Well, under President Obama’s lead-from-behindership, we know in actuality and not in theory that Russia and China do not fear the U.S.

I do think that the Republican Debate Demands is silly. Any question asked by a journalist, heckler, etc. is an opportunity, even if the question is devoid of substance. To make a list of demands and to go on about liberal bias in the media can be taken to the point of whininess. If anything, the CNBC moderators at the last GOP debate made the candidates come out looking like a million bucks- supporting each other and hitting back at the moderators. So I disagree with President Obama: These candidates handled the journalists just fine. Contrast/compare this with Obama’s temperament and temerity in the face of unwelcomed questioning. He gets testy. When faced by hecklers or a question from an audience member, he sometimes hems and haws, stammers and stutters. Pot calling kettle…

ALLAHPUNDIT:

Obama himself has whined plenty of times about unfriendly media, most notably Fox News. He joined Hillary and the rest of the Democratic primary field in 2007 by boycotting a debate hosted by Fox because the left demanded it. Two years later, as president, the administration tried to muscle Fox out of a series of interviews with “pay czar” Ken Feinberg even though all members of the White House press pool were otherwise invited to participate. Only when the other networks threatened to boycott the interviews too did Team O relent. Anyone who watched that CNBC trainwreck and has watched debates hosted by Fox knows that Bret Baier and Chris Wallace would have been more respectful of Democratic candidates than John Harwood and Becky Quick were of the Republicans. Obama’s house is awfully glassy for him to be throwing this particular stone. In fact, I’m not sure what he means when he says the GOP couldn’t handle CNBC. They couldn’t? Nearly everyone on stage challenged the moderators over the course of the night. If they had meekly played along and then complained about the debate afterward, that would have been grounds for claiming that Republicans had buckled before a hostile adversary. But they didn’t.

How did the thin-skinned President Obama handle Steve Kroft a month ago on 60 Minutes:

Video blurb:

Obama had another interview with 60 Minutes, and to Steve Kroft’s credit, he actually made Obama face up to the failures of his foreign policy in the Middle East. Of course, Obama’s ridiculous myopic arrogance won’t let him see what’s plainly obvious, and instead he gets visibly annoyed that Kroft would dare question his brilliance.

Kroft’s question put it as gently as possible, but even then Obama couldn’t accept it. Outside of Obama’s insular universe, the rest of the world knows that Putin is embarrassing and humiliating Obama and by extension, the United States.

Meanwhile Obama sticks to his story that Putin invading another country is a sign of “weakness.” Now that is what you call an incredible delusion.

How did President Obama handle CBS’ Major Garrett:

Transcript:

GARRETT: Thank you, Mr. President. As you well know, there are four Americans in Iran — three held on trumped-up charges and according to your administration and one whereabouts unknown. Can you tell the country, sir, why you are content with all the fanfare around this deal to leave the conscious of this nation, the strength of this nation unaccounted for in relation to these four Americans? And last week the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said under no circumstances should there be any relief for Iran in terms of ballistic missiles or conventional weapons. It is perceived that that was a last-minute capitulation in these negotiations. Many in the Pentagon feel you’ve left the Joint Chiefs of Staff hung out to dry. Would you comment?

OBAMA: I’ve to give you credit for how you craft those questions. The notion that I’m content as I celebrate with American citizens languishing in Iranian jails — Major, that’s nonsense, and you should know better. I’ve met with the families of some of those folks. Nobody is content, and our diplomats and our teams are working diligently to try to get them out. Now, if the question is why we did not tie the negotiations to their release, think about the logic that that creates.

Suddenly Iran realizes, you know what? Maybe we can get additional concessions out of the Americans by holding these individuals. Makes it much more difficult for us to walk away if Iran somehow thinks that a nuclear deal is dependent in some fashion on the nuclear deal, and, by the way, if we had walked away from the nuclear deal, we’d still be pushing them just as hard to get these folks out. That’s why those issues are not connected, but we are working every single day to try to get them out and won’t stop until they are out and rejoined with their families.

