Cheryl Mills rips open the Clinton email scandal

mills and clinton

As many of us suspected, the Clinton Foundation “business” was intertwined with Hillary Clinton’s official duties at State. Emails made public through FOIA have shown that Hillary Clinton aide Cheryl Mills passed on classified information to the Clinton Foundation:

Hillary Clinton’s top State Department aide sent internal agency correspondence to Clinton Foundation officials, raising new questions about how her inner circle handled sensitive information.

The internal emails, which were obtained by Citizens United through the Freedom of Information Act, have since been classified. They were passed to the Clinton Foundation by Cheryl Mills, Clinton’s former chief of staff.

In one instance, Mills forwarded to Amitabh Desai, the Clinton Foundation’s director of foreign policy, an email from the assistant secretary of state for African affairs that is now classified.

So why would Mills send this classified information to Clinton Foundation of foreign policy?

Money, of course.

Mills told Desai she was sharing the State Department email with him because former President Bill Clinton was “in contact” with Paul Kagame, president of Rwanda.

“[Bill Clinton] has been talking about giving Kagame a plenary role at CGI,” Desai said in response, referring to the Clinton Global Initiative.

And why would Bill offer Kagame a plenary role at the CGI? Well, let’s see:

Former President Bill Clinton attempted repeatedly to get approval from Hillary Clinton’s State Department for lucrative speaking engagements in “two of the most repressive countries in the world — North Korea and the Democratic Republic of the Congo,” according to ABC News.

Clinton ultimately was rebuffed but he didn’t lack for trying to line his pockets with dictator cash.

After taking a stand against African corruption as a Senator, Hillary looked the other way as the money poured into CGI.

Freeport is also a major Clinton Foundation donor, giving between $250,000 and $500,000, according to donor records.

The Congolese government saw its stake in the mine climb by just 2.5 percent in 2010 after talks that were thought to have been conducted by the State Department “in support of Freeport,” the Financial Times reported that year.

Here’s the bottom line:

Additional emails obtained by Citizens United indicate Desai had a direct line to Mills when it came to approving paid speaking engagements for the former president.

Those speaking fees for the former President are also income to the former Secretary of State as they file jointly in New York. There is no “his and hers.” It’s their income. Thus, while Mills was Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State she was also overseeing Clinton Cash.

We have frequently wondered here how top secret information found its way onto a private Clinton server. Finally, the FBI also wants to know.

The FBI has seized four State Department computer servers as part of its probe into how classified information was compromised on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email system, according to people familiar with the investigation.

The four servers, which were located at the State Department’s headquarters building, were seized by the FBI several weeks ago. They are being checked by technical forensic analysts charged with determining how Top Secret material was sent to Clinton’s private email by State Department aides during her tenure as secretary from 2009 to 2013, said two people familiar with the probe. The people spoke on condition of anonymity because it is an ongoing investigation.

And then the funniest sentence in the article:

State Department spokesman John Kirby referred questions about the computer servers to the FBI. An FBI spokeswoman, Carol Cratty, declined to comment.

Kirby is a pathetic disappointment as a military man. He’s made himself a tool and a fool in this idiotic administration.

Clinton’s server reportedly came under attack from China, South Korea and Germany. They seemed to know more about her curious arrangement than even the State Department.

We’ve said it before- there isn’t any question what went on and what’s being hidden. Hillary Clinton mixed CGI business with State Department policy, using the latter to benefit the former. Now it’s a matter of time before the other shoe drops.

At least, as long as Kevin McCarthy keeps his stupid mouth shut.

Dr J still trying to find a scandal
Too bad that
BENGAZZI!!! Turned into a bad joke
At least you did admit that when that information was emailed it was NOT. Classified
Most Americans no longer pay attention to fake scandals dreamed up bybthecrabid tight

aren’t you ever ashamed of yourself??

@John:

Too bad that
BENGAZZI!!! Turned into a bad joke

And how sad that you are such a partisan hack that you view the deaths of four Americans, and an attack on American soil (which the Benghazi compound was) as a “bad joke.”

I guess if you don’t read it in the New York Slimes, it doesn’t exist. Never mind that diseases that have been basically under control, and rare, like whooping cough and a strain of hard to treat TB is now reaching critical levels in border states, especially Texas.

Illegal children, given the catchy name of “unaccompanied alien children” by our government, are not vaccinated when they are put into our public school systems. So a child that is unable to tolerate vaccines is now placed at even higher risk due to the inaction of controlling our border by our incompetent president.

Dr J still trying to find a scandal

Well, wadday know… there it is.

