like this ignorant airhead, still yelling, “racists.”

The MSM may never get it, but they’ll continue to navel-gaze in baffled incomprehension.

People are confused that so many supported a bad mouthed candidate . . . . it had less to with him, but what many wanted and what everyone knew — that, “He had not been bought. By anyone.” Unlike ALL the others.

@Nathan Blue, #1:

Clinton won a majority of the popular vote. If you’ve got a revolution, it isn’t a revolution of the majority. So far as saner heads go—you may think you know what you voted for, but you don’t really have a clue yet what you got.

Your assertion about democratic propaganda is a typical load of horsesh-t. Trump—a man without a firm position on anything—was elected as the result of an endless propaganda campaign against his opponent centering on endless investigations, fueled with taxpayer dollars, and with the repeated assistance of Russian hackers, Julian Assange, and rogue elements inside the FBI who pretty much took a dump on the Hatch Act and the integrity of the FBI as an impartial, politically unbiased investigative organization. Any effort to point that out, or to point out any of the elephant-in-the-room questions concerning Trump, was characterized as anti-Trump propaganda.

I’ll accept the results of the election, but not allegations that it was Clinton that ran a dirty campaign or engaged in deception. You have elected a man who has lied so routinely about every person who has gotten in his way, republican or democrat, that his supporters finally became totally desensitized to it. That’s a fact. It remains to be seen if that was only to get elected, or if it will become the norm in the office itself.

I have nothing more to say on the topic. The election is now a done deal.

A bloodless coup, unless you count those that will end it all because their candidate did not win. Her punishment to them was not coming out and consoling them at 3 in the morning another 3 am call she ignored.
The left media still trying to find the correct box to put these rebels in, Van Jones put them into the racist box, we just couldnt live with a successful black president, uhhh Obama got maximum time to build a legacy. But they still think name calling is effective wtf? For over a year they called the proud deplorables every filthy name they could make up. uhhh ineffective, we are without blood if they let us taking it back, all of it. We want nice things for us and our kids, healthcare, education, housing, our stinky mundane 40 hour a week jobs with pathetic benies, safe neighborhoods, ok racial relations, religious freedom and the PC brainwashing colleges need rude and sudden awakening.
The only difference between us and them, we will work our asses off to earn all of the nice things.

It is a revolution by the people for the people. I feel the shackles of tyranny broken. They were put on by both parties. I feel like I can breathe again, that I have a voice again. Trump was the mouthpiece for this movement. I was so tired of being told “that’s not what America is”. Tired of being called names that were not true: racist, homophobic, ignorant etc. Told we were “Clinging to their Bibles and their guns” at a prayer breakfast. That really stuck in my craw. My daughter told me to stay off FB because people were going nuts, attacking all who voted for Trump. Said I would get too pissed off. So I have enjoyed this moment in political history like no other. I have been singing this all day and share it and hope you enjoy it too.

@Greg: Greggie Greggie Greggie, leading with the popular vote which means less than zero!! With respect to the popular vote which you obviously don’t recognize is the fact that many Republican voters in New York and California don’t vote because their states are full of libturds. Trump won as a Republican and will begin a process to correct the failed policies of Obola. Starting with Obolacare, Iran, and ILLEGAL immigrants!! He will also put real Judges in the Supreme Court. Hilldabeast was a flawed candidate with a flawed campaign!!

If this inappropriate as a link, I am sorry. I just wanted to add some levity and don’t know why it is not posting. Ding Dong the wicked witch is dead! The witch is dead. Hi Ho!The wicked witch is dead. She goes where the goblins go! Hi Ho! Look it up on YouTube if you like. And it ain’t just about Hillary.

@Greg: Last I heard Hillary only won the popular vote by 200,000. Maybe it will change. I am surprised she did but that is really, really small.

When you rule with a “pen and a phone”, your legacy is wide open to the next President with an eraser.

I have been in South Florida the past week and saw nothing but Trump signs. I wore my Hillary for Prison t-shirt and so many people said they liked it, usually in a whisper, afraid I think, of personal backlash. Young and old alike. So FL was not a surprise to me.

@Nostradamus: Yep!

@Songbird, #8:

Clinton’s popular vote win margin is small. The relevant point is that she was favored by half of the voters in the country. It’s something to keep in mind when republicans invariably begin talking about having mandates to do this or that—particularly having just elected an unknown quantity to be president.

President Trump’s First Term. This appeared in the New Yorker back in September.

Opinions in New York are of course divided.