If he can’t handle these reporters:

He clearly isn’t fit to handle foreign leaders like Putin.

Obama couldn’t handle Fox News, and went on to prove he couldn’t handle the Russians or the Chinese. Or even ISIS. America should have gotten a clue from that back then and Obama should take a lesson from the GOP candidates now.

Via the Hill:

re, Bush joins Ohio Gov. John Kasich, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina in refusing to endorse the protest.

O is a total joke and sadly he is our joke. The change in president cannot come fast enough.

So I disagree with President Obama: These candidates handled the journalists just fine.

that may be true, but the people he is talking to have not bothered to watch that debate and feel that getting the cliff notes for dummies version is the way to go, that way, they can be on the right side of things (as they think) and not have to waste time on anything actual. its brilliant, like having someone else turn in a term paper you copied off of the guy next to you – its how every real genius smart person operates… not

but being smart enough to game things, and so puffed up you succeeded, leaves you in a very vulnerable position, in that “what if what your copying and what your being led to believe, is wrong – or takes advantage of the believer?”

without faith in god, they have put faith in the people that save them time by telling them what to think

what could go wrong?

@Wordsmith:

Where are they in the polls?
Way down low.*
What expectation do they have if they kiss up to the msm debate moderators?
Soft ball questions to allow them to bolster their positions in those polls.

Look at how the Great and Powerful Obama handled the Mexican government in getting the soldiers they had illegally imprisoned back. What a toughie.

I guess, like with Iran, he was afraid they would make more demands… like cutting back on the number of illegal immigrants they will allow us to support. Or sending their drugs and violent drug traffickers somewhere else.

@Artfldgr:
So Dodger you put your faith in God?
And you got Obama? What’s up with that ?

According to Obama, the Republican candidates are weak because they “couldn’t handle” tough questions, but instead they refused to answer extremely biased and sometimes stupid questions. (Hint: Dealing with China and Russia is not like “fantasy football”)

At least the Republicans showed up. The Democrats cower in fear and pee themselves over the thought of being grilled by Fox reporters and moderators.

Humor needs an element of truth in order to work. Since Obama and his audience are devoid of both, they couldn’t tell the difference.

This is not a debate forum this is a hostile news conference. Can’t they have a single subject and convince the audience that they have the best idea. The moderator to halt off subject and stumping activities and Each having apx equal time. Oh not even close to allowing the viewers to hear what the candidate really stands for they must perpetuate the” Republicans have no ideas” for thier 3 or 4 regular watchers, CNBC must have been shocked, but but MSNBC did it why cant WEEeee???

@john: God sometimes tests us with plagues, famines and Obama.

Whatever happened to the debates moderated by the League of Women’s Voters?
Those were usually some pretty substantive debates.

@Nanny G: #11
I couldn’t help but flash back to one of the most fearful interrogations of my life (and I’ve been through military training, including waterboarding):
When my girlfriend’s mother was determined to find out just where she and I had gone, and what we had done there. In detail.
Yeah, let the modern-day equivalent of the LOWV moderate the debates on BOTH sides.
We’ll find out who the toughest candidates are in the first ten minutes!

I think that the CNBC debate may have finally smacked many moderates right “upside-the-head” into recognizing the hard truth of leftist MSM bias. Conservatives have been complaining about it for decades while the media (and their Democrat allies) have always pooh-poohed the thought. You can no longer ignore the elephant in the room when it takes a huge noxious dump right in the center.

@Nanny G:

It would be a good thing for the debates to be taken back from the Washington establishment controlled Debate Commission and handed back to the league of Women Voters.

@old guy:

O is a total joke and sadly he is our joke

Here’s a brief but rather blunt truth that FA’s resident trolls should ponder well:

“Under President Obama, Democrats have lost 900+ state legislature seats, 12 governors, 69 House seats, 13 Senate seats. That’s some legacy.”

.

@Ditto: Thats the kind of HOPE AND CHANGE I like
