Oprah: white people need to die

oprah says white people need to die_edited

It’s almost sad to see the decline of Oprah Winfrey. Almost. Winfrey is not content to luxuriate in the billions of dollars racist white America has given her. She feels compelled to come to the aid of the inept and dishonest Barack Obama, trashing whites who are critical of Obama as racists. But that’s not enough.

She wants them to die.

Oprah, promoting a movie, tells the BBC:

“There’s a level of disrespect for the office that occurs. And that occurs in some cases and maybe even many cases because he’s African American. There’s no question about that and it’s the kind of thing nobody ever says but everybody’s thinking it.”

There’s no question about it. Everybody’s thinking about it. It’s not that he’s a liar. It’s not that he’s incompetent. It’s only because he’s black.

And the solution for this endemic racism is white people need to die.

GOMPERTZ: Are you saying problem solved?

WINFREY: I’m saying problem not solved. I’m saying that, you know, that’s the beauty of a film like “The Butler,” and it’s the beauty of a film like “12 Years a Slave,” and it’s the beauty of what we’re seeing on stage with “Scottsboro Boys” is that it allows people to see where the root of the problem started. It allows people to see, “Oh, that’s where it all started, this is how far we’ve come, and now this is how much farther we need to go.” Of course problem is not solved. You know, as long as people can be judged by the color of their skin, problem’s not solved. As long as there are people who still, there’s a whole generation – I say this, you know, I said this, you know, for apartheid South Africa, I said this for my own, you know, community in the south – there are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die.

Noel Sheppard points out the obvious:

What Winfrey conveniently ignores is that she endorsed and campaigned for Obama BECAUSE he was an African-American. He wouldn’t have gotten her support or been elected if he wasn’t.

As we have noted previously, Oprah herself has a brush with racism with each new movie release.

Victor Davis Hanson notes Oprah’s short memory, hypocrisy and moral decline:

I don’t recall Oprah objecting when Bush was routinely shouted down. Did she deplore Al Gore calling the Bush team “digital brownshirts”? Or maybe John Glenn invoking the Nazis (“It’s the old Hitler business”) to talk about her president? Nor do I remember her weighing in on Linda Ronstadt’s claim that the Bush administration was “a new bunch of Hitlers.” Harry Belafonte and Julian Bond both routinely labeled their conservative opponents as little more than Nazis or KKK racists. Nor did Oprah note that “there’s a level of disrespect for the office that occurs” when Barbra Streisand compared Bush to Hermann Goering. Was she worried when Alfred A. Knopf published a novel about musing how to kill Bush? Or by a prize-winning docudrama film imagining the killing of Bush? What was her reaction a New York play, “I’m Gonna Kill the President,” was produced? Did Oprah once give a similar BBC interview about the office of the president and disrespect shown it in 2004 when a guest columnist in the Guardian, Charles Brooker, wrote: “On November 2, the entire civilised world will be praying, praying Bush loses. And Sod’s law dictates he’ll probably win, thereby disproving the existence of God once and for all. The world will endure four more years of idiocy, arrogance and unwarranted bloodshed, with no benevolent deity to watch over and save us. John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, John Hinckley Jr. — where are you now that we need you?”

What might explain her outrage now about criticism shown Obama, but silence just recently when abject hatred and dreams of violence were voiced against her president? That answer may explain a lot about what Oprah has become.

Oprah wants white people to die. There’s no question about that and it’s the kind of thing nobody ever says but everybody’s thinking it

If Oprah really wants to see what disrespect for a President looks like, she can go here.

And that’s just for starters.

@DrJohn:

The left taught us this.

And this is your endlessly elastic justification to write anything you feel like, I’ve noticed. So why should anyone believe a thing you write, when you don’t feel constrained by any sort of ethics; rather you feel empowered to do whatever you imagine ‘the other side’ is doing?

Arne Duncan now wishes he would have expressed his racist sentiments more skillfully.
Heh.

In an interview with CNN on Monday, U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan attempted to downplay his inflammatory racist remarks about “white suburban moms” who oppose the Common Core State Standards Initiative. “My wording, my phrasing, was a little clumsy and I apologize for that,” Duncan told CNN’s Rene Marsh. “I didn’t say them perfectly, and I apologize for that,” he elaborated.

