Even When the Radical Left has a Decent Idea, they Get it as Wrong As Possible

A few weeks ago the Radical Left found its Emmanuel Goldstein of the week in the Gadsen flag when this story emerged, via TheĀ American Thinker’s Rick Moran:

According to Eugene Volokh, a UCLA law professor who runs the ā€œVolokh Conspiracyā€ blog at The Washington Post, the EEOC ruled two months ago that it will need to collect more evidence in a case filed in Jan. 2014 by an African American federal employee who complained about his coworker wearing a hat with the Gadsden flag printed on it.

Before we go any further let’s pause for a moment and point out where this could have stopped in a sensible, adult fashion. Why is this complaint going to the EEOC? This should have ended with the offended employee talking to his boss about wearing any political gear in the workplace. Or maybe his coworker? The job is exactly that – your job, and you shouldn’t be rocking Ā any kind of gear that will hurt you and your colleagues’ ability to work together and get the job done. My customer (a federal government agency) has issued numerous advisories against wearing/displaying any kind of political messaging, and good for them. Personally, I have a small Gadsen pin on my backpack that I’m carrying to my office at the start or end of my work day. On the rare occasion that I have my backpack when I’m at the customers’ site when I put my backpack down I’ll turn the side with the pin toward the wall, lest I alienate any coworkers. Of course, turning the Gadsen pin side to the wall leaves my larger steel pin of the Slayer Eagle with the band’s pentagram logo in the middle exposed…

I’m old enough to remember when this would be considered highly offensive…

But back to the story, of course since it’s anti- Tea Party rhetoric we see the incapable-of-understanding-opposing-viewpoints Radical Leftists having to define Tea Party values in something simplistic that they’re able to spiritually understand: the tired straw man of racism. As Reason’s Matt WelchĀ provides some history:

(2009): According to anti-Tea Party commentators, a historical indicator of white resentment against blacks.

(2013): According to the mayor and the city council of New Rochelle, New York, a symbol so “offensive,” so drenched with “right-wing connotations,” that it must immediately be taken down from the New Rochelle Armory.

(February 2014): According to David Tinney, vice president of the International Association of Black Professional Firefighters, the equivalent of the Confederate flag, and therefore reason to (successfully) agitate to remove it from a New Haven fire department’s flagpole.

It’s pretty short, so take a minute toĀ read the whole thing.

Back to Moran’s piece, he breaks down the “reasoning” behind the complaint:

The complainant said that the Gadsden flag, which was designed during the Revolutionary War in 1775 and has become popular with the Tea Party movement, is racist because its designer, Christopher Gadsden, was ā€œa slave trader & owner of slaves.ā€

Yes, that’s the best they have. There’s too much stupid in that comment to break down – you’re either nodding your head in agreement or spitting your beverage of choice on your screen at that kind of idiocy.

And when the Radical Left laments the demise of civility in our political discourse they say it without the slightest bit of self awareness.

On a personal note, you might have noticed I haven’t posted in a while. I hope you haven’t missed me too much, and judging by the lack of feedback you haven’t! Things have been crazy in Bobville on many fronts, but I should be back for the haul now. Look for a new post tomorrow weighing in on the start of the new NFL season and the latest controversy…

The language police have us one election away from a Leftist-derived Newspeak that rivals George Orwell’s original.
Even America’s most revered symbols are being criminalized if the Left gets their way.
What did Hillary just say?
If you support Donald Trump, you are ā€œirredeemable,ā€ part of a ā€œbasket of deplorables.ā€ A ā€œkindā€ who should never be allowed to rise again. You are a ā€œradical fringeā€ made up of ā€œracist,ā€ ā€œsexist,ā€ ā€œhomophobic,ā€ ā€œIslamophobic,ā€ ā€œanti-Semitic,ā€ ā€œmisogynist,ā€ ā€œxenophobic,ā€ ā€œyou name itā€ types. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNgIrfbgqnY
If you support Donald Trump you are no better than ā€œterrorists.ā€
You are ā€œnot America.ā€

Think for an instant that Hillary, if elected, will not act on those words?
She’s been influenced by powerful Muslims around her, like Huma.
These Muslims believe in a takfiri ideology that makes a practice of destroying all of the culture that went before their takeover.
The age of jahiliyyah (ignorance) that preceded the prophet Mohammad had to be destroyed.

Hillary is the latest of the ultra-PC crowd.
As such she will carry this torch of trying to destroy all of our past.
That includes the disappearing of things like the Confederate flag, the legacy of George (slave owner) Washington, Thomas (slave owner) Jefferson, the Gadsen flag, and so much more.
I used to think the Left aligned with Islam in hope of being the last to be destroyed. But lately I think they are natural allies.
Eventually the Left will have to convert to continue living, but so what? They will somehow come out as the leaders of Islam soon afterwards.

@Nanny G: Isn’t it odd that those who support Trump are such despicable, contemptible sub-humans yet he does not have a single position that Bill and Hillary did not support themselves before the political winds blew a different direction? Also odd that currently Bill is calling Trump’s slogan racist, though Bill himself has used it often.

The left tries to undercut any support of a thought they disagree with or any discussion they cannot intellectually keep up with by redefining terms as it suits their ends.

The EEOC just another buracacy and their rediclous rules and regulations the gasden Flag offends the little snowflakes the Pajama Boys sipping herbal tea watching PEEWEES BIG ADVENTURE. Next on their list will be the Eagle being a predator must be replaced with a pink chicken(According to the crack-pots pink is soothing color)then Uncle Sam replaced with Hippy type leaping through the flowers throwing around flowers and the Star Spangled Banner replaced with AGE OF AQUARUIUS or some other drug song of the 70’s

It is a fact that the Obama family were slave owners. Should we out law all of the Obamas and prevent them from being displayed in public?

Ever wonder why the media doesn’t report about the impact of following Obama’s disparate punishment policy in our public schools?
Because, when it was followed, it has been a disaster!

200 educators have resigned from the Highline school district as of June.
The past school year didnā€™t help, with an alleged gang rape, several student deaths and criminal charges, including murder, for a group of boys not yet out of middle school.

Six of the 19 homicide charges filed this year in King County have been brought against current or recent Highline students.

The policy:
Highline would keep its students on campus ā€” even if they cursed at teachers, fought with peers or threw furniture ā€” attempting to address the roots of their behavior through a combination of counseling and academic triage.

http://www.seattletimes.com/education-lab/highline-struggles-with-fallout-of-limiting-student-suspensions/

Suspensions only could take place if EACH RACE got an equal number of suspensions, so, expulsion and home suspensions in the district plummeted 77 percent!

Rather than tossing kids for defiant behavior, teachers were expected to manage their outbursts in class.
One teacher bought a ticket to Southeast Asia One-Way!
She has no intention of ever coming back!

Despicable leftist attempts to destroy anything from American history that demonstrates the nobility and achievements of Western culture.

The rank hypocrisy of the left characterizing the Gadsen flag as racist because Gadsen was a slave trader despite the fact the meaning of the flag having nothing to do with racism or slavery, while concurrently praising the Black Lives Matter thugs (who openly chant about killing cops) is gobsmackingly orwellian doublethink.

It goes along with the insane double standard of denying 1st Amendment rights of Christians in the workplace, while demanding submissive acceptance of LGBT symbols and propaganda.

Anything american and patriotic in america offends the eyes of the little whining pinheads in these collages