The information wasn’t MARKED classified, though the person sending it SAID it was classified. If Hillary and her aids can’t tell classified information from yoga appointments, they don’t need to be collecting a government paycheck. You might read the article before you repeat your off-the-shelf talking points. Most likely, if they sent classified documents to the unknown, unsecured server, the emails would be flagged and investigations begun, which would have been most unwelcome… implicating others, now, in this drama. While Hillary will get away without any serious consequences (other than, “No nomination for YOU… NEXT?), many of her lemmings will pay the price.

Next, john, you can begin trying to convince us that night is actually day.

Cheryl Mills, when she went before the Benghazi select committee, her testimony was transcribed but held in private (as was ALL witness testimony.)
Dems didn’t like that an apologist for Hillary could not be heard by all of America.
So, they, unilaterally, started releasing her testimony.
Just hers.
Not anyone else’s.

Here’s a tidbit:

In one portion highlighted by the Democrats, Mills described Clinton’s response to news of the Benghazi attack.

“I think she was devastated. Ambassador Stevens was someone she had a lot of confidence and respect for,” Mills reportedly told the Committee. “And the notion that he had been murdered, I think, was something that all of us thought was unbearable, but I think she particularly felt the pain of that.”

Odd.
Hillary ”learned of the attack” well before the Ambassador was murdered.
He, and some of the others were still alive but without aid from any quarter, when she first heard of the attack.
He was still alive when he reached a hospital!
Where was Hillary all that time?
Asleep?

@DrJohn: They would vote for Rolo Tomassi.

@Nanny G:

He was still alive when he reached a hospital!
Where was Hillary all that time?
Asleep?

Well, wherever she was, she was devastated. So devastated, in fact, that she has been trying to lie her way out of responsibility ever since.

Note that for all of John’s bleating, he does nothing to address the impropriety, illegality or sheer stupidity of Hillary maintaining her own email server for government business.

When I saw this story I posted that you could show precisely how Clinton did this to benefit herself and her loathsome husband, and her fanatical followers will STILL insist there’s nothing there (they would be calling for charges for treason against a Republican doing far less). Nice to see the resident whistler-past-the-cemetery in true partisan hack form.

The average American doesn’t know every detail of this, and they don’t care. For the first time I’m thinking Clinton won’t be our next president. One can support her without being a loon, and any of her supporters whose brains work in anything but Democratic Loyalist mode have to know she’s guilty as hell, and it’s going to result in either charges being brought or (more likely) no charges being brought but the American people knowing she’s so corrupt she simply can’t be allowed into the White House again.

If she had even a little respect for this country (as opposed to how she and her partisans can REMAKE it), she would withdraw from the race. Unlike Richard Nixon, but like her husband, she puts herself first, always.

I’ve never seen Hillary Clinton so outraged, so ‘disgusted’ as she was over that Youtube video.

Just as Obama only seems to be truly angry when bitching about Republicans (while he oozes compassion for our nation’s enemies), that says something.

From the git-go, the left has been lying about anything and everything. Never mind Mills forwarding classified information to benefit her boss’s husband. Is anyone really surprised about that?

How about getting back to the real scandal; that under Hillary Clinton, and her failure to really do her job, four Americans were slaughtered in Benghazi.

It was a YouTube video. No, not really. When that didn’t fly, it was a lack of money in the SOS budget for security for ambassadors. No, not really. Refer back to the testimony of Charlene Lamb. Yada, yada, yada.

Four Americans are rotted in their graves and still the Hillary sycophants defend her.

@retire05:

There are two main standard operating procedures of today’s ‘progressive’ biased, ‘smoke & mirrors’ MSM that is always at work. (1) If you keep reporting something, people will think it is true. and (2) If you continue to avoid reporting on something that looks to be damaging to your agenda, maybe the public will never notice or will forget about it.

@DrJohn:

It wasn’t his kid so it doesn’t matter. It’s the same with the crimes. It wasn’t his daughter raped so he doesn’t give a crap.

That is how the elite think. If it wont affect them or theirs, it’s fine and dandy. Screw the common folk.

@JSW:

When I saw this story I posted that you could show precisely how Clinton did this to benefit herself and her loathsome husband…

It’s precisely the problem with today’s ‘progressive’ crony capitalist politicians in both parties. Let us not be moved by the useful idiots like John. The public has become cognizant about the near complete corruption of such elitist politicians, which is why the outsider candidates are doing so well.

“Citizens United Releases 2nd Cheryl Mills Email That Has Been Retroactively Classified.”

Retroactively, as in The document in question wasn’t classified until 09/14/2015—or over three years after it was sent.

Until Citizens United posed a threat of wholesale public release of internal State Department communications that were never intended to be placed on public display, there was apparently no need for classified status.

The Washington Examiner article title is almost comical: Top Clinton aide passed now-classified intel to Clinton Foundation.Now-classified” is pretty much an oblique acknowledgement that you’re about to read a non-story.

