Obama & Pals Can’t Stop Digging On ObamaCare

They just can’t stop digging:

As President Obama promises to fix HealthCare.gov, his administration is touting what it calls “improvements” in design, specifically a feature that allows you to “See Plans Now.” White House press secretary Jay Carney has said, “Americans across the country can type in their zip code and shop and browse.”

Industry analysts, such as Jonathan Wu, point to how the website lumps people only into two broad categories: “49 or under” and “50 or older.”

Wu said it’s “incredibly misleading for people that are trying to get a sense of what they’re paying.”

Prices for everyone in the 49-or-under group are based on what a 27-year-old would pay. In the 50-or-older group, prices are based on what a 50-year-old would pay.

CBS News ran the numbers for a 48-year-old in Charlotte, N.C., ineligible for subsidies. According to HealthCare.gov, she would pay $231 a month, but the actual plan on BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina’s website costs $360, more than a 50 percent increase. The difference: BlueCross BlueShield requests your birthday before providing more accurate estimates.

The numbers for older Americans are even more striking. A 62-year-old in Charlotte looking for the same basic plan would get a price estimate on the government website of $394. The actual price is $634.

Come on man…this is just embarrassing.

Even more embarrassing?

Yup, you heard that right. Obama would of delayed the rollout if the GOP had just supported ObamaCare but since the GOP opposed it he had no choice but to rollout a program that wasn’t ready…after 3 years of preparation.

Have the liberals blamed Bush yet?

Curt, I love your poster slogan:
“At no time was the Obama administration aware of what the Obama administration was doing.”
Perfect!
Back in May I posted a link to this article:
Obama’s Shrinking Unit of Account
In it we learn that a unit of account is a GAAP concept that refers to an entity for which results can be clearly distinguished and accountability logically required.
Obama took office as head of the Executive Branch of the US federal government.
But, since then, Obama has been steadily shrinking his area of responsibility until now, when it appears to only reign over his meal times and bed times and play times!
This is a huge shrinkage considering he once claimed he would start making the oceans recede.
Between then and now Obama employed the worst policies during a recession, resulting in the slowest recovery from one EVER since WWII.
So, he blamed Bush.

But now, Obama has no one to blame.
Why on earth not allow Americans to browse insurance points accurately?
Obviously because that would lead to ”sticker shock.”
The other day I asked what proportion of sick vs young/healthy people are actually signing on the various exchanges?
Well, we still don’t know.
And, if this question is left to Obama, we never will.

I guess one of the problems with the site is they didn’t want people to know how expensive the plans are. The problem with a website is the links to your site files are in your code. So, for anyone interested, here is a link to the price comparisons without subsidies. Please don’t look at the prices while eating or drinking, you will most likely choke.

@Aqua, #2:

That seems like a good tool for getting specific figures.

I just checked the rates for various plans available in my own county. They vary from what I consider inexpensive to very high—the highest options being the gold plans. I’m in Indiana. People in other states might get a significantly different range of prices.

You can click on FILTER and specify State and County, to zero in your area of interest.

Would some of you Kool Aid drinking Dimocrats explain this?

Obamacare penalties may be delayed
Official says effective deadline to have insurance could be postponed

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/obamacare-mandate-may-be-delayed-2013-10-23?link=MW_home_latest_news

When the Republicans were trying to get a delay, we were all told “it’s the law, it has to go into effect and can not be delayed” We were told many times, but now, just because some Dimocrat wants to delay it, it seems that it won’t be any problem to do so.

I just had a novel idea. Maybe it’s politics.

@Redteam: I say don’t let the o-blama and the wachos off the hook!! I implements as written or not at all. Republicans tried to implement in pieces and the wachos blamed the shutdown on them!! I would say that funding for this turd only goes out it is launched enbloc or no funding at all!!

@Common Sense: Well, I just read that Obama has violated the law by unilaterally extending the time without any authority. It’s illegal, of course.

@Redteam: I just read that, too.
http://washingtonexaminer.com/law-says-obama-cant-extend-obamacare-enrollment-period-without-act-of-congress/article/2537721
Seems when Republicans wanted to do it LEGALLY they were ”arsonists,” ”bomb-carrying terrorists,” ”anarchists,” and more.
But when Obama ILLEGALLY just extends Obamacare enrollment period without act of Congress he is ”pragmatic.”

I sympathize with the obamacare programmers. I don’t know anything about programming computers, but try to imagine programing a web sight that will give the user the information the site owner wants the user to get, and not the ACTUAL information, but it can’t be so far off that the user can claim the site is rigged, like the voting machines that changed a Romney vote for an obama vote. That has to be a hard thing to do.

The only concern the democrats have for the law is getting around it if it is in the way, and it gets in their way a lot.
