The next generation of Clintashians is upon us

Among the wonderful expressions added to the American lexicon by Twain was this one:

“It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.”

Chelsea Clinton would have been well served spending more time reading and considering Twain’s words.

Feeling the Bern, the Hillary Clinton campaign has set loose a new er, attack dog and she’s meeting with nearly universal surprise and disdain. The words “shameless” and “lie” are in the mix. It is quite clear that Chelsea has inherited some undesirable characteristics from her parents.

In Morning Jolt, Jim Geraghty wrote:

The Clinton campaign keeps inventing innovative, groundbreaking new ways to be shameless. Now they’re using Chelsea Clinton as an attack dog, making one of those patented technically-true-but-epically-misleading-out-of-context accusations.

CHELSEA CLINTON: Senator Sanders wants to dismantle Obamacare, dismantle the CHIP program, dismantle Medicare, dismantle private insurance. Now the Republicans in Congress have voted against the Affordable Care Act 55 times, right? Not because they want to replace it with something because they want to get rid of it. So I worry that if we give Republicans Democratic permission to do that, we’ll go back to an era before we had the Affordable Care Act that will strip millions and millions and millions of people of their health insurance.

It is way out of context, and Geraghty added:

Perhaps we shouldn’t be stunned that Chelsea Clinton, former NBC News reporter under the tutelage of Brian Williams, is running around telling stories that are exaggerated to the point of falsehood. Alternately, maybe Chelsea inherited the shameless lying gene from both sides.

Mark Finkelstein at Newsbusters:

Proving that there is nothing and no one she won’t sacrifice on the altar of her political ambition, Hillary Clinton today sent her daughter Chelsea out to smear Bernie Sanders by claiming his health care plan would “strip millions and millions and millions of people of their health insurance.”  On today’s With All Due Respect, Mark Halperin repeatedly said he was “stunned” by the attack. John Heilemann put in blunter terms, flatly calling the attack a “lie.”

Mark Halperin found himself, well, “stunned”:

HEILEMANN: So Mark, Hillary Clinton, Chelsea Clinton beating up on Bernie Sanders. We haven’t yet see Bill Clinton do that, but just wait. My question for you is, is she getting in your view smartly tough with Sanders, finally? Or is she panicking? D

MARK HALPERIN: I’ve covered the Clintons since 1991. It takes a lot to surprise me. I am stunned watching Chelsea Clinton go on the attack. Stunned. Never seen anything like it. And the attack, which her mother is making as well, they’re trying to attack Bernie Sanders from the left on health care, when he supports single-payer. I mean, I’m stunned, I’m stunned by the whole thing. I will say, you and I spent a couple days in Iowa. We saw Bernie Sanders. We saw the event last night. There is no doubt Bernie Sanders has built something real. There’s no doubt that she has too, but the stakes for her now are immense. I think that she’s building up Iowa and New Hampshire. I guess she feels they feel they have no choice. So I think attacking him and going after him is smart, but the way they’re doing it, I don’t think is smart.

Finkelstein asks a great question:

Question: did Hillary have to push Chelsea to compromise her integrity in this way, or was Chelsea eager to make her political bones?

Heilemann also is stunned:

JOHN HEILEMANN: And in all our years covering elections and here on planet Earth, we have never seen the next thing we are about to show you on television. Chelsea Clinton playing the role of political attacker .

Go over and read the whole thing.

This strikes me as a really bad idea. Then again, the turd acorn doesn’t fall far from the hind end tree. Chelsea is a spoiled twit but she comes by it honestly:

2. Chelsea was trained at age 6 to be numb to “lies” about her parents

When Chelsea was just six years old, Hillary and Bill forced her to listen to them act out mock attacks on Bill over and over as she sobbed. This drill did not end until she learned to listen to them without sobbing.

The exercise was in preparation for people that “might even tell lies about her father in order to win” during his 1986 campaign to be governor of Arkansas.

It is unclear whether these training sessions properly prepared Chelsea for the accusations of philandering and sexual assault that would be hurled at Bill during his presidency, especially when she was forced by Hillary to listen to Bill admit to her that many of the attacks were not lies.

“One of Hillary’s punishments for Bill after he confessed his role in the Monica Lewinsky scandal was to have him confess his sins directly to the daughter who idolized him and had defended him,” writes Halper.

And she, like her parents, doesn’t care about money.

Chelsea Clinton, $10M Apartment, $3M Wedding, $600K Job: I Just Don’t Care About Money

Hillary Clinton insists she isn’t “well-off” and now daughter Chelsea says she couldn’t care less about money.

