I got to thinking the other day- what if we were all liberals? What would the world look like? Before you get riled up, read on.
What if all men were Bill Clinton?
We could talk up women’s rights but in real life take advantage of young women, be sexual predators and serial harassers.
What if we were all Nancy Pelosi?
We could claim to support unions but we would use non-union labor. We could use our positions in government to help boost our net worths by 62% in the middle of a recession.
What if we all Tom Steyer?
We could claim to be all for green causes but make a billion dollars on coal.
What if we were all Al Gore?
We could sell books and make vast fortunes shrieking about global warming while we used ten times the electricity of normal people in our mansions and we could spew tons of pollutants into the atmosphere flying on private jets instead of flying commercial. And we could buy make believe idiocies such as “offsets.”
What if we were all Barack Obama?
We could claim to support equal pay but in real life not pay women the same as we paid men. We could lie to everyone all the time while asserting that we are paragons of virtue. We could lament “dysfunction” in government and wealth inequality while charging $64,000 per couple for a “VIP Clutch” and mingling with the top 0.01% of wealth in the country in Hollywood, the bastion of reality. We could lament dysfunction while being the cause of it. We could make statements that all had expiration dates.
What if we were all Rosie O’Donnell?
We could assert that we opposed guns while we all owned them.
What if we were all Piers Morgan?
We could rant about AR 15s and call people stupid for owning them while our security teams were armed with them.
What if we were all Harry Reid?
We could miraculously become millionaires on a $174,000 salary and whine about big money in politics unless it was money from our billionaires.
What if we all emulated Warren Buffett?
We could say that we should pay more in taxes but never do it.
What if were all liberal women?
We could make phony noises about a Republican war on women but we could also label women “trailer park trash” and “bimbos” and blame young female interns for older men’s indiscretions.
What if we were all Kennedy’s?
We could leave women to drown in a waterway at night, escape culpability and then go on to be lionized in the Senate as force for women’s rights.
What if we were all Al Sharpton?
We could whine about not sharing in prosperity while failing to pay the taxes we owe.
What would the world look like if we were all liberals?
If we were all liberals, women would not receive equal pay for equal work, we would all own guns (AR 15s!), we could lie endlessly, we could make statements which we really didn’t mean, we could amass fortunes in public office, we could suck as much energy as humanly possible, we could pollute freely, we could profit from coal, we could avoid paying more in taxes, we could drown women, we could take advantage of vulnerable young people and freely sexually harass and abuse “bimbos” all while believing we’re better than everyone else.
That’s what the world would look like if we were all liberals.

A liberal (or progressive) does not produce wealth. The core idea is to take from some, skim off some, and re-distribute the rest. If we were all liberals there would be no wealth. We would all live as folk did 50,000 years ago. I would also note that liberal governments are by nature dictatorial, and do not allow dissent. Liberals cannot allow their policies to be challenged, since their views are not logical or reasonable.
The core idea of the progressive is to govern by sentiment and feeling, and ignore facts. Consider the recent ruling that no school can request citizenship information from a prospective student. One can take advantage of the free public education in this country without being a member of that public. SCOTUS has ruled, the law is settled. Those poor children! How can we make them suffer! Little questions about who pays for this are left unspoken, as such questions are heartless. The fact that children do not exist without parents is ignored.
The history of liberal governments has been a sad one; I do not wish to go there.

Heather Mac Donald, contributing editor of City Journal, has an editorial up showing what NY Mayor DeBlasio wants to do to NY.
He calls the conviction that everyone should work for a living an “ideological hang-up.”
He wants to add as many NY’ers as possible to welfare and Food Stamp rolls.
He wants to get rid of any photo or fingerprint IDs for getting gov’t aid.
He is asking for all ObamaCare workers to help identify new potential aid recipients.
De Blasio believes that it is government’s role to “provide basic income and food security to all New Yorkers.”
He views private-sector experience as a disqualifier for working in his administration.
Will NY’s crime numbers start to mirror Chicago’s or Detroit’s?
Will NY’s tax base disappear?
Look where liberals already run things for the pattern.

@john: Clinton should have done time for criminal contempt of court. A lenient federal judge felt sorry for him because he would have to face all sorts of civil charges. This ding bat judge was a victim of slick willy’s attempt of trying to coerce her court and rulings. A New York democrat that was appointed by democrats. War on women? The judge was female.