@Greg: how many of the popular vote were dead, felons, illegals, foreign nationals, disney characters , multiple voters, fake ballots and on and on? That popular vote means nothing. If hil-liary thought it did, she would not have conceded. she would have killed her family on the stage if she thought it would have gotten her the win. Many died during her quest when they got in the way.

obama went on tv and begged illegals to vote telling them there would be bo repercussions. .

@Greg: You know Greg, you often talk about your military experience in the military. From a command point of view, I have tried to determine just what job you would qualify to do. Then it hit me. You were in charge of the burnout latrines. The burning diesel and excrement fumes affected your brain. This explains your silly trains of thought.

Why don’t you check on that, find the verified numbers, and get back to us with them? You seem to have forgotten that the election ceases being rigged if Trump wins.

@Greg: Your own propaganda failed, and the majority is clearly with Trump. Hand-held poor and minorities voting for Hillary by way of white/wealthy Democratic exploitation don’t count. The majority want Trump.

Yes, you have nothing more to say on the matter, as you’ve never contributed in the first place. Somehow, covering your own defeat won’t stop you from posting more propaganda, I’m sure.

Yes…the Dems had blind propaganda in the way of media and entertainment. Only a list would deny that.

Trumps victory is only a surprise to the elites.

@Enchanted: That’s why the popular vote means less than zero. Without voter ID the popular vote has little value!!

A piece of good news. Sherriff Joe Arpaio got beat.

The electoral college just saved us from being ruled by the liberal loonies in west coast and upper east coast who know nothing of flyover America or what it needs or doesnt need from the government. The loonies fleeing to Republican run Texas for the jobs they voted away in their states are turning texas purple.
Trump 52.6% 4,681,590 38
D H. Clinton 43.4% 3,867,816
Soon they will ruin what they fled to.

@Enchanted:

how many of the popular vote were dead, felons, illegals, foreign nationals, disney characters , multiple voters, fake ballots and on and on?

Exactly. It would be interesting to find those numbers out, not that the DOJ would do anything about it.

@Nathan Blue, #16:

Your own propaganda failed, and the majority is clearly with Trump.

I think “a majority” might be properly defined as a number that is greater than one-half—as in, “A majority of college-educated voters cast their votes for Hillary Clinton.”

@Greg: Sorry Greggie wrong again, the defined number is the number of Electoral College votes of which Trump clearly trounced hilldabeast. American votes don’t just include college-educated voters Greggie. The idea of a popular voter is laughable given the known voter fraud that takes place.

@Richard Wheeler: Wow, this is huge news Richard. Right up there with hilldabeast getting trounced by Trump eh??

@Common Sense: We can agree the lesser educated voted for Trump. Makes perfect sense.
Sheriff Joe loses–one less elected racist. Excellent.

@Greg: Typical bigoted, white Democrat male…

The majority is clearly with the Trump, and the propaganda-lead Democrat-owned media has to flood the underestimated, under-worked with false narratives about who voted for Trump.

The dumb clods did it…it doesn’t count…

You are truly a hate-monger, and I think you need to take a break and rethink your life. You’ve done nothing here except spread hate.

@Richard Wheeler: I voted for Trump and I have a Master’s…the “stats” are not accurate, either. I’m under no obligation to tell anyone what level of education I have (and I’ve not responded in any way I know), so how does anyone really know the stats on education? Why does that matter? If I said uneducated voted for Hillary, the NYT and Wash Post would spin that as a positive.

The bigotry and relativism on the level is absurd.

Sheriff Joe: a mistake in screening during 2007 campaign of the Chosen One…gotta destroy him, unethically.

False claims of rape and racism are what the Democrats do to bury they’re challengers, and it’s evil.

Hey Rich…I heard you are racist, and you raped somebody.

So you’re now, officially…without being convicted of a crime…and racist rapist…

The above is just a bad illustration. I know you’re a good guy, Rich.

@Richard Wheeler: Rich, I gotta call you out on the less educated voted for Trump. What is you source? I have a Masters Degree and smart enough to know that hilldabeast would NOT be a good President. What I see in the streets of our major cities does not support your argument either. Also what is your source for Sheriff Joe being a racist?? My view is that the BLM movement is pure racism but that doesn’t make me a racist but rather a realist.