“I was curious if I could care about (money) on some fundamental level, and I couldn’t,” she told UK’s The Telegraph, explaining why she gave up lucrative gigs to join her family’s philanthropic foundation.

Comparing her experience to the average millennial, the 34-year-old former first daughter defended jumping around to different careers — from consulting to a hedge fund to academia to journalism — before finding her true calling working with her parents.

“It is frustrating, because who wants to grow up and follow their parents? I’ve tried really hard to care about things that were very different from my parents … it’s a funny thing to realize I feel called to this work, both as a daughter and also as someone who believes I have contributions to make,” she continued about her reluctant status as a boomerang kid.

The Clinton name likely opened doors for the political heiress, including an eye-popping $600,000 annual salary for an irregular stint as an NBC special correspondent, but Chelsea insists her work speaks for itself.

“I will just always work harder (than anybody else) and hopefully perform better,” she said.

“And hopefully, over time, I preempt and erase whatever expectations people have of me not having a good work ethic, or not being smart, or not being motivated.”

Clinton wed husband Marc Mezvinsky, a former Goldman Sachs banker who started his own hedge fund, in a lavish 2010 ceremony estimated to have cost $3 million.

There’s the modest 5,000 square foot, $10 million condo in the city. Doesn’t everyone have one?

She worked at a hedge fund and married a hedge fund trader with his own hedge fund. You know, one of those hedge fund traders Hillary promised she’d take on for us. You might want to invest elsewhere.

This poor thing who doesn’t care about money is now worth $15 million. Nearly flat broke in Clinton dollars.

Our James Raider noted Chelsea’s aggravating sense of self-entitlement here.

Chelsea is sodden with the Clinton belief in entitlement, the dishonesty and lack of perspective. Throwing her out there on the trail to attack her mother’s political opponents is not wise and will cost her dearly.

But never so much as having Bill and Hillary for parents has already cost her.

Please America…no more Clintons, Bushes, or Obamas. Ever again. Please

recently, a DNA swab done on Chelsea Clinton, allegedly, billy is not the father. needs blood DNA

Apparently wealth and privilege are only acceptable when those who enjoy them are republican.

@Greg: You are indeed a maroon. Now go fondle your HilLIARy doll.

Her father-in-law is a well-known Democrat felon.

Laughs at Chelsea’s Expense:

Is it me, have I become a stickler for logic, congruity, and the formulation of ideas or have I lost all sense of proportion, applying cruel perspicuity until it is virtually impossible to pretend mediocrity and senseless babble are defining measures of brilliance.

The media seems willing to give Chelsea Clinton more than the benefit of doubt, but I have no reason to celebrate vapidity. If you can make sense of the apparent nonsense, please step forward and state your case, enlighten us, for many of us are in awe or perhaps abject disbelief that such disjointed thinking can be cited as a qualification for the presidency.

This is a woman who admits she has had multiple opportunities to make the same statements repeatedly (her logic, not mine), and still she relies on the fart, stumble, fall technique of public discourse, while our media expects us to remain silent as a measure of respect for the assumed brilliance of the youngest Clinton royal.

You be the judge, perhaps I expect too much. Lucidity is at a premium these days, and finding logic in Chelsea’s direct quotes may be far beyond the humble abilities of the average American.

“I wish that there was more interest in the work we’re doing here on the part of the mainstream press — the work that we’re grateful to do and the work that I personally am now grateful to be part of. “

I know many of you struggled through freshman English at various colleges, but if your last name was Clinton and you attended Stanford, your worries would have been minimal.

Eric Partridge should be reassured that his book, “Usage and Abusage: A Guide To Good English” will be needed for many more decades.

Eric Partridge:

Which is preferred – nom de plume, pseudonym, or pen name? What are neologisms, disguised conjunctions, and fused participles? Language enters into almost every part of human life and yet it is all too often misused: directness and clarity disappear in a whirl of clichés, euphemisms, and wooliness of expression.
Chelsea Clinton:

“I personally am obsessed with diarrhea”

Thankfully, Joe Canason, a writer at Huffington, had the kindness to explain this sentence and prevented the world from laughing at Chelsea’s blatant vapidity; especially, since she seems incapable of expressing herself, with any semblance of clarity, but this is only a small part of the responsibilities of a compliant press.

“meaning the symptoms of waterborne disease that leads to diarrhea, dehydration, and death for millions of children annually across Africa. Aside from her growing experience in the field, she holds a master’s in public health from Columbia University.”

Joe has problems with writing and expression, but we have learned to accept mediocrity from state directed media.

Obviously, the master’s degree in public health from Columbia carries the same amount of authority as the undergraduate degree from Stanford, especially if you are a Clinton, and the the inability to link ideas and phrases becomes a qualification for the nation’s highest office.