Dr. John, I think we make a mistake trying to label the left as “liberals.” They are far from being actual liberals. They fit better into the category of “Progressives” that can never actually articulate exactly the end goal of their progressivism. You see, “Progress”, like science, is never final.
We see how illiberal the left is when they sing the praises of a gay basketball player outing himself, calling his “brave” yet slam someone who professes their Biblical beliefs and demand that the person holding Biblical beliefs be punished with either the loss of their job or the loss of a much heralded new TV show. There is nothing liberal about the left. Totalitarian would be a better description. Either subscribe to their beliefs, or be punished. True liberals believe in “live and let live” if it does not pick their pocket or break their leg.
What would we look like if the progressives ruled the nation? USSR? Weimar Republic? North Korea? Cuba? Take your pick. And isn’t it ironic that the very people pushing for these types of government have never lived in one of them?

Leftists change what they refer to themselves as, whenever the current moniker falls into disfavor. It wasn’t very popular to be known as a socialist, so they adopted the term liberal. Once liberal began to be viewed as unpopular, they then began referring to themselves as progressives.
As with all of the Collective’s newspeak relabeling games, the labels tend to have the exact opposite meaning. There’s nothing liberal about socialism or communism. There’s nothing progressive about pursuing policies that regress society back to the days when individuals lived only in service of the State.
It’s why Alinsky encouraged his acolytes to use language like Social Justice and Social Change rather than outright calling for socialist revolution.

DeBlasio has just put a giant sign up saying, “ILLEGALS WELCOME. COME AND GET YOUR WELFARE CHECKS.” The citizens of New York City need to do one of two things: (1) Have a recall election and get him out of office. (2) Move out of the city and let the ones who don’t want to work have the city.
I remember many years ago when Paul Harvey said that a survey of New York City residence said that 3 our of 4 people said you would have to be crazy to want to live in New York City. He then mentioned a person’s name he used a lot, but I don’t remember the name, and that person said he doesn’t trust a survey where 3 out of 4 of the respondents admitted to being crazy.

The same thing that happened to the citizens of countries that became dictatorships, socialist countries, or muslim countries: Whatever the leader or leaders wanted to do with them.
This reminds me of a truck driver who belonged to the Teamsters union. He said he liked Jimmy Hoffa, and he said he knew that Hoffa stole, but as long as it wasn’t from him, he didn’t care. The only place Hoffa could steal from was from Teamsters accounts, so he was stealing from the drivers who paid dues.
We got into WWI and WWII by thinking that as long as the war isn’t affecting us, we don’t care. We even sold ward goods to Germany and Japan until we got in the war.
You could say there are wars going on in the USA today, but the average person figures that as long as it doesn’t affect them, they don’t care. What is that story that tells how things were happening around someone, but it wasn’t affecting them, so they didn’t care, until it happened to them, and nobody cared?

I to asked who would he be popular with. Nobody would trust their daughter with him. He was offered Osama 3 times, and refused to take him ALL 3 TIMES. He and his wife HATE THE MILITARY. He reduced the military and intelligence gathering agencies to where they could not function as they should. I could only come up with these people who would list him as a popular president:
(1) Those who want to have sex with him. (I think his library should have a line of women at the oval office door waiting their turn, and that it should have been built by the Chinese)
(2) Those who want the free stuff he gave out.
(3) Those who could afford to buy the changes in laws they wanted.
(4) Those who want the USA turned into a non-free country.

I honestly hope I am wrong about the USA being infiltrated, but if a person looks at what is going on NOW in the USA, and compare it to what was going on BEFORE other countries were turned into non-free countries, I see it coming. I am over 60, and have watched many countries loose there freedoms.
We even allow one of our enemies who says they want to destroy us to have at least 22 terrorist training camps in the USA. Why are they learning military style tactics? Are they training to defend the USA against terrorist invasions? I don’t think so. How many other countries have let the ones who want to destroy them train within their own borders? They won’t have to INVADE us, because they are already here.

I have mentioned before that I haven’t found even ONE republican that has looked into obama’s eligibility to be president. Just lately I read of one who will look into it, but I must not have bookmarked it. Maybe we will finally get rid of our illegal president.
As far as the border, there have been known terrorists caught trying to walk into the USA from Mexico. How many have not been caught. Iran says they are sending people to America. If they are, I’m guessing that they will send them through Mexico.
With all that both parties are allowing to happen, I feel they both have been infiltrated by the Muslim Brotherhood. Is there ONE member of congress who thinks there might be something wrong with allowing muslims to set up military (terrorist) training camps in America. Has the muslim brotherhood got their people in, or did they buy off our politicians?