See?
If racist remarks are made PERFECTLY they are OK and you won’t need to apologize later!
Hey!
Arne said exactly what he feels.
That WHITE women are holding back Obama’s liberal agenda in our public schools.

@Richard Wheeler:

I’ll say again. I was referring to racist commentS and death threats made against the POTUS by posters here at F.A. Curt erased them when they were brought to his attention.

Not true. There was no statement that could have been implied as a death threat. Much worse was said about George Bush and libs applauded them. It all just boo hoo-ing by the progressives to try to make their guy look infringed upon.

@Redteam:

Not true. There was no statement that could have been implied as a death threat. Much worse was said about George Bush and libs applauded them. It all just boo hoo-ing by the progressives to try to make their guy look infringed upon.

What Rich says is true. There have been some seriously ignorant people make seriously racists death threats. Curt has not only deleted the comments, but slapped the offending parties with the ban hammer. All the comments I’ve seen have been one-offs.

@Tom:

if Bush being called a “loser” is really your justification for calling the current President a Socialist, Marxist, secret Muslim, al queda and/or Soros plant, who was born in Kenya, is decidedly un-American, and in fact hates America, etc. etc. etc., well I think you’d do well to learn what “proportionate response” means.

I’m not going to say I agree with the topic of Dr. J.’s post. I was pretty sure what Oprah meant when she said what she said.
Either way, no one’s hands are clean in this. For the last five years the left has whipped out the race before the GOP can finish a sentence. When the GOP disagrees with anything legislatively, their racists. Tell people they won’t be able to keep their insurance long before they found out they really couldn’t keep their insurance…..racists! Don’t believe in The Gang of Eights amnesty bill…….racists!

“Republicans are using [the IRS scandal] as their latest weapon in the war against the black man. ‘IRS’ is the new ‘N****r.'” — Martin Bashir

“The language of GOP racial politics is heavy on euphemisms that allow the speaker to deny any responsibility for the racial content of his message,” Williams wrote. “References to a lack of respect for the ‘Founding Fathers’ and the ‘Constitution’ also make certain ears perk up by demonizing anyone supposedly threatening core ‘old-fashioned American values.’” — Juan Williams

“That really bothered me. You notice (Romney) said anger twice. He’s really trying to use racial coding and access some really deep stereotypes about the angry black man. This is part of the playbook against Obama, the ‘otherization,’ he’s not like us. I know it’s a heavy thing, I don’t say it lightly, but this is ‘n*ggerization.’” — Touré

“Do you remember tea baggers? It was just so much easier when we could just call them racists. I just don’t know why we can’t call them racists, or functionally retarded adults. The functionally retarded adults, the racists – with their cries of, ‘I want my country back. You know what they’re really saying is, ‘I want my white guy back.’ They apparently had no problem at all for the last eight years of habeas corpus being suspended, the Constitution being [expletive] on, illegal surveillance, lied to on a war or two, two stolen elections – yes, the John Kerry one was stolen too. That’s not tin-foil hat time. ” — Janeane Garofalo

“One of the things about Herman Cain is, I think that he makes that white Republican base of the party feel okay, feel like they are not racist because they can like this guy. I think he(he’s) giving that base a free pass. And I think they like him because they think he’s a black man who knows his place. I know that’s harsh, but that’s how it sure seems to me.” — Karen Finney

I love Janeane Garofalo’s rant. Everything she says about the Bush years, Obama has done on steroids. But I guess it’s ok as long as someone other than a republican does it. Kind of reminds me of Greg. He loves the Constitution unless a democrat is in office.

@Aqua: Thanks for confirming what I said. Curt has shut it down quickly.

@Richard Wheeler: 82

I’m fascinated by old timers like RT, who seem to suggest that the only racists. are those who condemn it’s existence.–strange thinking.

You’re not thinking in line with what I said. For blacks (or anyone) to point out racism is not condemning it, it is playing the race card. Sharpton and Jackson would go out of business if they didn’t have multiple race cards to play. Their whole existence depends on them pointing it out. When racists stop making a living off of it, it will likely go away. I don’t see honest hard working people, regardless of their race, being any problem to society. But when someone can’t get a job and they blame it only on the fact of what their skin color is, they should look further into their qualifications and preparedness for the job they are seeking. I’m not naive enough to think there is no racism, I just think that it exists for the racists to make a living off of. Secular progressive socialists are much more danger to the standard of living in the US than racism will ever be.