The wind chime continues:

“I wish that someone wanted to talk about diarrhea, and why I think we really have the chance to eradicate diarrhea, even before every country across the African continent or across the world has strong public health systems of sanitation and clean water…Yes, I wish the mainstream media were interested in things like our growing work in diarrhea, or the work that we’re doing in agriculture or the work we’re doing on HIV/AIDS, and how important that is.”

This is painful; however, when the drivel becomes nearly incomprehensible, the implied qualifications for the office of the presidency are the most pronounced.

Shall we continue:

“I’m … grateful to live in a city and a state and a country where I really believe in my elected officials, and their ethos and their competencies, someday, if either of those weren’t true and I thought I could make more of a difference in the public sector, or if I didn’t like how my city or state or country were being run, I’d have to ask and answer that question.

I really felt like I could make a difference and then I should make a difference. And I had very much led a deliberately private life for a long time, and now I’m attempting to lead a purposely public life.”

Organization of thoughts and speech has now become unimportant or trivial to the Liberal, image is everything, and the Clintons have image. Therefore, this muddled and confused mass of incoherent ideas is being palmed off on the public as relevant and an example of strategic thinking; however, even with the heroic efforts of a sympathetic press, it is extremely hard to hide blatant stupidity.

Truman Capote once said of Jack Kerouac:

That’s Not writing, it’s typing

Skook says of Chelsea,

That’s not a formulation of ideas, it’s gibberish
Pretending to see intellect in ramblings of mediocrity is dangerous for the country. The Democrat voting block may be trained to respond with oohs and ahhs when media blows the dog whistles to signal admiration and adulation, but the mediocrity and vapidity of Chelsea Clinton is a bridge too far.

Ding A Ling Goes Chelsea The Wind Chime

@Greg: No. Building your platform on “beating the rich people” when all you want in life is to become a rich person is deplorable.

Hillary and Obama have pledged, over and over again, to destroy wealth and privilege…yet somehow while they amass their own.

How stupid can someone be to support these clowns?

Sad.

After Chelsea blew her shot at being a Hillary attack dog the Hillary campaign has thrown her under the bus!
Today the campaign is claiming Chelsea was acting on her own, going rogue, as it were, when she attacked Bernie!
(I wonder if an ashtray was throw at her.)

@Nathan Bluw: Greegie is way beyond stupid!!

@Greg:

Apparently wealth and privilege are only acceptable when those who enjoy them are republican.

Apparently, those who are fabulously wealthy and have become so through “contributions” yet they criticize, demonize and vilify those who have worked hard and taken personal risks to become wealthy are corrupt hypocrites. Just as apparently, you are blind to this simple fact.

Someone like Chelsea does not “care about money” because someone like Chelsea has never had to work for it, has always had baskets full of the stuff dumped in her lap and has no idea what it takes to MAKE a living.

Hillary’s “woman” shields are failing; she can no longer effectively be protected behind it, her one line of defense. So, she is now trying to hide behind the “children are off limits” shield, expecting to send Chelsea out to vomit stupid liberal bile but receive no return fire… because she is a “child”… just as Bubba is supposed to be untouchable because he is merely her husband.

No doubt, it is fated that Chelsea would go into politics. If it weren’t for all Hillary and Bill’s corruption, the Clinton name would carry some weight (though Gruberesque liberals will continue to salivate at the mere utterance of the Holy Name forever and ever). If she actually possessed some capabilities of her own, her success would be made more difficult by all the corruption and Hillary’s inevitable indictment. But putting her name on the Clinton ATM otherwise known as the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Foundation put the final nail in her political career.

@Skookum: Perhaps when the profitability of the global warming scam has played out, World Diarrhea can be the next existential threat to civilization.

@Bill: Boogey men should be chosen carefully; Liberals are basing future control and taxation on the public’s gullibility. Unfortunately, the visualization of Chelsea immersed in an ocean of diarrhea is not likely to contribute to the Liberals’ dream of control and taxation.

There is still time to rally around another token line of BS. Send out Chelsea to pick up the used condoms from the NYC gutters on Sunday mornings, left by unthinking NYC Liberals, as they celebrate the NYC lifestyle. The Clintons can start another fund to rid NYC of used condoms. This is one the public will believe; when they see Chelsea picking up used condoms. This can only improve the Clinton image and money scamming efforts.

@Skookum:
She could kill two birds with one stone and also pick up (and dispose of) dirty needles in her home town (NYCity.)
I know when I was in LB CA the used condoms and dirty needles almost were at a one-to-one ratio in my front garden areas.
Probably 20 each per week.
It was why I used such heavy suede work gloves.
