Bill Maher unwittingly proves liberals are hypocritical morons

The Daily Beast conducted an interview with Kurt Russell not long ago and in it he explained that he was a “hard core libertarian.” That easily understandable from Russell, but what caught my eye was his remark about Bill Maher:

When asked about his libertarian views, Russell said, “I wasn’t a Republican, I was worse: I was a hardcore libertarian. I’m not a Bill Maher libertarian. That’s faux-libertarianism. He doesn’t know what it is. I like him, and he’s a nice guy, but seriously, that’s not libertarianism.”

Bill Maher is a complete asshat, but even asshats do something right now and then. Maher said something that hasn’t gotten enough attention and it certainly hasn’t received the indignation, outrage and ire from the left that it should have received.

On his show Maher said this:

“If you are in this religion, you probably do have values that are at odds. This is what liberals don’t want to recognize,” Maher said. “This idea that somehow we do share values that all religions are alike is bullshit.”

His politically correct guest disagreed with Maher, of course:

Chrystia Freeland strongly disagreed with Maher’s idea, saying that the Paris attacks should be a rallying call for diversity as a way of showing superiority to ISIS. This led to a series of exchanges as the table discussed whether the different value set automatically demonizes Islam in the eyes of America, and the merits of pointing out the extreme aspects of Sharia law.

When Freeland emphasized that you don’t change extreme Muslim perspectives by broadly painting their ideas as bad, Maher retorted that he was standing up for moderate Muslims, and that “killing women for being raped, I would say is bad.”

Here is the video of the segment:

In what is most definitely a rarity, Maher is right about this. Where’s the outrage from the left? Where is all the politically correct horse crap that would be flung at any conservative who said what Maher said? Where is the call for condemnation?

I haven’t heard any liberals taking a stand against Maher. And that proves that they’re pretty much all full of crap- especially any potential democrat candidates for President who appear on his show.

Well, no one has told them (liberals) to BE outraged. As we all know, they do not engage their minds until those who provide them with the stupidity they are supposed to think and say come forth with their opinions.

For instance, does anyone actually believe that millions would simultaneously become “outraged” over Romney keeping the names of potential women for employment in a binder? No, stupidity like that doesn’t simply occur… it must be cultivated. With fertilizer.

Liberals don’t care about principles or what is right or wrong… only what can be used, politically. This is why they blissfully ignore hundreds being gunned down in gun-free Chicago (looks like Rahm has yet another crisis to not waste on his hands; two more blacks killed by a cop last night) while insisting that law abiding citizens have their rights taken away. If they actually cared about anything, we would certainly be aware of it.

I can’t wait until Cruz and/Rubio are on the Republican ticket and these morons will have a libturd fit about their citizenship and eligibility status!!

Maher has said, “To count yourself as a liberal, you have to stand up for liberal principles. Free speech, separation of church and state, freedom to practice any religion or no religion without the threat of violence. Respect for minorities including homosexuals, equality for women.
It amazes me how here in America we go nuts over the tiniest violations of these values while gross atrocities are ignored across the world.
This is what liberals don’t want to recognize. You may be from a country, as there are many, many Muslim countries that either have Sharia law or want Sharia law. Those values are not our value.”

The context of the above quote was how the New York Magazine was belittling female genital mutilation IN the USA.
In 2013, there were up to 507,000 U.S. women and girls who had undergone FGM.
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/12/27/new-left-new-york-magazine-makes-light-female-genital-mutilation/

Sharia demands female genital mutilation in one form or another, yet:
Pew writes, “Nearly all Muslims in Afghanistan (99%) and most in Iraq (91%) and Pakistan (84%) support sharia law as official law.”
Yet in the last five years, according to Department Homeland Security data, the U.S. issued 83,000 green cards to Iraq, 83,000 green cards to Pakistan, and 11,000 to Afghanistan.

The irony of the New Left is that, given Sharia law’s attitudes towards women and homosexuals, large-scale Muslim migration ought to be something liberals would be concerned about. Yet liberals seem willing to embrace these anti-liberal attitudes with open arms.

@Nanny G: It is not an ignorant generalization to state that most liberals simply do not think for themselves; they support what they are told to support. See the Dr. John article on how Trump’s temporary ban on Muslim immigration is treated when the T-word is removed from the question of whether or not such a pause is wise.

There is yet another article where Hillary supports women’s rights when they accuse sexual abuse, yet she viciously attacks those who accuse Bill of the same… yet she has millions of followers. Even Mahr states that one of the liberal tenets is to respect women, yet how does he show respect for women who are NOT liberal?

So, even though fundamentalist Muslims represent what liberals say is bad in society (and without hesitation accuse Republicans of being like), because the liberal mantra says to allow any and all immigrants… legal, illegal, dangerous or benign… to enter the country, they blindly and ignorantly support the policy which, as the facts reveal, goes directly against their human nature. On top of that, statistics show that liberals are not the most generous and giving of people, as a whole, so the very idea of compassion for those in dire need is foreign to them.

@Bill:
You’re so right, Bill.
I recall the 1960’s when people said of liberals then that each day they got their ”letter from Hanoi” telling them what to be outraged about that day.

Even to this day Liberals and Lefties wait for their media and political leaders to blow those dog whistles so as to know what to be outraged about.
Oberlin College students got their panties in a bunch over dorm cafeteria foods like ”General Tso’s Chicken” with non-fried chicken pieces as well as sushi not done ”traditionally,” as well as modern-cafeteria-takes on Mexican foods.
As it turns out, most sushi is American in nature, as the Japanese adjusted to their American GIs and tourists decades ago.
General Tso chicken was invented in San Fran in the last 50 years. And TACOS are American, not Mexican! In fact, most ”Mexican” foods you see are adjusted for US tastes.
Stupid students!

“When Freeland emphasized that you don’t change extreme Muslim perspectives by broadly painting their ideas as bad…”

Problem is that what ISIS is doing is not extreme at all in a Mohammedan context. Moreover, I maintain that those who are not doing what ISIS is doing are not ‘good’ Muslims.

This tripe about ‘extremist’ Islam that we hear over and over again by those who should know better, is just a canard by the anti-American left, libertarians, and various useful idiots who call themselves conservatives, and Republicans, to keep the proles from knowing their enemy.

Islam is at war with us. If we cannot even acknowledge this, hell on earth awaits us all.

Just when you think the ”Left” can’t be any more hypocritical, it gets worse.

Zhou Enlai, responsible for an estimated 40 to 70 million deaths……
Zhou Enlai, Communist China’s first premier, was GAY!

Sure, he ”married,” but, as the article points out:

They had no children of their own.

There were “no romantic feelings” and it was a “marriage in name only … He was never in love with his wife,” Tsoi wrote.

On the other hand, of

Li Fujing, a schoolmate two years his junior, Zhou wrote in his diary that he could not live one day without Li and being with Li can “turn sorrow into joy”.

Zhou and Li shared a dormitory from 1917 and “even their shadows do not part.”