@Richard Wheeler:

You’re Joe McCarthy on steroids

and as you’ve conceded in the past, History has proven McCarthy correct.

@Tom: 92

Did you import this attitude from the Jim Crow era? You and Dr John, with this aggressive attitude against free expression, are the ones who seem to be conflating white people and racism.

Is there a ‘free expression’ reserved for progressives and racists?

I find it offensive that you think muzzling a person of color’s right to speak out against racism

Why would anyone want to muzzle anyone’s right to show their racism? The more racist Oprah becomes, the more her popularity falls. If you don’t think so, let her become the spokesperson for Obamacare and see how that deep sixes her popularity. She is playing the racist card to boost the performance of her network. It has tanked severely.

@Tom: 97

and part of why she thinks it isn’t solved is because there are some people around who were raised racist, have lived that way for their entire lives, and likely won’t change.

You’re talking of Oprah here, right? She was raised racist and remains so until this day. right?

@retire05, #80:

You really are not all that bright, are you, Greggie?

If that were so, it would still be a far better thing than being a hater.

@Redteam: McCarthy was a jackass.
Did you see Aqua’s #111 confirming racist death threats against the POTUS. Surprised you missed em.When racists like those go away permanently–God willing–we’ll be a better society. Wouldn’t you agree?

@Tom: 99

Oprah Winfrey is an African American woman of a certain age, so it would be perfectly plausible that she has had direct experience with racism, and that she currently still has strong feelings of anger and empathy and angst regarding the subject.

There appears to be an effort here to put Oprah back in Mississippi during the slavery years. She was born in 1954, she likely never attended a segregated jr high or high school so where did she ‘experience’ all this ‘racism’? I’ve lived in the South all my life but integration happened at a rapid rate after 1964, when she was 10. Anyone that is still harboring feelings of anger and empathy and angst against something that happed 50 years ago has problems that integration will never solve. Apparently this ‘intensive’ discrimination against her didn’t inhibit her making a ton of money. Maybe it was the white people that had sympathy with those playing the race card that helped her. The race card is getting a little frayed around the edges.

@Greg:

If that were so, it would still be a far better thing than being a hater.

Standard OFA/Democrat (but I repeat myself) response.

It’s not your stupidity that makes me laugh, Greggie, it’s your predictability.

@Redteam:

The race card is getting a little frayed around the edges.

We will see how well that card works out in the coming elections with Hispanics becoming a larger and larger voting bloc. Unfortunately for the race pimps, Hispanics don’t suffer from white guilt.

@Tom:

Has it occurred to you, in your myopia, that Oprah might have a better handle on whether African Americans’ lives are still impacted by racism?

Has it occurred to you Tom, that Oprah is no more related to Africa than you are? Why would one person born in the US have a better handle on racism than any other? Doesn’t all Americans basically share a way of life? Just because one person harbors problems they may have had 50 years ago is no reflection of the way most persons might handle the same set of circumstances.

@Redteam: In 1964 a switch was flipped. All sang Kumbaya and racism no longer existed in America. Thanks for clarifying–I’d missed that.

@Richard: In 1964 a pendulum was swung, it has now reached the other insane side where everything said about a black is racist, even if it has nothing to do with race, but with the color of his agenda – RED!