@Common Sense: Oh goody..Me the debate moderator
Rich, CS says you are a snob and think everyone but you is a dumb ass, and Nate is about to drop the bombshell proof that you rape racists. Oh nevermind it was just a CNN flashback, I stopped when I saw blood…oops, oh lets just legalize drugs and all get high. And from a pulitzer prize weiner

@Richard Wheeler:

The idea that “the less educated voted for Trump” is another nonsense credentialist canard of SJW propaganda. Just because one sits in a room for 4 years paying to be indoctrinated in laughable leftist groupthink and receives documentation of their wasted time does not mean they are more educated – particularly if they took out tens of thousands of dollars in student loans to earn the equivalent of an underwater basket-weaving “degree” that results in a lack of employment sufficient to pay back the student loans.

The immaturity of the “educated” Clinton voters is so clearly displayed by the property damage they committed in California during their election night protests. I don’t recall those who voted against Obama engaging in such violence in 2008 or 2012 when they were on the losing side.

What is particularly telling about the childish left is the ridiculous attitude that Trump needs to kowtow to the whims of those who lost the election in order to be considered “legitimate”. I clearly recall Obama snidely commenting to McCain that Obama could do what he wanted, because, “I won.”

The Founders put the electoral college in place specifically to prevent the tyranny of the majority they knew would occur with large cities over the rest of the country. Trump won in MICHIGAN, WISCONSIN and PENNSYLVANIA, of all places, despite the sneering of the “educated” class calling his intelligence into question for spending time campaigning in what had been considered democrat strongholds. He won by the rules of the system, no matter how many tantrums are thrown by the left .

It is another example of the hypocrisy of the left to see the twitter posts calling out for “someone to hire a sniper” to assasinate Trump, when they supported Hillary’s position on gun confiscation.

@Greg:

If you look at the county by county breakdown, she won a few dozen out of hundreds. The left clusters around the coastal cities and where there is population concentration of like minded automatons, you can tally up a lot of votes. Your sour grapes doesn’t wear well, Greg, but it was perfectly predictable. I think a little soul searching would do you some real good. Your values are not the values of this country.

@kitt: Damn Kitt I’ve really stirred the pot–I didn’t vote for either of em. I got a problem with the Trumpeteers and those who nominated HRC,
CS is serious and I’m afraid a hater–his OBOZO slight gets old and irritating–warned him long ago. Nathan is kidding–a moderate thinker.
Dr. Pete like Deplorable Bill–should chill out–we’ll wait and see how their self absorbed Populist turns out–I think they’ve been duped. I’ve been watching Trump, my fellow septagenarian New Yorker, for over 40 years. He’s a NY Dem/Populist and a social Lib.

Great song but obviously not our Nobel prize winner singing.

BTW –Anyone can google the demographics of the voting in this election. Majority of college educated Whites went HRC–Majority of Whites lacking a college degree went Trump.
Trump’s base turned out in greater numbers than HRC’S. Also he outworked her. I said MANY times the PA. winner would be Prez. Give PA AND Mich ONLY 17,000 votes to HRC and IT’S A DEAD HEAT AT 269 By no means was this a blowout–a huge surprise–definitely

I think a little soul searching would do you some real good. Your values are not the values of this country.

Do you honestly believe the values of Donald Trump reflect the values of this country? People should have asked themselves that question.

The values that inform most Democratic Party politicians tend to align with the interests of the average American far better than do those of a billionaire hustler who is essentially repackaging trickle-down economics.

@Greg: She won the two most populist states, NY and CA. Whom ever wins those 2 most likely get the populist vote.
Is the billionare hustler you speak of is HIllary, correct?

@Richard Wheeler: Actually, it was the people who work who voted for Trump and those who lost jobs as a result of Obama and the Clintons. There was a very good run down of the voting categories last night.

@Greg: How do you know what Trumps values are? You are making assumptions based upon hot air. We do know what Hillary’s values are based upon 30 plus years of observations. You’re just a sore loser with emphasis on loser.

@Randy: The people who lost jobs as a result of The Clintons?? How bout The Bushs’?? How does that compute.?

NOTGREG It’s popular not populist

What progressives should take from this election is that they take from the people who work and use the money to buy votes. isn’t working any more. If they want to govern, they must be fair to all!

@Richard Wheeler: Actually, the correct word is “populous”, in the context of the two states with the highest populations. In the second context, “popular” vote is correct. So much for public education.

@Nathan Blue:

It seems to me that Sheriff Joe is now available for a choice position under the Trump administration. Perhaps the DHS, FBI (investigating the Clinton Foundation), US Immigration and Naturalization Service, Boarder Patrol…

@Randy, #35:

How do you know what Trumps values are?

