Curious.
About three weeks ago Boko Haram abducted 300 girls in Nigeria and is threatening to sell them as slaves.
Michelle Obama has just discovered Boko Haram. She’s “outraged.” She sees her own daughters in this horrible event and she “demands action.” She also wants everyone to know how upset she is.
Anyone who has been paying attention to ongoing events in Africa knows about Boko Haram and its reign of violence since 2009. Until the other day, most liberals thought Boko Haram was the musical group that sang “A whiter shade of pale.” A list of Boko Haram attacks can be seen here. Boko Haram has been ratcheting up the scale of its attacks and the body count is climbing skyward. They recently killed 300 in one attack.
An attack by Boko Haram Islamists in a northeastern Nigerian town on the Cameroon border has killed hundreds of people, a local senator and witnesses said Wednesday.
News of the gruesome attack in Gamboru Ngala emerged hours after Islamists stormed the town on Monday, but casualty figures had remained unclear. Area senator Ahmed Zanna told AFP that “the death toll from the attack is around 300,” while residents said more than 100 bodies had been collected so far and that the toll was likely rise.
But one has to wonder why Michelle Obama didn’t see anyone’s sons when 60 boys were murdered by Boko Haram, many burned to death:
A Nigerian school attack staged Tuesday by the Islamist group Boko Haram resulted to the death of 59 students in Yobe state in Nigeria, Reuters reports.
Some of the victims were reported to have been burned alive by the attackers.
The Nigerian school attack happened in the Federal Government College of Buni Yadi. All of the school attack victims that have been confirmed so far were boys.
Police Commissioner Sanusi Rufai said that some of the bodies recovered at the scene of the school attack were burned to ashes.
Earlier reports said that the death toll of the Nigerian attack was 29, but as more bodies were confirmed by Specialist Hospital Damaturu, the body count was raised to 59.
Neither was Michelle Obama moved as Boko Haram terrorized Christians in Nigeria.

None of this got so much as a raised eyebrow from Michelle Obama but when a terrible event in which the Obama’s saw themselves took place, they noticed. As always, it’s all about them.
Maybe Michelle can ask Hillary Clinton why Clinton repeatedly defended Boko Haram.
Boko Haram, the Islamic terrorist organization in Nigeria, is in the news because it kidnapped more than 200 teenage girls and now threatens to sell them into slavery. (That’s what a real war on women looks like.) This is just the latest of many outrages committed by Boko Haram, which is guilty of many acts of mass murder. But it has now come out that for two years, Hillary Clinton blocked efforts to add Boko Haram to the State Department’s list of terrorist organizations.
This wasn’t just an episode of bureaucratic indifference. The Justice Department, the FBI, the CIA and many in Congress lobbied the State Department to list Boko Haram, but Clinton stood firm in defense of the Nigerian terrorists. Now, with the kidnapping outrage in the news, Hillary is tweeting away on behalf of the Nigerian girls. (THAT will do a lot of good!) But where was she in 2011 and 2012?
Risch and seven other GOP senators introduced legislation in early 2013 that would have forced Clinton to designate the group or explain why she thought it was a bad idea. The State Department lobbied against the legislation at the time, according to internal State Department emails obtained by The Daily Beast.
In the House, leading intelligence-minded lawmakers wrote letter after letter to Clinton urging her to designate Boko Haram as terrorists. The effort in the House was led by then-Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King and Patrick Meehan, chairman of the Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence.
Meehan and his Democratic counterpart Jackie Speier put out a lengthy report in 2011 laying out the evidentiary basis for naming Boko Haram a terrorist organization, including the group’s ties to al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and to Somalia’s al-Shabab terrorist organization.
Andrew McCarthy opines why:
Mrs. Clinton, like the Obama administration more broadly, believes that appeasing Islamists — avoiding actions that might give them offense, slamming Americans who provoke them — promotes peace and stability. (See Egypt for a good example of how well this approach is working.) Furthermore, if you are claiming to have “decimated” al-Qaeda, as the Obama administration was claiming to have done in the run-up to the 2012 election, the last thing you want to do is add jihadists to the terror list….
So that’s the plan: pretend terrorists and Islamists are unconnected, miniaturize terrorists, and appease Islamists with the Left’s policy preferences. It’s the plan that convinces you not to put Boko Haram on the terrorist list — that way, you can pretend that the jihadists are not really that important while telling the Islamists, “See? We’re going to treat them like a local criminal gang — the fact that they’re Muslims citing scripture in support of their murder, mayhem, kidnapping and misogyny is irrelevant. No ‘war on Islam’ on our watch.”
Perhaps Hillary could address Michelle’s concerns this way:
“What difference at this point does it make?”