Aqua
ON 112, THEY ARE MORE THAN RACIST, THEY HAVE A FILTHY MOUTH,
AND THAT’S WHAT DEMOCRATS TALK ABOUT, HOW LOW THEY ARE,
LET THEM TASTE THAT MUDD, THEY CANNOT SINK DEEPER,
WELL THERE IS THOSE ACCUSING TED CRUZ OF TERRORIST, ANOTHER SAID ARSONIST, WHAT IS THEIR NAMES? OH YES
I GOT IT, NANCY PELOSI, AND HARRY REID
AND MORE OF,
SO IF WE TELL THEM OUR MIND THEY SHOULD NOT BE SURPRISE,
WE LEARN FROM THEM CLASSY PEOPLE ELECTED BY UNINFORMED CITIZENS, BOY IF THEY ONLY KNEW JUST A BIT WOULD BE ENOUGH,
WE’LL TAKE THE WELL MANNERED REPUBLICANS ANY TIME,
AND CHANGE THE LOW RESPECT ATTITUDE OF THE YOUNG THEY HAVE TRAINED AND INDOCTRINATED THESES LAST YEARS, SO WHEN A GREAT GENERAL IS INVITED, TO THEIRS SHOOL, THEY CAN BEHAVE LIKE REAL POLITE AMERICANS,
NOT HATEFULL FOREIGNERS WHICH TEACH THEM,
THAT AMERICA IS SOLD TO A GLOBAL COUNTRY,

@Tom: 99

What’s the reason you take a tragedy like Trayvon Martin’s death

Tragedy of killing Travon Martin? I think it was a tragedy that he was raised the way he was and that he didn’t know better than to attempt to kill someone. That he was killed in the process of attempting to kill someone is a real nightmare for the person that was attacked and had to take someone’s life just to defend their own.

@DrJohn:

screams racism if you say Obama can’t play golf well.

If being African American keeps you from playing golf well, then Tiger Woods……….

@Nan G: 106

Duncan told CNN’s Rene Marsh. “I didn’t say them perfectly, and I apologize for that,” he elaborated.

Nan, you’re right, he only apologized for not saying it PERFECTLY, not for what he said.

@Aqua:

What Rich says is true.

Well, that’s clearly one interpretation. I would not have made the comment and if it were my blog, I would likely have deleted it also with a warning. But it is clear that what is red to some may well be blue to someone else.

@Redteam, #127:

I see your poster boy has been in the news again today. This time for threatening his unarmed girlfriend with a shotgun. How long does it take some people to figure this guy out? Or to figure out what asinine stand-your-ground laws lead to?

Now we’ve got Adam Lee Edmondson, a twitchy stand-your-ground advocate, acquitted after murdering an unarmed black man, Chris Johnson, in a bar. Johnson had taken offense at Edmondson’s repeated harassment of his female companion, who happened to be white. After a second incident, Johnson physically confronted him. Humiliated, Edmondson went out to his car, returned with a handgun, and shot Johnson dead, point-blank.

He (Edmondson) said during his trial that “I got my gun in hopes that if anything happened, instead of getting beat up, I could pull the gun and that would end it.”

Given his public behavior, he probably deserved to get beat up. So what we’ve got now is a law that allows a total jackass to act in an insulting manner, shoot and kill the person who takes exception, and then whine about his right to defend himself with deadly force and get off Scot free.

@Redteam: What was red to me was also red to Aqua and Curt. You think it might have been blue to you?

@Richard Wheeler: :

McCarthy was a jackass.

Maybe, but a very accurate one. Remember the challenge, no lib on this site has been able to list one person that McCarthy accused of being a communist that has been proven untrue. None. All they shout is that he is a jackass. I know a lot of them, but not being a jackass is not a requirement of being accurate.

@Richard Wheeler:

Did you see Aqua’s #111 confirming racist death threats against the POTUS. Surprised you missed em.

I saw 111, but that doesn’t mean Aqua is correct. I read those comments. I didn’t like them and wouldn’t make them. Why do you think it has been so popular for Dims and Libs to call for the death of Bush? Why aren’t the Dims offended in those cases?

@Redteam: Believe me RT it’s not only libs that think McCarthy was a jackASS.
Are you saying Aqua was incorrect in his #111 statement? Are you saying Curt was wrong in deleting the racist death threats to the POTUS.
For once be clear in what you mean–Thanks

@Richard Wheeler:

In 1964 a switch was flipped. All sang Kumbaya and racism no longer existed in America. Thanks for clarifying–I’d missed that.

yea, I guess you were over there in Viet Nam shooting communists (fellow travelers). No, racism is still here, the tool of Sharpton and Jackson and several others. When they quit making money off racism, it will cease to exist.