I listened closely to what he said. I paid attention to what people who had business dealings with him said. I took note of his frequent total disregard for the truth. I noticed his willingness to slander anyone, his general disrespect for anyone in his way, and his tendency to pull everything down to the level he wanted to operate on. I noted his vanity and a level of egotism that borders on the pathological. This is a man who will have to be the center of attention at all times and who will create situations to that end. I noted that he constantly encouraged and exploited negative energies of the sort that bind together angry mobs, but divide nations.

Maybe I’m wrong. Or maybe I’m part of slightly more than half of the voters who know trouble when they see it coming. What I think is that people were so busy hating Clinton that they didn’t pay enough attention to what they were choosing instead.

“The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy.”
Donald Trump, November 7, 2012.

I’m guessing he has reversed his position on that at some point during the past 24 hours.

Greg, Your ignorance of basic US political structure is showing.

The popular vote count is meaningless as an aggregate. The US is not based on a parliamentary system. We are 50 nations voting for the federal system. A representative democracy. So, it was 50 simultaneous contests where each one would provide 1 or 2 points from the senate – equal representation for each state and one or more from a total of 438 based on population within each state.

the 5.48 Million in California gave her 53 votes from a population basis and 2 votes from a state for a total of 55 electoral votes
The states Texas, Oklahoma & Wisconsin gave Trump 55 Electoral votes
6 for the 3 states (2 from each state) and 49 for the population counts
TX – 4.68; OK – .94; WI – 1.40 = which totals to 7.02 Million f

Math skills tell me that 5.48 million votes in California is less than the 7.02 Million from the 3 states.
So – cease moaning about the popular vote. It is a non sequitur as it is only used within each state and not for the country as a whole.

This is basic US political structure as designed by the founding father 200+ years ago. The structure was designed to prevent the high population centres (cities) from getting everything over the low pop areas (Rural).
Look at the Europeans – UK – London has the largest pop so therefore what London votes on is usually what is for the country – as with the rest of Europe.
They are Parlimentary systems.

Go take an refresher course on Politics 100 and Statistics 100

@Greg:

Your ignorance of the Constitution remains on display for all to see. Whenever the leftist do not agree with an election outcome, evidence 2000 and now 2016, they fall back on the crutch that their candidate won the popular vote and therefore was the choice of the people.

But, a presidential election has never been determined by popular vote because of the Constitution. And that in and of itself describes the antipathy those on the left have to not only the Constitution, but the Declaration of Independence as well.

Imagine for a moment had algore been president as a result of winning the popular vote in 2000. We now know even more than we did then what a nut case algore is. And now, America has avoided putting an unindicted felon, a corrupt politician, and a truly despicable individual in the WH.

Must say I’ve been reading the posts/comments on Flopping Aces for years and never commented on anything.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the comments from all!!

Why post today? Well… the electoral vote vs the popular vote has been brought up in my work place. I just don’t understand how anyone in this day and age can not self educate themselves on topics prior to their mouth opening up and spew out crap?!

My reply was PLEASE READ THE CONSITITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES!

I probably won’t comment again but just wanted you to know how refreshing it is to see adult conversations whether you agree to disagree or NOT!

@Richard Wheeler: #31 Well nuthin like tossing in a hand grenade and then going to bed Rich. BTW I have a degree in Robotics and automated manufacturing. The issue should never be formal education there are millions of college grads that are dumb as a box of rocks, must hire someone to remove a hair clog from the trap of the sink. Cant reset a breaker, have no idea what a GFCI is cant replace a pane of glass or replace the screen in a sliding glass door. Colleges teach nothing but group think and once they graduate they believe they know it all, its like they turn 14 all over again.
The dems just want to believe they are more intelligent and sophisticated as a flock.
Dont forget wikileaks is still releasing good stuff, everyone

Looks like the ”revolution” is just getting started.
Tues night at Hillary headquarters so-called ”feminists” fainted, had sobbing fits, fanned themselves.
These are the same females who claimed they wanted an equal place with men in combat!

Then Hillary and Obama came out and called for a peaceful transition.
So, who rioted?
Who ”demonstrated?”
Who used riots and demonstrations as excuses for stealing cars, beating people, looting and arson?
Hillary and Obama supporters.

Just the opposite of what we were all warned about.
Is it going to end soon?
Will it continue until Trump takes power and has to stop it himself?