@Greg: There is always a need for classification. That is the law. Are you really so ignorant or are you so seeped into leftist ideology that you can not help yourself. Classified information is classified by the nature of the information. Every person who has the potential to handle classified information has been briefed on security issues and has the responsibility to protect said information whether it is marked or not. This is and has been the issue Greg. Say good bye to Alice and the Queen of Hearts and come back into the real world.

@Greg:

Retroactively, as in The document in question wasn’t classified until 09/14/2015—or over three years after it was sent.

Do you never stop to wonder WHY so many of these emails are marked classified the moment they surface? Well, I’ll just GIVE you the answer…. for free.

No one knew these emails with classified information existed until they were dug up (not handed over, by law, but forcibly extracted from Hillary’s bony claws). Kind of difficult to classify something until you see it, wouldn’t you say? Kind of difficult to classify something until it goes through the official State Department channels, isn’t that so?

Until Citizens United posed a threat of wholesale public release of internal State Department communications that were never intended to be placed on public display, there was apparently no need for classified status.

If these emails have resided on an unsecured server in Hillary’s secret closet, wouldn’t it be logical to assume there IS no classified data on them? After all, Hillary SWORE there wasn’t. Logical, that is, unless one is familiar with Hillary’s corruption and penchant for lying.

@Randy:

@Greg: There is always a need for classification. That is the law. Are you really so ignorant or are you so seeped into leftist ideology that you can not help yourself.

Simple answer? Yes, he is.

Of course, Hillary was communicating with Sidney Blumenthal, even after the Administration refused to allow her to work with him. And while she, and her staff, had been fully briefed at to what should have classified status when generating emails, Blumenthal was not and that is how a CIA operative’s name was released. Wonder how Little Miss Pants Suit would have felt had that operative been assassinated.

And here is something that is getting little play:

https://benghazi.house.gov/sites/republicans.benghazi.house.gov/files/TG%20letter%20to%20EEC%2010.7.15.pdf

Cummings, a most despicable man, seems to be the source of many leaks of information from the Benghazi investigation that was to be held confident. No surprise. If you watch Cummings during the hearings, he can’t seem to help reducing himself to a purely partisan hack for Hillary and the Administration in spite of four American lives being lost.

Charlene Lamb admitted that she was the one that denied the additional Libyan security that was requested and that it had nothing to do with “budget cuts.” People need to ask why a lackey to the Under Secretary of State, Patrick Kennedy, had that kind of authority under then Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.

@Randy:

Are you really so ignorant or are you so seeped into leftist ideology that you can not help yourself. Classified information is classified by the nature of the information.

Actually, I am intelligent and informed enough to understand the following. It’s fairly simple, so average intelligence should more than suffice:

Information can be sensitive without meeting the the criteria for classified status. Sensitive but not classified is a category into which many government communications would fall. While not classified, public exposure would still not be in the best interests of the United States.

When Citizens United took legal action forcing public exposure of sensitive correspondence, the only way to prevent certain information from being spread all over the internet for the entire world to see was to retroactively classify it. This effectively prevents public release, even though the information did not originally meet the criteria requiring formal classification.

Thus the politically motivated idiots at Citizens United cannot get their hands on it and cause collateral damage to U.S. interests in their mindless efforts to damage Hillary Clinton.

Clear enough?

@Greg: Clear enough to confirm that you are ignorant. You have no idea how information is classified. You have no idea that every person who handles a certain type of information that has not been designated “classified” has a requirement by law to secure that information. If I had done what Clinton has done while I was in the military, I would now be occupying a 6′ X 9′ apartment in Eastern Kansas. There is no defense for what she has done. You also need to ask for a refund on the test you took that said you were intelligent.

@Randy:

Indeed. Certain forms of sensitive government information and data are automatically assigned a specific security level classification on the instant of their creation. There is no need for someone to review, assign and decide whether to affix a security classification level.

Greg is grasping at straws and pretending that it is not so, so that he can continue his perpetually deceptive false narrative. What makes it pathetic on his part, is that there are a good many regulars on FA who have held very high government classified security levels, whom have received and are well versed in the subject and ruling protocols. To be blunt, Greg is lying and purposely wrong about the genesis and protocols regarding the security level classification process.

@Greg:

When Citizens United took legal action forcing public exposure of sensitive correspondence, the only way to prevent certain information from being spread all over the internet for the entire world to see was to retroactively classify it.

“Retroactively”. So, it WAS already classified information and it had to be MARKED such, after the fact. Why? Well, because it never went through the classification process to begin with… because it never went through the examination process… because it went directly onto Hillary’s secret, unsecured server.

If Hillary never had, sent or received classified information on her server, why is this information now being redacted so that it is not exposed by Citizens United?