As with the obama marionette, the michelle marionette can only respond to the strings that are pulled on her. If no strings are pulled, there is no reaction. Both marionettes have to wait until their puppeteers start pulling strings to respond to anything, and the puppeteers have waited a long time in many different situations.
Just out of curiosity, and this is just me talking here. Which conservative outlet was talking about Boko Haram before now? Because the American media machine hasn’t been covering them much at all, where international press (Russia, BBC, et all) has been doing so for years.
So when you start screaming about what the First Lady is doing or not doing just who’s been reporting on what exactly? See I don’t recall ever even hearing the name Boko Haram in the American news before now. Interesting isn’t it that it’s all their fault that something is happening when practically no one here even knew this group existed outside the State Department.
You know I don’t recall even Fox News talking about this group before now, and I watched a few different networks for varying coverages of things during 2009. Stay classy guys.

I’m sure that Michelle didn’t care at all about Boko Haram — until it undermined democratic party chances and the Obama Legacy. Now she cares plenty. She looks tired. Maybe a long vacation to some expensive, exotic place will take her mind off things.
Any chance Boko Haram is reacting to a video? Maybe they’ll give the girls back if we throw a couple of anti-Islamic film directors in prison.
She’s outraged for the time being … until the next “outrage”. Unfortunately, much of the “outraged” reaction by the media and many others was expected. When the abduction actually happened, where was the outrage then? Cynically, they probably couldn’t think of a nifty hash-tag for their Twitter post.

Don’t expect this Administration, which was quick to blame Benghazi on a “hateful video” that demeaned one religion (Islam) to admit that the agenda of Islamic Boko Haram is to persecute Christians.
As had been pointed out, main pices have called attention to Boko Haram since 2012.

The girls are being shown on TV news as totally covered except faces, all ”converted to Islam,” (SURE!)
But the Boko Haram is interested in being paid by the highest bidder.
So, buying them then freeing them is up to their buyers.
Basically they are being ransomed so Boko Haram can further arm themselves.
a quicj look at wiki will show taht the US Central Command has been working with Nigeria since 2011. There is a limit as to what can be done even now taht a christiann is president of that country, It has never wanted to ask or be given help from the USA,

Actually, Boko Haram means ”Western Education is Sin.”
So, religion is tied up with them from their name on down to every act.
Their leader spoke about WHY his men abducted the girls, killing many more people in the process.
He quoted the Koran where Mohammad claimed that Allah ordered his soldiers to take captives and either use them for sex or sell them for profit.
And the latest video from them showed all those girls in full Muslim dress, converted (at gunpoint, just like Fox News’ Steve Centani did) ready for sale.
In other words, what is NOT Islamic about Boko Haram?

Now, this is just me talking, but I noticed no outrage or even mention in the MSM until Obama said he was going to send help… as if NO ONE wanted to bring it up and embarrass Mr. President unless he gave them the go-ahead by mentioning it first. THEN the “outrage” and hash-tagging could commence.

Watch this video, and try to convince me that that isn’t an Adam’s apple moving around in the center of her/his throat. Keep in mind that there is an operation to make it less visible, and with practice, it can be less obvious. From now on, watch women’s throats and see if you see anything like it.

Evil is always there. All it requires is an environment to let it grow. Libya proved to be a good place for this particular group to grow and flourish. As Libya sinks further into chaos, it will become a training ground for this and other terrorist groups — as the 9/11 Commission Report pointed out.