Yeah, here are more examples of “educated” Clinton voters demonstrating how tolerant, civil, and inclusive they are for being (allegedly) “educated”. Now start searching for any such childish tantrums from the losing side when Obama was elected in 2008 and 2012.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3922098/The-backlash-begins-Disgruntled-anti-Trump-protesters-refuse-accept-election-result-gather-New-York-cities-country.html

http://www.infowars.com/people-have-to-die-anti-trump-protester-calls-for-violence-on-cnn/

I mean, this Clinton devotee just drips with education:

‘PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE’: ANTI-TRUMP PROTESTER CALLS FOR VIOLENCE ON CNN
“There will be casualties on both sides. There will be, because people have to die to make a change in this world.”

http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/local/Berkeley-High-School-Walks-Out-After-Donald-Trump-Named-President-400558221.html

“They’re angry,” Berkeley High Principal Sam Pasarow told NBC Bay Area, who did not want students to be interviewed directly. “They’re crying and they feel unsafe. There’s a great amount of solidarity.”

Yeah…these crybabies are so weak mentally that they have to herd together to emote all over themselves to feel SAFE!!! This is a stunning example of leftist immaturity and self-absorption. Why would any sane person ever give their so-called ‘education’ and credence whatsoever? You want these twits given adult responsibility? How laughable.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2016/11/09/yale-professor-makes-midterm-optional-for-students-distraught-over-trump-win.html

Think about this for a minute. The so-called prestigious Yale University ECONOMICS department allows a mid-term exam to be made optional because crybabies are shocked that their candidate lost the election? Honestly, real Americans are supposed to be in awe of the vaunted “education” of Hillary voters, but they can’t go to class because their “educated” minds are having an emotional breakdown?

The election wasn’t just a Trump win of the Oval Office. The Congress remains republican majority. The GOP gained more state governorships. In liberal Colorado – which voted for the loser criminal Hillary – voters resoundingly rejected a single-payor socialist health system by an 80% to 20% result.

This election was the awakening of real Americans speaking loudly saying, “ENOUGH!” to the arrogant leftist push for the destruction of western capitalist philosophy and Christian moral principles in their march to progressive tyranny. Now they are doing their best collectivist impersonations of a 14 year old spoiled whining little girl stomping her feet, slamming her bedroom door while screaming, “I HATE you!!!” because her parents have grounded her in punishment for failing all her classes and refusing to do her chores.

Yeah…but the left is so much more EDUCATED than we conservatives….LOL

@Pete: Trump got one million fewer votes than Romney—HRC six million fewer than BHO in 2016.
Two very unpopular candidates. Dem voters particularly in inner cities like Detroit stayed home. That was Repub. plan and it worked.

ON A BRIGHTER NOTE HAPPY BIRTDAY TO MY FELLOW MARINES

@Pete: Well said. A day away from these liberal universities is actually a good thing given the indoctrination that goes on there. The idea of education and voter preference are disgusting. If liberals where so smart then how could they have nominated such a flawed candidate. Voter statistics show that they didn’t show up to vote in key states versus Trump getting large numbers of new voters. A quick look in the mirror by liberals and their failed candidate reveals the real truth.

#46

Beat me to it, pointing out that the supposed peaceful, educated, tolerant ones who claimed the rednecks would riot if Obama was elected (which was notable by it’s absence) are now the ones displaying the unwillingness to accept the results of the election.

I’d like to add that most lefties completely miss the reason I’ve most heard from Trump voters. Almost to a person (although, I live in a lefty state, so the sample is small), they didn’t necessarily like Trump or his policies or his personality, they weren’t voting Trump because they were/are racist, misogynist, etc.

They voted Trump because he was the only viable option to Hillary.

Even my wife (who I lovingly refer to as my token bleeding heart liberal when it comes to politics), who has reliably voted Democrat since I’ve known her voted for Trump specifically because she hated Hillary.

The leaked emails show that the Dems lied, cheated and stole in order to make Hillary their candidate *AND* to did their best to make sure Trump was the Republican candidate, because they thought he was the one they had the best chance of defeating.

Oops. They brought this on themselves, too bad they can’t see (or admit) it’s their own damn fault. Had they run a less dishonest candidate with any degree of integrity and likeability, it would more than likely be the conservatives crying in their beer now.

@Jay: Absolutely Concur. Dems lost it when they nominated HRC–Biden or Jim Webb would have beaten Ttump.
As you said, the reduced Rebub. vote was not pro-Trump–it was anti HRC plus the Obama coalition did not show up for HRC–a severely flawed candidate.

My favorite bumper sticker Vote Trump. Nobody Needs To Know.