@Greg:

Given his public behavior, he probably deserved to get beat up. So what we’ve got now is a law that allows a total jackass to act in an insulting manner, shoot and kill the person who takes exception, and then whine about his right to defend himself with deadly force and get off Scot free.

I haven’t read the entire law, but I’m gonna bet that it doesn’t say that ‘total jackasses can act in an insulting manner’ and I’ll bet it doesn’t say that a person can shoot another for for objecting to what someone says about his wife, and I’ll bet it doesn’t say that the law only applies if it is a white man shooting a black man. In fact, I’ll go out on a limb and bet that the word ‘race’ is not in the law.
Are you going to tell me that if you and your wife are out on the street and someone attacks your wife that you don’t want the right to defend her? That you think you should be required to do no more than to call the police for assistance, even if she has to continue being beat up or raped for those 10 minutes.
Is this the mentality of secular progressives in general, or just you?

@Redteam: “fellow travelers” Are you now accusing me of being a Communist? You sound like jackASS McCarthy.

re Edmondson and Johnson you should get clear on whose girlfriend was being harassed by which drunk.

@Richard Wheeler: 135

For once be clear in what you mean–Thanks

Wow, such a request from a progressive, I’ll bet Retire05 would like for you to pass that law. You, Greg, and Tom rarely address the subject and usually head off on a tangent. but, anyhow here is the answers:

Believe me RT it’s not only libs that think McCarthy was a jackASS.

I will concede that a lot of communists, secular progressives, and socialists would agree.

Are you saying Aqua was incorrect in his #111 statement?

Here’s what Aqual said in 111:

What Rich says is true. There have been some seriously ignorant people make seriously racists death threats. Curt has not only deleted the comments, but slapped the offending parties with the ban hammer. All the comments I’ve seen have been one-offs.

There’s nothing to agree with or disagree with in that statement, with the possible exception of: ” What Rich says is true.” You may been correct at some point in your life. The remainder of Aqua’s statement was a general statement and may be true in his opinion, which is just as good as anyone’s, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I’ve only seen one of the deleted messages and I wouldn’t necessarily say it was ‘racist’.

@Redteam:

Well, that’s clearly one interpretation.

So you’re saying that someone posting,

I hope someone kills that n***er

may have more than one interpretation? I’m intrigued, please expound upon your thinking.

@Aqua: I don’t think you should post such comments even if you are just quoting someone else. It was deleted when someone else used it.
Ask any black person in the world if they think the N word, as used, is racist.

Note: last sentence edited to reflect correct user.

@Richard Wheeler: You don’t get tired of beating a dead horse? have you been to whentostopdiggin.com?

@Greg:

I see your poster boy

Greg, want to expound on what that question means? RW, how about you?

Aqua RT says “the n word as YOU used it” I’m sure you’re glad this clown left Ga.

#146 He ducks your question.

Michelle made this statement today about Obamacare:

“We don’t believe in handouts. We don’t think anyone should get a free ride,” she said

I’m sure glad she cleared that up, I’ve been under the impression that she thought that all these vacations she has been taking were ‘free’. whew!!!!! glad she now realizes they’re not….

@Richard Wheeler:

Aqua RT says “the n word as YOU used it” I’m sure you’re glad this clown left Ga.

And that question asked by someone with a degree from a cracker jack boxed printed on toilet paper, used or not has not been determined.
And I don’t care if Aqua is happy or not about whether I left Georgia or not. And I’m sure it doesn’t matter to Aqua either way.

@Richard Wheeler:

glad this clown

Hey, we’re anonymous here, how did you find out I’m a clown?

@Redteam: edited you say Talk about digging out of holes. lol

re education—see you found use for my cracker jacks ref.—where are your 2 degrees ACTUALLY from?

I’m sure you’re glad this clown left Ga.

World Clown Association issues demand that Richard Wheeler apologize for using “clown” as a pejorative. A speech will be given on the bigoted use of “clown” at the upcoming WCA convention.

@Redteam:

And I’m sure it doesn’t matter to Aqua either way.

And RW continues to show that he cannot debate unless he is dragging someone else into the mix, trying to boost his own opinions. SSDD.

@retire05: I’m happy to bring in Aqua at anytime. Although this time he brought himself in to question RT.
You bring in RT—That is sad.
